Kotori leaned her back against the wall and stared at the positive pregnancy test. She read over the lines a million times already and sobbed.
There was a knock on the door, and Amelia's eyes widen. Kotori quickly tried to hide the pregnancy, but Amelia snatched it away from her.
It was a strange distance between Kotori and Kyosuke, the two just co-existed among each other in the villa. She would walk past him and not say a single word, and Kyosuke spends more time in his study. Amelia sensed something fishy had happened but nothing like this.
"Did you sleep with my fiancée?" Amelia asked.
The question made Kotori's heart sink to the pits of her stomach. Her shoulders were shaking, and her lips whimpered. The words could not come out of her mouth, and she was rendered speechless.
I am afraid to admit it because if I do, I will have to accept the pregnancy
She thought then turned her head away.
"You know that Kyosuke will never love you or that bastard child-- I know someone that could take care of that problem for you permanently." Amelia handed her a white card with a number of an abortion clinic nearby then on her way out the door, she smirked.
" I know that he won't love me because he only has you in his heart, all he sees is you. " She looked at the card and flipped it to the side on the back.
Amelia snuck inside the study to surprise her lover, Kyosuke. In the most scandalous lingerie, showing her curves and boobs perfectly. No man could dare to reject such temptation, she proceed to sit on his desk and slightly opened her legs in front of him.
"Dear, I can't. I must read through these files tonight. Maybe, later tonight." He kissed her on the forehead and returned to pick up the folder that she knocked on the floor." Oh, have you seemed Kotori lately? It feels like I haven't seen her these days."
Amelia froze at that moment then it hit her that he cared about that woman to some extent. She bawled out her eyes and put on quite the performance. She pushed herself onto him and forced herself to cry," You idiot!"
"What's wrong, dear? Is it the pregnancy hormones?" He asked, looking down at her and it pained him to see her this way.
"Kotori is trying to tear our relationship apart! She told me that I was fat and ugly. Why did you have to sleep with her? Am I not good enough for you?" Amelia sobbed.
"Of course, you are, Amelia. I apologized that I misunderstood the situation and that what I had with Kotori was a mere fling. I love you more than anything, you are the love of my life."
"Do you really mean that, Kyosuke?" She met his gaze and then leaned in for a kiss.
He grabbed her waist and pulled her closer.
The room was filled with love-making noises the sound of a woman and a man moaning could easily be heard through the thin walls.
Kotori plugged in her headphone even with the volume up to the max, she couldn't close the noise out completely. She walked out of the villa and wondered around the Forrest, it sucks that there's no transportation or taxi drivers nearby. She sat down on the grass and unravel the letter from her brother while looking up at the sky.
"Hideaki, I don't know what to do…. Without you here with me, I'm all alone." She clenched the letter close to her chest.
Several hours passed by.
After crying in the grass underneath the large tree, Kotori fell asleep with the hand resting on her chest with the letter.
Her mind was finally at peace, a small smile developed on her face while dreaming of old memories when life was carefree and simple, as children. She and her brother, Hideaki ran across the field playing tag while their parents set up the picnic for them, with their favorite snacks.
"Kotori."
She slowly opened her eyes and scared her nearly to death. She immediately jumped up and the two stood a few inches apart.
"Aren't you a sleepy head?" He chuckled.
"I n-need to tell you s-something, Mr. Nakamaru." She spoke nervously.
"What is it about?" He asks.
That dream about her brother meant something. She mustered all of the courage to tell him the truth and just blurted it out with her eyes closed," I'm PREGNANT."
