'' So how long have you been under the teachings of Hieki? ''
Sakura asked Hakai as the lengthy endurance session was going on. There was not much else to do during the length of time described and she didn't try to bother Seiya since he was trying to jog with the rocks weighing down on him.
Hakai didn't answer immediately as he didn't think she'd speak during the session. His eyes glanced at the two of them and noticed they weren't as painfully strained as some of the other students who had taken this task on for the first time.
Seeing her have the energy to hold up a conversation was abnormal to him but he didn't know much about her before yesterday night to really make an educated guess on her nature.
'' I've been here for a few months, Hieki took me in and helped me in many ways that I don't know if I can ever repay him. The first step I've taken towards helping him was deciding to become his personal teaching assistant. Hieki's well into his years so the least I can do is be an extra pair of arms for him. ''
The black haired male told her what he needed to tell her, giving her all the information that would probably be required as to not inspire any follow-up questions but the girl still found a way to do so.
'' So what's the deal with the bandaged arm? Is there like a scar or a wound that hasn't healed or? ''
Sakura was persistent and motivated to find something to fill in the time before their teacher returned and she was naturally curious about the male before her. What she'd get in response to her question however was not what she'd expect..
'' It's not something I'd like to talk about. Hieki told me it was in my best interest to keep it under wraps as only bad things would come of it if I wasn't careful with keeping my secrets safeguarded. ''
His tone had made it hard to continue speaking and he personally was not fond of keeping up this conversation but his curiosity about why she was still able to speak and seem relatively fine despite the taxing nature of the rocks finally gave way to his question.
'' Aren't you tired of talking? Those rocks should've tired you out, same could be said about your friend but he's been jogging for the last few minutes. ''
Sakura giggled after hearing Hakai's question. She wiggled her shoulders almost as if mocking the challenge that was presented to her.
'' Nah, only thing I'm struggling with is what to do to pass the time. I'm not exactly that bothered by the drain on the rocks here so I wanted to get to know you better. Do you not like talking to me? Or do you already have a clique here and don't want to make new friends? ''
The interrogation continued and the black haired male shook his head in response to Sakura's claim of the boy's ''friends''. He didn't have any, he only spent his time helping Hieki and he'd nip this comment in the bud with a dead reply.
'' I don't have any friends. ''
The female laughed and shook her head at his claim of having no friends.
'' Not anymore, you got me! ''
She spoke confidently, smiling at the male who had turned his face away from the female as he didn't know how to respond to that. She had kept looking his way as he tried to focus his attention elsewhere.
Eventually she started jumping in place despite the rocks siphoning energy from her whereas Seiya's jogging turned into full on running around the area. They were improving as the hour went by and were eventually given a brief 10 minute break to eat their well-deserved breakfast before returning to the latter half of this particular session.
Meanwhile, back at the village far from where Hieki's training compound had been ; the Bomber looked around hoping to gather clues on where to find the boy. The Man heard people talking about a fight from the previous day, these villagers were talking about a pair of kids fighting the resident Sensei and it gave him a rough idea.
'' Hmm...''
The male had continued venturing through the village to gather more information, he couldn't let this opportunity fall through his grasp when just the day before he had the boy.
Just once more, he just needed to find the prince again and end his life.
Once it was done then it'd be smooth sailing for him and his inevitable promotion. He could see many metaphorical doors opening up for him once he had completed this task.
As he made his way from the left of the village to the eastern end of the village, the male noticed a gathering of villagers near the town square.
The Bomber moved through the crowd to see what was going on, the crowd's purpose was to hear what a messenger had to tell the group. To get away from the daily life of work, an event of this caliber helped take their minds off the grind.
'' A week from now, an Exhibition Tournament will proceed between this villages finest and the surrounding communities. The details on where the tournament will be held will be disclosed on the poster being handed out now. ''
The Bomber started thinking about whether or not the one he hunted would appear during it but he didn't want to take a chance and ignore this announcement on the possibility that he does indeed wind up going.
He needed to scout the area in advance. Seven days, he could handle doing that if it allowed him to prepare to the best of his ability. He can already see his fellow brethren bowing down to him, acknowledging him as their superior.
It was only a matter of time.
