Thankfully, in all the time since Charlie was born Jacob and Vivian hadn't shared each other's bed. Strangely enough, they seemed to even avoid touching each other casually, although the tension between them was growing, especially on Jacob's part. There were many times that I noticed him staring at me with a burning hunger in his eyes and thought that he would order me to serve him, but then he would clench his jaw, tuck his hands into his pockets, and turn away. I noticed the same thing happening when he looked at Vivian, too.
