We found ourselves in the camp with the rest of the adventurers, it seems the gold rank adventurer has recovered nicely and is announcing something.
"Today is the day we deal a decisive strike to the abyss, everyone, ready yourselves!" As he said that, many of the adventurers most of them being women, became uncertain or scared. They seem to have been scared of the abyss.
Most of the male adventurers had hopeful yet uncertain expressions. Overall the entire camp became somewhat loud as they talk to each other. The gold rank adventurer ordered the healers that were situated in the camp to join the fight.
Some of them wanted to disagree but they knew that their service won't be needed in the camp.
The plan is simple, so simple in fact that it only consists of three words: Kill them all.
Though he didn't really say that, it's pretty much the summary of it. After saying his final words, a soldier with more formal clothes greeted the gold-ranked adventurer.
"General Jin."
"Ah, hello commander, you don't have to call me general you know? I'm just a mere adventurer now." The gold-ranked adventurer who was named jin said while scratching his head. Immediately attention gathers on Jin and he just scratches his head even more but after a moment, he urges the commander to leave so that they can have a private conversation.
Some talked to their companions about him but most of us headed to their tent to prepare our stuff. I had nothing prepared other than checking my potion.
I left my jacket at a clothing shop to fix its holes and other damages apparently, it will cost me a pretty penny because apparently the way my clothes were made was foreign and would take quite a long time, not to mention the material it's made off.
Though I didn't really get it considering that my jacket was more of the cheap kind, I didn't argue about it.
Astoria counted 129 arrows and polished her armor, Alice tighten one of her packs in her waist which was overflowing with materials to summon beings. The other pack was empty because of the fight with the abyss and Freya just sharpen her staff's sharp and pointy bottom and also checked her potions.
"Alright team, this is the last day, let's protect each other alright?" Astoria said as she put a fist in front of her. Alice and Freya nod before meeting her fist with their own.
They looked at me. I hesitantly met their fist with my own.
"Hm." As said nodding.
"Jeez, put more power into it," Astoria said then she bumps my fist with a bit of force.
Our conversation ends there as we made our way to the battlefield.

In total there were about five thousand people on the battlefield. They consist of 11% being artificials, 15% being adventurers and the last 74% being soldiers of Kliyer.
I look ahead of us and saw the abyss which was no longer just a lake of black substance. Instead, their many creatures have formed into various creatures and the rest were in Hinu.
Seeing this, I surmised that the abyss was only able to create creatures if it's been fully consumed or infected. I wasn't sure about this so I didn't voice it.
The sky above the abyss had flying creatures of many sizes and the ground had animals such as boars, wolves, snakes, and other common monsters like ogres and goblins.
'Seems this is the reason for their calling in everyone.' I thought to myself
Astoria joins the frontline with the men with big shields or swords. I breathe out and also joined the frontline.
I didn't want to join in, I promise that I will protect them even if I'm not as effective in the front. In truth, I'm just doing this for my own selfishness, I just don't want them to look at me with those gazes.
'That really wouldn't matter if they're dead are they?' I try to speak sense to myself but ignore it. I looked at the approaching abyss and immediately my senses screamed at me about my impending doom.
I feel my heart beat faster not from the pleasure known as thrill but instead from fear.
I did not show such fear on my face nor anywhere in my body.
As they approach, I tuned out my death perception and focus, I then pull my katana from its sheath and held it with only my right hand.
"Archers kill the flying creatures, us melee users will deal with the creatures on the and for mages and healers, please support us!"
Jin the gold-ranked adventurer said as he unsheathe his finely made long sword.
It had a long and worn handle, its guard was in a V shape and the blade was double-edged and had a straight edge.
"Ready yourselves!!" The commander said after Jin spoke.
We all focused on ourselves and as they approached, everyone except for me screamed their battle cry as we charged to meet them.

The start of the battle was a brutal one, the man in front of me and most of the people in front was showered by the abyss from the abyss monsters.
They all scream as it starts to melt their faces, the lucky ones consumed the brain first, killing them instantly. Everyone who wasn't infected became disturbed which caused more deaths.
