"So what? That is your goal, become God?" Ryu ask
"Become God? No, No, No, I would not become a God. All I want is to prove that humanity has the potential to evolve and surpass God; whether I become God or not, that does not matter to me.
But now when you ask me like that... Becoming God might not be a bad idea after all." Mary said while working with her machine that somehow transfers blood into the monster body.
Ryu raises his eyebrow at that last statement, now even more curious than before. He would already leave the room because he has already done his work, but what Mary is doing is making Ryu very curious.
After hearing that magic is real, Ryu doesn't feel surprised anymore considering what he sees today, so that he will roll with it.
Now, Ryu is acting more like a cat that seems very curious about what Mary is currently doing and considering Mary is not telling him to leave the room and seems fine with answering Ryu's questions. He would stay and keep asking all the questions he could think of.
"So what will you then? If you become God, that is."
"What will I do? I could ask you the same question, brat. What will you do if you become God?" Mary answers back with a question of her own directing back at Ryu. "If you become all-powerful and all-knowing... What will you do?"
Seemingly surprised, but the question, Ryu stay silent and start thinking about the answer to the question.
~Ryu POV~
'What would I do if I become God?' I thought to myself, 'Now, isn't that an interesting question?'
What would I do? Since I was abandoned, I had only been thinking about surviving for another day and gaining more power so that I could survive, but if I have all of the power in the world, what then?
What would I do after that? What would I do if I had become all-powerful?
There will be no more of me trying to survive for another day because I already have all the power, so what would I do?
Find out more about this universe?
But what is the point in that? When I'm already all-knowing? What then?
With all of those power, indeed, everything will become like a breeze for me, no point in trying to do anything, no matter of trying to find anything, no end of me trying to change when I become a God.
But with all of those power, I need to do something with it. Having all of those power in my hands and not using them would be something I will never do.
But then, all of this brings back to the original question, what will I do if I become God?
Killed all living things like what that skeleton lady wanted to do? No, that still sounds very stupid?
Create world... no, universe peace? No, that sounds boring, and peace can never last forever.
How about creating... Heaven? Not just Heaven in a usual sense that I found in religion but a Heaven where everything will be free from this world?
With all of my power, I can create a universe where all things become free, not just in physical senses. I can make everything free from old age, hunger, and diseases.
Free from power, status, standing, appearance, location and even time itself. It is a universe where everything is equal, a universe where there will be discrimination against each other because they are different.
The one true Heaven, where everyone is equal and has the power they ever wanted, making them free from everything, is this universe.
That sound like Heaven to me, but is that is all I wanted? Helping other people? I never was a big fan of helping other people.
If they have the power, they should help themselves, and if they can't do so, instead of asking for help, they should thrive for more power to help themselves.
Just because I became God, I would never help other people in my own violation. So if I have all of those power, what will I indeed do?
"I don't know." I answer, "I don't know what would I do when I know everything and have all of the power in the world. A genuinely perfect being like that cannot exist and should not exist.
After all, once you know everything, there will be good nor evil, and with all of those power in the hands who have no sense of what they genuinely want to do, what will they do?"
Before taking a pause, I answer before finally giving her what I would truly do when I become God.
"But if I did become God, then I will simply make sure to... let say, I will simply stir the pot now and again to make sure the pudding didn't get burned." I finally answer
With that said, Maru stops what she is currently doing before looking back at me, ignoring whatever she is doing right now.
Her facial feature seems to be that of a surprised one, probably from the answer that I just gave out before asking me back another question.
"What do you mean by that?" Mary asked, her voice seeming to fill with full-on curiosity.
What do I mean by my answer? Well...
"Do you know that the sky is blue?" I answer back with a question; Mary doesn't seem to faze by the question and only wait for me to go on.
"Of course, you know that the sky is blue; I know that the sky is blue, and everyone knows that the sky is blue. It is quite a mundane thing, and there is nothing special about our blue sky, nothing special at all.
Yet, when storms and black clouds cover the entire sky, everyone wishes to see that mundane blue sky again? Why is that? Why do we want to see that ordinary sky again when we already know that the sky is blue?
It's because we don't want to see the storms, that why we want to see the blue sky.
And did you know that when the violent storm is over, the mundane blue sky will become something more beautiful than ever?
That is what I will do when I'm a God.
When the sky becomes too mundane and boring, I will become the storm to make sure that the sky will become more beautiful.
I will make sure that the delicious pudding in the pot will not stay the same for far too long; I will stir it to ensure that it will not get burned, whether the pudding will like it or not."
