Chereads / Yandere: How A Luckless Man From Earth Got His Harem / Chapter 4 - Wake Up Brother - Tiara Says

Chapter 4 - Wake Up Brother - Tiara Says

"By the way, could you stop waking me up that way?"

Seeing her mouth about to open again, I hurriedly thought of an idea and shifted the topic.

Although I expect a useless excuse from her, deep within me, I still wish that she has a good reason, or my head will heat again.

Tiara shows an 'I am thinking' expression with her eyes at nowhere and a fingertip on her chin.

Then, she giggles and says;

"School day! Today is a school day. Big brother and Tiara need to attend school together!!!"

Ah?

One of my eyebrows lowers at her answer.

"I didn't think~"

Cough*

I was about to say that she didn't answer my question and I know nothing about what she's saying, but before I could, my mind suddenly circulated information and I suddenly remembered that the former owner of the body, through that dream, told me I need to continue his study (school).

Through the academy, I will learn more about this new world where I now belong and also cope up with my peers in terms of magic.

Gosh! I almost make myself get caught.

...?

Wait~

Suddenly, my head feels an unknown but cool energy enters.

When the energy reaches my brain, there is a sound of click* like something within me just gets unlocked. After which, a refreshing feeling circulated in my body. I feel as if a thorn in my throat disappears.

But that is not the end. Out of the blue, I see myself standing in a wide and infinitely calm sea; which I am speculating my sea of consciousness.

I turn around and eventually stop in the sky whereas I see a vast screen floating.

The screen, not long after I spot it, plays a film. But this film isn't just anything, every scene makes me feel like I am the one in that scene, the feeling, the sense, and everything. I can feel it in my heart. These scenes are Old Rolan's sealed memories and now, after being unlocked, finally mine. (Unlocked, just part of it)

. . .

After the flashback finishes, I find myself back in the room again.

Tiara is no longer with me. I am alone.

My body got soaked with sweat and my breathing is heavy.

I turn around and look at the clock.

What?

My brows furrow in surprise.

Does that long flashback of memories turn out didn't even take a few minutes?

I can even feel that the hand of the clock didn't move at all. (Of course, it did. Rolan merely just in the state of confusion)

I steal a deep breath and support myself with my hand to sit.

I hop down on the ground and walk towards the bath. I decided to have a fresh bath to refresh my mind and clean my now stinky body which is covered by sweats and some kind of black dirt that I don't know where it comes from.

. . .

Based on the memories, magic isn't something humans possess since the beginning of creation.

Actually, humans millions of years ago were weakest and incompetent in terms of magic. They can't cast a spell nor read a mantra. They don't have enough muscular strength and endurance thanks to their small body compared to other races such as beast-men.

Maybe when the rain of unluckiness happened, humans were outside and bathed with it.

Hundreds of years ago, a war between races sparked.

The war wasn't small, and it lasted for hundreds of years.

Even humans who were originally neutral had left with no other choice but to be pulled into the war to protect their race, homeland, and future.

This insistence of humans against other races caused millions of casualties within just a few years of continuous battles in different parts of the continent.

Humans were full of flaws, they were weak, incompetent in magic, and their life span was also short. This caused a big disadvantage, and contrary, a tremendous advantage for the other races. Although humans have known for their intelligence, still, they weren't the most intelligent species but the elves. Having this so-called intelligence is nothing but just a minor obstacle to the enemy.

After many years of humanity's demise, they cannot take the pain anymore, losing comrades and family, lovers and friends every day.

They thought of a new way for them to survive this war.

And so, they kneel under the heavens, submit offerings, and even give life as a sacrifice. They prayed to every God with their wishful thinking that they can survive this war through this action. This was their ultimate resort.

But everything didn't come in handy, only after tens of years of faithful prayers of humans towards the Gods,(and the fact gods also created humans) Gods finally listened to their summons.

As a response from the Gods, a weird rain of light occurred on the human continent. Seeing this, the human bathed under it and they earned the abilities they were wishing for.

Since then, one by one, supernatural individuals appeared in the world of humans and got dubbed as heroes.