It was complete pandemonium with everyone other than me immediately losing some of their will to fight. Suddenly, a deer-like creature charges into a man who had his left legs consumed, Jin, the gold-ranked adventurer dashes past me and did an upward diagonal slash from his left.
The deer was cut in half and it quickly disintegrates but the remaining abyss quickly separates itself and it quickly starts to form into a smaller animal.
After Jin slashes the deer, he quickly dragged the man with a missing leg and then speaks loudly.
"Do not lose your spirits! This battle will dictate the survival of Kliyer, kill them all!!" Jin said as he points his sword at the
abyss. During that, the abyss consumed the dead bodies, and using it, they started to form into birds, animals, and monsters.
I was the only one who saw this as everyone was looking at Jin, seemingly captured by his words, they quickly looked at the abyss and they charged at them with a stronger will.
The battle was brutal on both sides, even if we were killing them faster, the one that the abyss killed was quickly turned into the abyss and formed into various monsters. There is also the frequent attack from the flying creatures when they pass the arrows barrage fired by the soldiers and adventurers.
As I fight, I also kept an eye on my party members. Thankfully there were close to each other.
Astoria was efficient with a bow and quickly dispatch the flying creatures, Alice was dealing with creatures both on the ground by dealing with the abyss creatures with her black hounds and the sky and as if the steel toe eagles body was her own, she dodges the arrow barrage while also dealing with the flying creatures and Freya was hitting and stabbing the abyss away while also supplying Alice with mana so she stayed close to her.
I slightly felt to myself knowing that I was clearly the weakest but I didn't have time for that as a 4-foot tall ogre heads my way then finally I remembered that I was on the frontline so I quickly focused on the ogre.
The ogre punches me but I quickly dashed back and tried to slash it as a counter-attack but a boar-like creature with one horn similar to the one I fought when first arrive here, appeared on my side.
'Fuck, bad timing!' I said to myself as I try to dash back once again to dodge the charging boar but suddenly.
"I got you!" Jin, the ranked adventurer said as he meet the boar with his finely made longsword.
I didn't react to his words and instead prepare a slash before the ogre hit us.
I hold my katana with my right hand and slash the ogre who was preparing a slam attack.
The ogre freezes as it begins to disintegrate but I don't stop, instead, I slash at the ogre lightly giving the abyss pretty much nowhere to so it dies easily.
"Thanks," Jin said with a slight smile, and in response, I only nod and then I look at my party members.
They were doing fine since most of the men and women who wield melee weapons took most of the damage. I know it was heartless to think that but for some reason, I really couldn't care less.
I then look around them and saw the last few pertmuls charging in their directions, since no one was shielding them, I quickly run in between them while Jin dealt with the other ones near them as well.
The 3 abyss pertmuls stop for a brief moment to hiss with their hoarse voice before they slither to me. As I deal with the pertmuls with Astoria's support, the ground starts to shake.
When I looked around, there were practically no abyss creatures left, and as I thought that.
"""AHHHHHHHHHHHH!""" I suddenly hear many screams of pain but I didn't have enough time to look for their sources as my death perception alerted me from below.
I barely got away as a tall cone-shaped spike made of the abyss shoots out of the ground and then quickly consumes the people that got hit by it.
It then goes back down to the ground the suddenly Hinu appeared away from us.
"YOu BasTARdS, iF yOu gEt iN thE WAy thEn I WILl KIlL yoU aLL!!!!" He said as a giant robot made from the abyss and various machinery.
It was at least 7 feet tall and had various black and goopy spikes and tentacles wriggling around. the right arm had a mechanical fist while the right was a cannon probably to either shoot or spray the abyss to us.
The whole body was mostly black with rusty metals here and there appearing and it did not have much armor so it was most likely very fast. Behind it also had a booster-like thing which also can be found on its shin.
Hinu with his angry and hoarse voice repeatedly screams.
"FigHt, FiGHt, FiGht!!!!" We didn't know whether it was for us or the robot but suddenly, it starts to move and assault us.
He himself also dashed to us and fought us while using the abyss as weapons.
"FIGGGGHHHHTTTT!!!!!!!" It screams after the robot and he killed and consumed someone.
And all of us returned our focus as they start to target someone next.
