"Rylie, are you ready now?", Chane called from downstairs. "I'm on my way Chane", she called while running down the stairs.
Chane looked at her in amusement while she clambered down the stairs. She looked so focused on getting down the stairs and trying her best to get ready in time so he was not late for work. She's so considerate and sweet. 'Sweet in so many ways', his naughty mind reminded him.
'Gosh I need to stop being such a creep', Chane thought to himself. Rylie popped off the last step and smiled at him, "I'm ready", she said stating the obvious.
"Took you long enough sweetheart", he said, wiggling his eyebrows at her and teasing her.
"And I believe that is your fault Mr. Newman", came a smart ass reply from Rylie.
"How so? Miss debater", Chane asking smirking at her. Rylie's face started to flush and she held down her head and started smiling.
If her skin wasn't a beautiful chocolate brown then Chane knows he would've seen her face as red as a ripe tomato. Rylie gave him a hard nudge because Chane went into a fit of laughter because of Rylie's shyness.
"We are late because you found it interesting to bury your face in between my thighs", Rylie bursted out without even thinking. Chane stopped laughing instantly and looked at her with a glint of amusement in his eyes.
"Is that so, Miss Union", he said walking closer.
"Y-yes", Rylie replied with her breath hitching in her throat because of the closeness of Chane to her.
No matter how many times Chane got close to her, her skin instantly caught fire, her stomach instantly filled with butterflies and she felt mushy all over.
Chane knew how much his character affected Rylie, he was affected by her too. She was just so perfect, he loved the electricity between them. It was definitely sometime he loved feeling. Not to sound harsh, but Chane still didn't know what he was feeling for Rylie, he just knows that he loves their vybe and he doesn't want to stop, he knows he can't stop. He just wants to be around her all the time.
Rylie clapped her hands in front of his face because all Chane was doing, was standing there and looking at her.
He jumped back to reality and gave a tiny laugh that sounded somewhat nervous. "I think we need to get going", Rylie said giving him a devilish look, knowing deep down in herself she had an effect on Chane, he just didn't want to make it visible. Knowing she has an effect on him, might just be an advantage to her because she could pull these strings just like how he tries to pull hers all the time.
Chane nodded profusely, and said "Yes, let's go, I'll lead the way". And with that Chane turned around and walked into the garage. Rylie followed behind him immediately.
'He looks so good in suits', Rylie thought to herself, admiring him from the back. She liked the way his suit hugged his body, the way his trousers hugged his fine bottom and how his jacket sat perfectly across his broad shoulders. It was like anything he wore he looked good in it. She was pretty convinced he looked good in a sack.
"Are you checking me out?" Chane asked, spinning around suddenly to look at her. She stopped abruptly in her tracks so she did not bump into him.
"No, I wasn't", she replied defensively trying not to make eye contact because she knows from heaven to earth that she was lying.
He chuckled, "You're lying and I can tell when you're lying, plus I could feel your eyes piercing through my back my dear".
Rylie scratched her head and looked around for something to say to take her out of this sticky situation.
"Well, I am late for school, and you Mr. Newman, you are late for work", was Rylie's comeback, with her putting emphasis on the 'you'. Chane gave a tinkering laugh and nodded his head.
"Yeah, you're right", but this isn't the end of this conversation. Chane finally said pointing his finger at her as if he was showing her that he was serious.
Rylie shrugged her shoulders and waltz towards the passenger's side of the car, as if she was trying to say, 'You don't phase me Mr. Chane, so take that for a change'.
Chane nodded and smirked, he understood what her body language was telling him, but since time is against them, he is going to leave this little encounter until later.
Chane came around to the passenger's side and opened the door for Rylie, like he always does, "Here you go ma' lady", Chane said using a foreign accent and bowing, showing signs of politeness. Rylie giggles and replies also using a foregin language, "Why thank you kind sir, you are such a gentleman".
Chane winked at her and gave her a sharp nod and closed the door. He then jogged over to the other side of the car and let himself in.
Chane then started the car and it let out a low purr. Chane rubbed the steering wheel and said, "That's my girl, you're so amazing, I feel like I should worship you more". Rylie looked at him and said, "You know Chane, we shouldn't be worshiping our materials, not saying that you are, but the way you praise your car and evolve around it as if it's your God, that's not right".
Chane looked at her as if she made a point, after all he noticed that Rylie is very smart.
"Why do you say that hun?" Chane asked curiously.
"Because, even though I am not a religious person, and there were times in my life when I felt that God stood me up, we should actually look to worship him instead of technology and devices and machines", Rylie replied after taking a deep intake of air.
Chane was a bit taken aback because he didn't expect that answer, he never thought of it that way. Rylie was really smarter than he thought.
"You know, I think you're right, and you are pretty smart", Chane said as he put the car in reverse and pulled out of the driveway.
Rylie blushed and held down her head. She liked when Chane complemented her, it made her feel like a star. Chane shifted the gear stick to drive and started to journey to Rylie's
After a moment of silence Chane said, "Rylie, why don't you come work for me? Be my part time assistant". Rylie chuckled and dropped her shoulder and said, "I already work for you Chane, and I don't think I would fit into your world".
"What do you mean you won't fit into my world, you need to stop doubting yourself, you are smart and honest and trustworthy and you are the perfect person to be my personal assistant", he said reassuring her.
"You deserve to be there just like everybody else, you're not less than anyone else, you're just as smart, you don't have to be fancy to hold a place in my company, just those traits that I have listed and you are up to standard for everything", Chane said in one breath.
Riley was surprised at his answer, she never knew he thought of her that way. She was absolutely speechless, she tried looking for words to say but she couldn't come up with anything to say.
Chane realized that she was speechless, so he said, "You don't have to say anything right now, just promise me you'll think about it. I can make it flexible enough so it doesn't get in the way of your courses, just think about it okay".
Rylie nodded and said, "I'll think about it". Chane smiled and came to a stop.
"Well, I believe this is your stop my dear", Chane said looking out the window at the institution.
"Thank you", Rylie said, grabbing her bag and placing a quick kiss on his cheek. Chane's cheeks reddened a little bit, but he quickly brushed it off because he didn't want Rylie to see. "I'll see you later", he called out after her.
She turned and waved to him and he drove off after tooting his horn.
