I get up early to pack when I realize I had nothing to pack in the first place, only carrying the clothing on my back. I will leave this place temporarily to go back to see Alice…
Colton bumps into me strolling down the corridors to visit Chara's room, cropping up in existence standing in the doorway.
"Colton, have you been here at all since I went to sleep?" I ask.
"I have…she hasn't woken at all Christian."
"I see…"
"Can't you feel it? She has been cursed…" Colton says.
"How do you break a curse Colton?" I questioned.
"This isn't normal…Saniya already knows."
"Is that why she is sending me away?" I inquire.
"It's best this way…"
"Yes Christian, this is for your own sake." The voice chimes.
"Oh, Saniya…" I answer.
"Colton is right, she is cursed, the "other Alice" is waiting to use her," Saniya explains.
"Other Alice?" I am confused.
"Your Alice is putting everyone in danger Christian." Saniya discloses.
"I-I had a dream…" I told her.
"Dominique already told me you were acting funny Christian, I know you don't want to leave us, but only for a little bit, okay?" Saniya makes it clear.
"Right…what's the plan?" I ask.
Katherine comes out holding her riding crop to her side, a wide grin sits on her face. While not shocked, but very curious why she is so happy.
"We learned she can turn you pseudo till you can be finished off!" Saniya proclaims.
"Pseudo? What? No, we're not doing that!" I dispute.
"Everett needs to know this isn't just some bluff!" Saniya insists.
"You gotta do it, Runt." Dominique states.
Grabbing me from behind he clutches me tightly wrapping his hands around me restraining my hands and arms, I struggle to get away from his overwhelming strength.
Katherine kneels down gingerly, loosening my collar, no amount of tugging or could I do to escape his grip. She bites down hard, thrusting her fangs into my neck immobilizing my movement.
I am weakened in Dominique's grasp, slumping. I could no longer fight the blood loss. My crimson could be felt dribbling down my shirt.
"You are going too fast, Katherine!" Dominique yells.
"A little more Darling." She says.
Once again much like the first time she brings my jaw up to her face, my head keeps tilting back from losing so much vital fluid.
"This is going to be bad if we lose him before he gets pseudo fangs…" Saniya argues.
Colton slinks in the usual fashion shoving Dominique away, taking a large fluffy pillow from the couch he sets me down gently I grunt out twinging. Katherine squeezes her blood into my mouth.
Everything aches, I cry out in pain as my bones throbbed, my body withers in agony to the slightest touch. Katherine holds me down as I wail.
"You will be okay Darling!" She shouts.
"The real thing is ten times worse, please bear with it!" Colton comments.
I know I passed out next because I notice the next second I am in the back of the small black car being held up by Dominique. They cared enough to wrap me in a blanket, a damp cold towel sat on my forehead.
"He is coming around Saniya," Dominique says.
"Are you okay Christian?" Katherine asks.
Not able to make proper eye contact I wobbled side-to-side nauseous and dizzy, I felt constant chills. That's when I felt long fangs protruding the side of my lips sliding my tongue up and down the elongated canines.
The back of my neck and ears burned, I could barely think straight. I was much too tired for that.
Pulling off the damp towel and blanket scrambling to open the car door gripping the door latch, Dominique motions to Saniya to stop the car. I topple out falling on my side throwing up on the sidewalk.
Dominique towers over me, patting my back looking away. Saniya waves at us from the driver's side. Getting up from the ground Dominique takes my hand guiding me back to the vehicle.
He tosses the blanket on top of me, I lay my head against the window glass staring out.
"Why are you being so nice to me?" I ask.
"You are sick and need help, why do I need an excuse to help you?" Dominique responds.
"Thanks…"
"Were almost there Christian, take it easy," Saniya explains.
Falling asleep till we get to the park I am shaken awake to find Everett, Alex, and Alice all outside waiting for us to pull in. Dominique pushes me with my hands forced behind my back.
