"You know you don't have to walk me out right?" Alex asked as he reached the exit.
"It's fine... it's not like I'm going anywhere," the man said.
Alex left the tavern and made his way outside the city to the woods. Once he was far enough from the city he could hear the sound of trolls nearby. The hopped onto a tree and made his way there. It wasn't long before he could see a group of trolls walking through the forest. He wanted to do some experiments and he needed some living subjects to test them out. He readied his bow and arrows. He aimed a arrow at one of the trolls and before he launched the arrow he activated the spell burning hands. The bow and arrow glowed red from the heat. He released the arrow aiming for the trolls neck. The arrow pierce the trolls neck and hit the ground. The creature fall on the ground with no intention of getting up. The rest of the trolls were frantic. They were searching for the person that killed one of their own.
"I see so it worked," Alex muttered.
He was seeing if it was possible to infuse spells with his arrows. So far it seemed to be working. He made sure not to move although trolls weren't that powerful. They had a tricky regentive ability. He did not want to engage in a close combat with them. He draw another arrow and tried to infuse it with the spell electronic jolt and released it. The arrow struk another troll but instead of killing it. The arrow seemed to simply annoy it. The troll could tell where the arrow came from, it roared and came running in the direction of Alex with the rest of the trolls behind it.
"This is bad, if I get surrounded by them it will be a problem. I can't attack them normally. Normal unencanted weapons won't do anything. And I can only use burning hands two more times," he thought as he tried to think of someway out of this situation. Although he could escape he didn't want to if this ever happened in the future he didn't know what he would do. When the trolls drew closer he had an idea.
"That might work," he muttered as watched the trolls getting closer.
Just as he was about to act the area where the trolls were suddenly exploded. Alex was almost blow away by force of the explosion. He could feel the hot wind blowing across his face. He closed his eyes on instinct, as to not let his eyes get damaged. He looked at the centre of the to see what caused it but all he saw was a scorch mark and some pieces of troll flesh. He saw someone walk out of the forest at this moment. He was a young man with blonde short hair and a blue mage robe. He looked around with a satisfied look on his face not that long after a group of six emerged for the forest. They were wearing armor.
