Alex stood with Alice in Doctor Silas's office, Clarence's head down on the bed beside the numerous tubes, machines, and abundance of cords trailed down from the oxygen mask and heart being monitored.
"Is he doing better today?" Alice asked.
He doesn't answer right away, his head looking up at the two in front of him. His eyes are glassy as they wait for more answers for today, they could tell he hasn't moved the whole of the night as he sat laid there like a vegetable.
"If we can manipulate the cells of his organs he will have a fighting chance," Clarence mumbled.
His hand moved up, slapping down lightly by Christian's fingers. He was exhausted more than usual, he snored nearly instantly afterwards when Silas came in.
"He clearly didn't get the memo when I told him to sleep." Silas laughed.
"How are you promoting the growth of the tissue?" Alex questioned.
"A concoction I have in this needle," Silas said.