That was one theory of how Magic appeared in the world of humans.

Unfortunately, not only do these events make humans stronger but also make many individuals greedy and gloomy.

Why?

Because although every human could wield magic, that didn't mean that every human became powerful since that day. Instead, many individuals got just an inconsiderable amount of magic. Some didn't even improve, and some just didn't know how to feel content.

This was the main reason villains in humanities appeared after the heroes. They wanted to be the strongest; they wanted to go against everyone, and they were seeking havoc with their ill and destructive intention; to challenge the Gods.

An excellent example of biting the hand of who fed them.

...

After the magic appeared in the world, and so, the distortion of the path of every human. Academies came to stop this from getting worse.

Academies proclaimed they aim to teach humans the truth behind their powers. It is for humans to learn how to use their talents to the extent or for them to learn more about magic.

The appearance of academies helped to mend the destroyed path of humanity as they accept students in indifferent parts of the continent.

Speaking of students, me and my little sister, Tiara, with the luck from heaven, got accepted as a student in a nearby academy.

And because of a certain reason, my younger sister and I also got accepted as a scholar there. A win-win situation for the two of us who don't have enough money to pay tuition fees. With this scholarship, I can study with my sister for free.

I ain't sure what the main reason is, but from what I can remember, my sister's talent in magic is greater than mine. She is one of the talented students in the academy with a bright future ahead of them.

I guess she's the major reason we became scholars. But as I said, I ain't sure about it.

What's important is, even with the talent she has, she didn't become like the others that turned arrogant after being praised by their magic and got popular; even with the reputation she has, she remains kind and respectful to me.

What a good girl!

. . .

After half an hour, everything gets prepared, and we are finally ready to set off.

"Brother! Let's go!"

"Yes! A minute!"

I hastily pack all the belongings in my spatial ring and race outside as I hear her call.

"You are so slow, brother! I should put a..."

My eyes turn sharp. I feel a sudden cold of energy and instantly stretch my hand and give her a weak snap at the back of her head, which halts her word. "Put what?! "

I give her a dead serious look as I ask.

"Bwahahaha! Did I say something like I'll put something? When? I can't remember!"

But as usual, she acts again. She waves my hand off as if nothing happens and laughs out loud like a last laugh of villains.

After laughing for a while, she shows a bright smile and runs away... But after running a few meters away; she scratches the part of her head I slapped then turns around. Like a kid (Well, she's still a kid) she stretches her shoulders wide like an airplane and runs back to my side. She puts her little hand on my palm and pulls me as she runs again.

"Let's goooooo!!! Atttaaaccckkkk!!!"

Seeing her bright smile, the nervousness on my face breaks into a smile as well. Her smile makes my heart feel content.

Seeing that I am not moving, Tiara stop pulling and looks at me, "Brother, don't be a statue"

She then pulls me again, but this time, I let my body get pulled by her, and the two of us run like kids.

. . .

Many people were just like us, walking while laughing with their companions, walking in the same direction and wearing the uniform from the same academy, with a logo of Two Swords and a Shield with a castle in the middle.

Two swords with a shield and a castle in the middle. This is the logo of the renowned magic academy in the vicinity, the Academic Magic Academy.

I only have fragmented memories of this academy. Just thinking of entering a real magic academy, I can feel my heart throbbing so fast in excitement.

I am eager to see what this school is capable of and what I could learn inside.

A smile forms on my lips as I walk hand to hand with Tiara.

The academy isn't that far from our home, not long after, just after twenty minutes of the trip.

A gigantic and magnificent towering wall appears in front of me.

There is also a big open gate waiting for us to enter...

"Brother, what are you thinking? Stop thinking about girls. We are already here! Humph!"

She snaps me out of my thoughts.

"Don't be ridiculous!"

I said, but before I could snap her forehead, she snapped my hand away first.

I turn around and let my eyes roam.

Tiara already left me behind before I knew it. With a bitter smile, I give a bitter laugh and start humming as I walk.

By the way, "Magic Academy, I'm finally here!"
