"I guess this is where we parted ways." Shizune didn't want to bother them anymore since they would be surely very busy with work.
Both Kurono and Akio were going to nod toward her words, but before that, a voice was heard in the place.
"I'm glad you're back safe and sound, Kurosawa-san, but don't you think you should come a little earlier? As a boss you must set a good example for your employees." That tone of voice matched perfectly with the way that person was berating Kurono, plus it was enough for everyone to turn their attention to that figure.
"Good morning to you too, Yuki-san. I didn't think I'd find you here… Again…" Kurono had said that last part in a low voice while giving a tired sigh.
The person named Yuki was a rather young girl as she appeared to be the same age as Akio. She was dressed in what was surely her work uniform. This was a dark striped skirt that reached past her knees, a white shirt on top being covered by a coat that matched her skirt perfectly, and shoes that matched the skirt that made her look quite formal.
A pair of glasses adorned her delicate face while her dark hair was neatly pulled back, you could tell she was wearing a light touch of makeup to make her stand out even more, although she didn't really need it since anyone could tell that she was a beauty, but in that at the moment, a somewhat cold look was being directed at Kurono from her.
"Yes, good morning to you too. I hope you are ready to finish the work you left pending, in addition to the one that has accumulated these days, there are many things that you must sign and review." Yuki adjusted her glasses touching the bridge of these, no it was that she needed it, but it was already common for her to do that.
"Fine, but that can wait until I get to the office." All of Kurono's energy left his body once he heard everything Yuki said, causing him to already feel tired even though the day was barely starting.
Yuki was about to say something else due to her boss's attitude, she couldn't remember the times they had gone through this despite the short time she had been working for him, but she had given herself such a task and she was not going to be the exception today... But his concentration had been interrupted by what lay beyond Kurono.
"Isn't it a little late for you too, Akio-san?" Akio's figure had entered her line of sight, she could see that he was trying to disappear into the environment, which it failed at all.
What followed was a scene similar to the one that happened with Kurono, this time being Akio who was being reprimanded by Yuki... Although that situation would take a big turn once Rena got into the conversation.
"Hey, who do you think you are to talk like that?" Rena had listened too much; she was watching how her husband was being scolded by another woman with no chance to defend himself and that irritated her a lot.
"Apparently, I am someone with a bit more manners than you… By the way, may I know who you are?" The cold tone in Yuki's voice hadn't disappeared in all that time and accompanied by her serious look, she seemed to be challenging Rena a bit.
On her side, Rena became annoyed again. She already understood that this girl was possibly Akio's co-worker, but she was really annoyed by her attitude.
"Record it well, my name is Tanaka Rena." Rena had raised her voice while saying her name, she had just put Yuki on her list of people she would never want to associate with, so she had also taken a challenging attitude toward her.
"Tanaka? Are you Akio-san's family?" Yuki was practically ignoring Rena's attitude but was still paying attention to her words as they aroused a bit of curiosity in her.
"That's right, I'm his wife." Rena crossed her arms under her breast and narrowed her gaze a little.
This whole situation did not go unnoticed by the rest of the group, but Akio and Kurono were not going to interfere, and Shizune was just shaking her head because of her daughter's attitude since Kurono had told her that everything was fine.
"I see. Congratulations on your pregnancy." Everything had become a little clearer for Yuki, and seeing Rena's belly, she guessed that she was pregnant. She remembered hearing something like that from Akio, but she hadn't had a chance to congratulate him.
"Thank you, Yuki-san." Akio thanked her as a nervous smile appeared on her face. She knew Yuki well, so he understood that her words were honest.
"I appreciate it too, but that doesn't take away my annoyance." The seriousness from before had been reduced a bit due to the small scene that was formed at that moment, but it wasn't over yet.
"May I ask why you're upset, Rena-san?" Yuki turned her attention back to Rena, she had been the one who started verbally attacking her, but she didn't understand the real reason for that.
"I'm annoyed that you scold Akio even without knowing the reason behind him coming at this time, besides, I'm sure you're aware that Kurono-san was the one who brought us here, and since he's his boss, there shouldn't be any problem." Rena expressed all that to show her disagreement with Yuki's attitude.
Yuki was somewhat silent at that moment because even though Rena was right and she didn't do anything wrong, her attention was taken by what Rena had said. She could understand Kurono bringing Akio with him, and also the fact that Rena came with them since she is Akio's wife... But she still didn't understand who the woman was next to Kurono... And that made her a little alert.
