While she was still peering out the window, she asked Rouge, who was riding a horse and was positioned near the window carriage. "S,sire! Is that the real palace? Is it a real castle? " She queried, amused and a little excited, having forgotten what Rouge had threatened earlier due to excitement.
He stared at her, and Elyse could read his eyes, which said, 'Where did you come from?!' but he eventually responded, "What do you think? Tch." Even though Rouge's tone was rough, Elyse didn't mind. She isn't completely gullible, but she just needs some assurance. Everyone would react like Elyse if she saw a real palace for the first time in her life and it was this grand. The palace existed... It was breathtaking! "Oh, thank you so much," Elyse said, her gaze fixed on the opulent palace. "That's really cool," she mused. After seeing a real palace up close, her mind was filled with excitement and amusement. Back in her original world, even though some countries were still ruled by royal families, she never got a chance to visit the castle and had to rely on television to see it. Her jaw literally dropped right now after seeing the palace in a medieval period!
Elyse began to ponder. [Is this one of the world's countries? But I'm pretty sure it isn't. They were dressed in a way that would not have been suitable on Earth. But the most pressing question is, "Where am I?" And how did I get here? Aside from getting drunk and partying earlier, I didn't do anything. Is it true I died? Is it true that I drowned in the sea? It's impossible, you fool! I'm still wearing a two-piece bikini! Is it true that I went to heaven in my bikini? Or maybe I fell in hell.] Elyse began to bite her nails in frustration because she was tired of thinking.
Elyse is also interested in how her mother will react. Will she become enraged and call her phone endlessly? She should have seen it. It was ridiculous even for her, but after what her mother had done to her, it should be totally alright. She wants to see her mother going crazy. But that's something we'll think about later.
"Is this your first trip to the capital, and are you seeing the Royal Palace? Do you live in the woods and thus lack knowledge of common things? " A voice jolted Elyse awake. The quiet man who was ostensibly riding with her in the carriage started speaking up, and Elyse heard a warm voice for the first time today. The man has a pleasant voice.
"...Are you addressing me?" Elyse pointed to herself.
"Yes, lady," he said with a big smile that made his eyes sparkle.
[How adorable...] Elyse paused before responding, eventually saying, "You could say that." "Hehe," she said, a small smile was plastered on her face. This is her first 'normal' conversation with another person. Oh, how she want to cry right now because of her first 'achievement'. Her earlier conversation with Rouge and the prince was very unusual plus with threats. It's not a pleasant memory even to think about. Without a doubt, It wasn't your typical conversation. After she responded, the carriage was filled with awkward silence once more.
[Alright... For the time being, I should just keep an eye on everything.]
The sight of the people the carraige passed by stunned her until the carriage came to a halt. They came to a halt in one place. It appears to be a dining building. But not the expensive or modern one, but the run-down one. Elyse has a lot of ideas about why they've stopped at this particular location. She even considered the possibility that this was the location where these people would abandon or sell her. The man with whom Elyse was riding in the carriage exited. He smiled and gave Elyse one last look before approaching the prince.
They talked for a long time, and it appears to be a dire issue. Elyse was just watching them through the window when the rich-looking man bowed to the prince. She is aware that the conversation has come to an end. Instead of getting back on the carriage, the man who had just been with Elyse in the carriage went inside the run-down pub. And everyone was ready to go again, "Is that it? I assumed you were going to try to sell me something here? " Elyse blurted out without thinking.
"What do you presume we're for?" Rouge responded coldly to Elyse's sudden silly question. Her lips were pressed together, and simply gave Rouge a plastic smile. [If you just explained a little bit more or gave me a tiny hint, I wouldn't be worried that I'd be sold! ] She takes a deep breath in and a deep breath out, as if Rouge is testing her not-so-long patience. [Calm down, you could be killed right now.] Because all of the knights, including Rouge, carry swords around their waists, executing her on the spot isn't out of the question. When Elyse suddenly remembered something, she made a snapping motion with her fingers. "Oh no!" I completely forgot to ask about his name!"
The carriage began to move, and the pub where they had stopped began to fade from her view. Elyse just siy there staring at the ground. Waiting to see how her life would turn out. Until they finally came to a screeching halt. She cocked her head and peered out the window. She didn't even notice when the carriage came to a halt again, this time in front of the opulent palace. Her predictions have proven to be accurate. She had expected to come inside the palace one day because of the prince, but she had not expected it to be today!
Elyse's jaw dropped at the sight. The palace sparkles, and so do her eyes. Genuine gold gleams everywhere! Rouge jolted her awake with a knock on the carriage door, "Get off right now." When Elyse got off the train, she noticed the lined-up knights, who were dressed in the same outfit as Rouge and the other knights. "Commander!" They salute each other. Elyse was surprised. Rouge holds a higher position in the palace than Elyse believes. Rouge immediately ordered, "Throw her in the dungeon."
[What? dungeon? Dungeon...?!]
Rouge issued the command, and three knights moved. Elyse didn't have time to think when they started dragging her.
"Please let me go! What on earth do you think you're doing?! " she screamed, screaming at the top of her lungs. The knights, on the other hand, simply ignored her. "Dungeon?" She resisted. "But wait a minute! Allow me to walk on my own!" She shrieked at the knights, but got no response, so she turned her gaze to Rouge.
She met Rouge's eyes who obviously doesn't have any care about the knights dragging her around. Elyse can only see a bastard in front of her. "What reason do you have for interrupting my order, huh? Stop resisting. You should have known that this is not a place to play where you can just complain on everything."
That is when Elyse realizes how helpless she is in this world.
