Chapter 6 - Feelings

Roxanne was dragged into a dark room, when she felt she could move her hand, she used all her strength to push the man away from her and ran near the door to open the lights. stopping for a second before turning around to catch her breath.

Her heart was beating faster because she was scared, but now seeing the man's face made her heartbeat even faster and gave her the feeling it would come out of her mouth any second. Sadness was written all over her face as Prince Gabriel started to walk closer to her.

"I'm sorry for my rudeness, your royal highness," saying that made Prince Gabriel stop, looking at Roxanne who wasn't making eye contact, wearing clothes for a servant.

In his mind, she never changed. Whether being a nobleman's daughter or a maid, she never changed. Her feelings for him, he knows it more than anybody else that he is still the one. And he hopes so. Because what he felt since the first day they met, never changed. That butterflies in his stomach never faded away until now when he sees the only woman he promised he would marry someday.

He slowly tried to touch her face but he restrained himself from doing so. His eyes soften as he looked at Roxanne.

"Would you call me by my name again?" he asked with a calm and mesmerizing voice.

She knew that when he started saying things like this, she would lose control of herself. However, she wanted to. To hold him once again and bring back the feeling that she never would want to let go of him again. She wants to snuggle in his chest and feel the warmth of his embrace that always gives her shivers down her spine. Those feelings never change. She missed it so badly. And yet, she chose not to.

"your royal highness," she repeated, hearing those words made Prince Gabriel's heartache, "Please... we both know our situation is futile," she said with a pleasant tone,

She tried to look at him once again but she was stunned to see his eyes filled with hurt and sadness. She bowed her head a bit again as a sign that she will be leaving, as her hands were about to reach the doorknob Prince Gabriel grabbed her wrist and pulled her into a hug.

She tried to break the hug but he was too strong. She kept on struggling but it was so tight, that it seems like he was never gonna let go. "G-Gabriel-- I can't breathe..." she blurted out not realizing what she's done. "I-I'm sorry--"

Prince Gabriel slowly tighten his hug, but now it was gentle. He caressed the back of her hair and whispered softly in her ears "You finally called me," Roxanne felt her cheeks blushing as she can feel his warm breath slowly tingling in her neck. He breaks the hug but still keeps his hands on her waist to keep her close,

He brushed his hands on her cheek, remembering every detail of her as he tucked her hair and cupped her face, "You can go now," he said gently, Roxanne's tears started to form as she heard those pleading words, as she heard the opposite meaning of what he was telling her.

"I'll be going now, your royal highness,"

She quickly walked out of the room and went to the maiden's rooms. There, the tears she was trying to hold back were shed. She sobbed and she knew no one would hear her. She let it all out, the pain in her heart. When she was pushing him away, she was hurting, too. And for her, it is the most unbearable thing she ever did. To see the man she loved so dear get hurt because of her.

After a while, she decided to look for Lady Luna.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Prince Keane started to unbutton his polo leaving Luna speechless. She could feel her cheeks burning hot as she looked at the traces of his beautiful body build. Making her whole body run in the heat. Prince Keane lifted her chin up making their eyes meet once again,

"You like what you see?" He gave her the most attractive look, their face only inches away.

"Now tell me what I want to hear, You're obviously getting turned on, Honey," he sneered

Luna wants to resist, she knows she can resist this kind of thing. She can't be seduced by this pervert. And most of all, she's never gonna let him get her first kiss.

Getting no answer from her, he slowly closed the gap between their faces, not even looking at her eyes. Focusing his eyes on her lips, Luna couldn't do anything but just be forced to close her eyes. She could feel his breath brushing against her cheek. She waited for it.

one second... two seconds... three seconds... Nothing came.

She slowly opened her eyes and saw Prince Keane standing in front of her, buttoning up his polo with a smirk on his face.

"You expecting something?" he said trying to sound so innocent,

Luna quickly looked away, calculating what just happened, and stood up. Her eyes widen when she saw Roxanne standing by the door, she quickly took a quick peek at Prince Keane buttoning up his polo and looked back again at Luna with shock in her eyes.

"Oh--" Luna was speechless, and probably she knows Prince Keane does not know that someone was at the door.

Prince Keane looked at Luna curiously, "What's with that look--?" He turned where Luna was looking and saw Roxanne.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to--" Roxanne apologized, "No! wait! Roxanne." Luna ran towards her and held both her hands.

Her hands were cold and shivering. And there, Roxanne understood the situation and looked at Prince Keane.

"Bring her back to her room, she must be tired," he said with a teasing tone that added malicious thoughts into Roxanne's head. "Yes, Your royal highness,"
