Vanessa and Jenny had never been into Nathan's and Em's home before. Mostly they just say hi whenever they passed by the place. So entering the house was like an excursion.
It was a modest home, it had a patio outside., the insides were nicely decorated, with flower-patterned wallpapers pasted on the walls. The furniture looked old school but. in a nice and comfortable way. The kitchen was no different from Margaret's, only it was filled with utensils ten times the amount of Margaret's.
"what's that smell., Vanessa thought as she stepped into the house... " it smelt so familiar... she'd know that smell even in her dreams. It was the smell of Pasta, and not just any kind, it was the smell of 'LA PASTA EMILIANA'. There was no way in the world she would forget that sweet sweet smell of garlic blended with onion, with a little ginger to it, and a hint of dried chili and something more that she just couldn't ever figure out.
