One monster from the crowd races towards me, I take it down and I kill it instantly. Two others rush at me simultaneously, I kick one in the face and the other tackles me and attempts to bite me. I stab it in its throat until it refuses to struggle against me and finish off the other monster I injured. I clear about 25% of the monster crowd but one, in particular, stands out, the one who attacked a perfectionist. He was much more grotesque this time around and way more muscular, I never knew it was possible for veins to always show. He stares me right in the face while I exterminate his people. He soon lets out a fearsome roar that makes the ground below me tremble as if it were gelatin, he sprints extremely fast despite his new physique. He throws a sluggish punch and I take advantage and try to slash off his hand, but my blade stops halfway through his arm. I stagger out of confusion, and he takes notice of this and punches me away. I land on the ground and 2 monsters jump in the air on the course to land on me, I position my feet in between both of them and I bounce them off of me the moment they made an impact. I scramble to my feet, and I sprint towards the monster that has my knife in his arm. I slide under him grabbing the knife as well and I jump on his back and deliver multiple stabs to the back, he's unaffected. His arms make a grotesque movement, they churn and turn until he can grasp me from his backside. I nearly vomit from the sight of it I slash his wrist, he releases his grip, and screeches at the top of his lungs. I vault under him and attempt to take him down once and for all, it fails, and he picks me up and slams me down to the ground once more, and kicks me away. I recover and I run to catch my breath and strategize. I notice 2 things left behind by dead comrades, night vision goggles and a pistol. I pick up the pistol and frantically shoot out the lights and grab the night vision goggles. Gaining the upper hand, I run at top speed, and I jump on top of him once more and I unleash the entire magazine left in the pistol into his brain, or what's left of it. He gurgles but doesn't die.
"Can you die already!!" I scream, I notice the eyes of the monsters gravitate towards me, I realize that I had to finish it quickly. And before I could finish that thought I was tackled by the muscular monster cracking 1-night vision goggle lens. I struggle on the ground for a bit, and he picks me up by the collar once again and slams me on the ground relentlessly and my vision goes blurry, I quickly pull out my knife and drive it into his eye, causing him to let me go immediately, I sweep his legs during his loss of balance, and I scramble for another weapon, an assault rifle. I grab it and place it in his screaming mouth, and I let it spray until the monster stopped moving. The monsters run into the darkness, and I find a working walkie talkie and I begin to speak.
"Hostiles retreated requesting extraction!" I say in an exhausted voice. I hear a near-instant response.
"We're on our way right now Aaron!" Olivia responds excitedly. I smile out of joy, and I wait for a few minutes and a loud click resonates within the entire room. The door begins to rise, and the entire room is illuminated once more and I limp over to them, and my comrades run over to me and carry me out with the medical team. I faint as soon as the sun's nurturing waves scathe my face.
"Good work, I'm proud of you my child," The voice tells me in a sincere and quiet voice.
