"The stories of the Marrakech are so old, they have begun to devolve into myth but they are fascinating nonetheless.

The Agadir system has seven planets and Agadir itself is the fourth. The planet is mostly wet and swampy. The people are rumoured to be dark-skinned and have light hair. It has also been said that they are mystics that deal in dark gods and magic. Some people say that the Marrakech people possess superpowers to hide their presence and move at incredible speeds. I consider people who think this to be fools. There is no such thing as magic but the story persisted which ultimately led to the legend of the Dark Elves of Agadir.

The Dark Elves or the Marrakech were said to organize themselves into clans led by a woman called a matriarch. The entire tribe of Marrakech are led by a council of matriarchs who decide everything from warfare to agriculture. They had strange traditions like harvesting the water from the bodies of their dead but I suspect this is because of the salty nature of a majority of their water bodies.

In an era before faster than light travel, the Marrakech people were a blight on intergalactic travel. They formed raiding parties of thousands of fast, small ships that could overwhelm merchant vessels and military destroyers alike. Survivors of these raids recalled the use of highly advanced stealth technology. No one would ever know the raiders were coming until it was too late to stop them. This hints at either advanced technological capabilities or a new ship making metal or technique yet to be discovered.

It is unclear how the problem was dealt with, but rumours and innuendo suggest that a clandestine meeting was held by the galactic superpowers who sent heavily armed ships to wreak havoc on the home planet of the Marrakech. No one has heard from them for a hundred years. This was even before the first Akkadian inquest into UN space and the subsequent three wars that followed…"
