Chapter 4 - Mutated Magicore

"That's the thing... I don't NEED spells!"

Looking at the purple flame dancing in Dom's palm, Aunt Tu was shocked beyond belief. She had never seen such a deep purple flame before, and not only that, Dom summoned it without saying any spells! With a deep breath, Tu tried desperately to process all of this new information. In the mean time Sebastian barely managed to make it to a nearby chair before he slumped into it with a dazed and bewildered expression. After a few minutes of silence Tu hesitantly spoke.

"Dom, if I'm correct, you need a way to hide your drastic change in identity. You also want a way to explain how you can suddenly use magic. Am I right?"

'She picked up on that pretty quick, well that's to be expected of Auntie' Dom thought.

Dom nodded sharply and with that she went back into deep thought, turning over the problem in her head. Sebastian simply looked at the youth amazed, in the entirety of his life he never heard of anything that was EXACTLY like this, but from the recesses of his mind he could recall something that was similar.

"It's like a mutated Magicore..."

Sebastian had mumbled it, but since the room was quiet, both Dom and Tu heard him clearly. As if a light bulb lit up in her mind Tu immediately shouted,

"HEYYYY! I think you're onto something Sebastian!"

"Am I...?"

Sebastian's eyes were squinted in suspicion, how could he have been right about a situation this complex? He could barely perform the basic spells. He thought at first that Tu must have been playing another one of her harmless pranks. Meanwhile, Dom look at her confused for a moment, only to quickly realize what she meant.

"OF COURSE! I can use a mutated Magicore as an excuse! I can say that the reason it was undetectable before was because, it somehow was a part of my veins!"

Tu looked at Dom while nodding in approval.

"And for your fire we can say it's a by-product of the Magicore. That's the reason you can cast it without chanting!"

Dom smiled, but he was immediately reminded of something.

"What about my sudden loss of weight? My whole life I could never lose weight, but all of a sudden I lost almost 50 pounds in one night."

From the corner of the room Sebastian raised his head with a small grin on his face and spoke.

"What if we blame it on your Magicore awakening?"

Tu and Dom looked at Sebastian, then at each other. Once they absorbed what he said fully Tu cracked a wide grin and Dom gave him a thumbs up.

"That makes so much sense!" Tu cried with excitement.

"Maybe I should hire you as a secretary instead of a driver...get to know your..inner thoughts a bit better" she winked with a cheeky grin.

"I'm not sure if that was a joke, but if it was it wasn't very funny Miss Amare" Sebastian said, chuckling slightly while he spoke.

Dom smiled at the pair's antics, "Moving on...that really is a good explanation for this. There have been cases of late magicore awakenings that result in drastic changes of physique. I mean, eye colors changing is probably a little rarer, but losing lots of weight should be fairly common!"

Hours had passed while the trio planned everything out thoroughly. They were just about to stop when Tu got a call on her HoloRing,

"Hello?"

"Hello Madame Tutela, you and your family have been invited by the mayor for a dinner, she said that it would be the perfect opportunity to advertise your newest product!"

"I see... Tell the mayor I'll be there, and give her my best!"

When Tu hung up, Dom looked at her with a raised eye brow,

"When did you become 'besties' with the mayor?"

"When she started making use of my products and... Other Services~"

Tu had a naughty expression, and Dom looked at her with an expression that said he heard too much information. Tu simply giggled and an idea appeared in her head.

"OH! Why don't you come? I can introduce you to some of my friends!"

Dom had no excuses in mind that could politely get him out of his situation, so he decided to just agree. He had wanted to continue the Dragofication, but since he hadn't told either of the adults about it he unfortunately had to postpone it. Since Sebastian was there anyways he decided to attend the event with them, despite being tired from the day's excitement and surprises. Dom went into a interview room in the office building to change, using clothing that was provided by one of his aunt's assistants. They were still a bit baggy but at least they were formal enough for the dinner. He had black slacks, a black vest, a formal white shirt, and a pair of freshly shined black dress shoes. He had to admit, he looked pretty good all things considered. Dom strolled out of the office and met his aunt and Sebastian back in the private parking lot. Sebastian was dressed as proper as ever and Tu had already changed into a very attractive red dress that exposed one leg and a delicate pair of cherry red stilettos in pleasant contrast to her long, wavy blonde hair.

Getting into the Magicar they went to the school to pick up Eva. She was standing outside waiting for Sebastian, but was shocked to see her mother in the car, even more so when she realized that someone else was there.

"Who is this mom?"

Tu had to cover her mouth as she was almost split in half about to laugh. Dom looked at his cousin dumbfounded, sure he looked different, but he only lost weight and his eye color changed.

"Uh... Eva... How do i put this... That's your cousin..!"

When Tu finished speaking she couldn't hold back anymore and busted out laughing. Eva looked at her cousin in surprise. Sebastian pulled away from the school as Dom explained what Sebastian and Tu had already learned. To say she was shocked was an understatement, but more then anything she was happy for her cousin. She saw how much it pained him to not have magic, and now he did!

'Maybe he won't be bullied anymore!' she thought hopefully.

Minutes had passed while they chatted, and they were so immersed they hardly noticed that they had already arrived at their destination. The building they arrived at was a large ornate art hall that the mayor had rented for the night.

"Alright Eva! Get changed and we'll wait for you outside, don't forget to use the privacy mode! Unless...you WANT to have a bunch of horny rich teenagers staring at you"

"MOM!!!" Eva blushed.

Tu giggled mischievously as she and Dom left the car. The minute they turned their heads the windows tinted black, signifying the car had entered 'privacy mode'. A few minutes later Eva left the car wearing a beautiful but reserved sapphire blue dress. It had a slightly ruffled neckline that plunged into a small v shape, and fell to the floor like ocean waves. She looked just as stunning as Tu, but the dress and her ponytail hairdo combined to make her appear more innocent than her mother. Dom couldn't help but sigh as he began to think,

'I clearly didn't inherit the looks in the family!'

When they were walking to the entrance someone called out from behind, "Evangeline! How have you been!"

A man's tone called out. Eva froze and she could only mumble,

"Oh no... he's here..."
