Joan placed both of her hands on the desk.
"Were you completely unaware of the situation in the mine?"
His territory was the closest to it.
"The red knight named Latham had proved his credentials as a graduate from the academy of Ewiah, which rid him of most of my suspicions."
"I am not convinced. Weren't you tipped off by the excessive number of Red Knights that were working under him?"
Fifteen red knights were working in a single mine. Even if all of them weren't red knights, he should have questioned this if he didn't know that they were imposters.
"They claimed that the Khril family was worried about the constant attacks from the bandit groups. Once again, I didn't question it because their leader was extremely persuasive."