He allows me to keep the blanket, Dominique slams me to the ground stepping on my head with his large steel-toed boot smashing my face into the mud.
"Dominique…" Alice growls.
"Alice, step aside. Saniya, we meet again." Everett comments.
"I got bored with your stupid 'Igor'!" Saniya shouts.
Snatching me up from the muck, Dominique sticks his fingers in my mouth flashing my new fangs jutting out to the side. Alice audibly gasps, turning to Alex worried.
"Is there a reason you did this?' He questions.
"He is destined, why not?" Colton spoke up.
Everett shook out of fright at the sight of my double. It was as though he had seen a ghost, confidently standing there, Alex launched at Dominique halting when his long fingernails protruded poking into my neck threatening to cut into me.
"Stand down Alex!" Everett shouts, "You are Christians's shadow?"
"My name is Colton, please only call me that!" He says.
"Colton is such a pain in the ass, please take him too," Saniya explains.
"Don't tell me what to do!" Colton argues.
"Come, Dominique, we have much to plan." Saniya announces, "Bye Alice."
I am left where I was, Dominique releases me quietly walking back to the car. Catching a small wave from him caught me off guard.
"Don't die, Runt!" Dominique says.
Alex catches me before I fully collapse, Alice jogs over to help me up. I was having a hard time keeping my eyes open. I was so exhausted from everything going on, I wanted to feel safe in my master's arms…
"I am so sorry Christian." Everett said, "You are home now."
"We got you now Christian!" Alice shouts.
"I will take him, Alice!" Everett chides her.
"Chara…" I mumble in delirium.
Being carried on Everett's back, there was nothing I could make out, lines blurred together as I laid my head on his shoulder. Everett sat me in the backseat with him. I could hear the trunk pop open.
"Pass me the jacket, Alice!" Alex shouts.
"Everett, please cover Christian with this okay?" Alex says.
I try to draw my eyes open, but they throw jackets, blankets, and pillows at me nudging me to rest. It is hard to get comfortable in the car dragging my long legs up hitting the driver's seat.
Alice leans over the seat to peek over at me, the car shakes as Alex gets in.
"I am calling Mai to get ready, Everett…I don't trust Saniya." Alice states.
"What is the procedure for pseudo?" Alex asks.
"We will take him to Mai, he will most likely live in the room the first couple of days. If he is okay he has some choices to make before the pseudo teeth recede." Everett explains.
"So Christian needs to decide, doesn't he?" Alice questions, "Hey Mai!"
Alice carries on a conversation with Mai silently, Everett places his hand on my head gently moving me slightly closer to his side. We constantly hit bumps on the road or potholes.
The roads were so bad in some parts when we hit a hole I would cry out.
"Alex, please try to go slow, we're in no rush." Everett would scold him.
I would open my eyes staring out at the other window from time to time groggily on our long journey back through the veil taking in sights like the trees passing us by or animals even fae shifting into the wood and vanishing.
Everett would do everything he could to make sure I was comfortable along the way.
"Christian are you okay?" Everett asks.
Breathing in and out I attempt to sit back when nausea hits me, I hold my face bending down in Everett's lap.
"Wait! Christian! Alex, you need to stop the car!" Everett yells.
An audible burp could be heard, I could feel the acidic juices rise from my stomach up to my throat. Instead of giving Everett an answer, I threw up the contents from my gut.
Alex was too late to pull over, my upset stomach which was caused by my sickness now dressed his navy blue trench coat and grey vest. I felt like passing out at that very moment. Alice gets out of the car as it comes to a rolling halt.
"Christian, pull it together!" Alice shouts at me.
No longer keeping balance I could feel my gums bleeding, Everett was sitting next to me tapping my face trying to keep me conscious. My skin was on fire despite the cool air leaking in from the air conditioning.
"Alice, we need the first aid kit!" Everett howls.
The last thing I hear is the hatch in the back opening fading into the distance if this is what pseudo fangs are like. Will I be dying when I actually turn?
