The Magic Academies have a system they follow to avoid difficulties and many problems.
To enter a magic academy, you first need to pass the entrance exam they will present. You need to reach the requirements and pass many documents. Of course, money and talent are also needed.
In Academos Magic Academy's case, to enter this magic academy, certain supervisors will test your aptitude in magic, "first".
Of course, if your aptitude in magic is low and fails to reach the certain level the Academy requires, you could not undergo the next stage. But if your aptitude reaches the level needed, they will place you in a certain class depending on your aptitude again. You will enter this certain class to study as a pre-student until the next exam comes and if you pass, then you'll be called as an Official Academos Student.
Always remember that most of the academies are accepting students based on aptitudes.
How can they know how much your aptitude is and why they want their students to have a high aptitude?
Let me explain.
Aptitude can get determined by placing your hand on a magic orb that can detect someone's soul and also talent.
Note that Magic orbs haven't created by nature but have created by humans using thousands of resources such as magical artifacts, blood, and souls of beasts. This is one example of this world's high-level technology. Although this world isn't like the other Earth; the technologies here are also surging like sea waves.
This place also has its own technologies. Merely there are differences between the two worlds' so-called technologies.
Technologies in this place are mostly being used with magic/mana and not electricity.
It is hard to know what world is more advanced because of the differences.
Anyway...
After putting your hand on the magic orb, a certain number will appear on its crystal body, and that represents your magic aptitude. These numbers have named Aptitude Mana Points. These points can tell your future with no exaggeration.
Of course, aptitude could also rise in the future. After all, that is the main reason magic academies exist, for us to learn and advance.
Academies searches for students with a high aptitude.
Why?
Easy.
Once a person graduates from a certain academy and reaches something great in his journey, even though that person has already graduated, not only that certain person's reputation will rise but also the place where the person studies, learns and grows will get their reputation skyrockets.
Another, is for connection because it is impossible for anyone that graduated and got a golden future to forget who helps him/her to earn everything he/she has. Once the academy gets into trouble, they are expecting these graduated students and the current students to help them out.
It is all for-profit... A win-win situation for them. In this world where magic exists, it is rare to find someone who doesn't want fame, money, reputation, etc.
That is also the case for my sister. My sister's aptitude is great and one of the best in the Academy. Because she knows her value, she then requested to let her brother, who is me, be able to enter the Academy as a scholar too... I guess I already said that we are not rich yet next with no money. Having enrolled without needing to pay is a great relief for both of us.
The academy, on the other hand, after receiving the request, hastily did everything for my sister to have an indebtedness towards them. Not only did they let me enter the academy as a scholar, but they also didn't give me a hard time by giving an entrance exam but placed me at the "middle level... Class 4" right away.
Maybe they are afraid that I'll fail and so their plan would end up as a failure.
This is just my assumption at first, but after thinking about this issue, I thought that it's impossible for the academy to accept me for any other reason than this.
...
Class levels depend on your aptitude points...
Class 10 is the weakest class and where the students have barely achieved those requirements that were asked.
Class 9 is barely higher...
And so on... Until 1...
We consider class four neither weak nor strong...
Class one isn't the strongest class. There is still higher, which got dubbed as Star Class. Only those geniuses could enter. One of them is my sister.
This star section has said to be the class where those individuals that are already destined to reach a glorious future and one day will get the title of hero.
However, the more they are powerful, the more I feel pity for them.
Why?
The more the expectation of everyone, the more pressure they need to overcome as the day goes by.
Just like the saying goes, the greater the power you have, the bigger your responsibility is. And that isn't an easy feat.
I know deep inside my little sister, she also hates it. Based on her temperament and my memories of her, I know she doesn't wish to be an outstanding individual.
Having or spending time with family is far better for her.
The title of being a genius isn't easy to earn, but easy to lose. And if you lose it, the world would turn its back on you and will trash you away.
Having nothing is better than losing something.
Nothing new about this phenomenon. I wish her enormous luck.
Thinking about these things, I shake my head and sigh. I feel bad for her. I wish I could take at least half of that burden, but because I am not a genius like her, I don't have that much help that I can give to her.
Maybe the best thing I can give to her is my time and patience.
Do not be mistaken though, this is solely a normal brother's love towards his sister and no more... Promise.
. . .
After walking near the gate, a guard that wears white battle armor and a silver cape that stands like a statue in the corner looks at me.
Without waiting for him to speak, I take my I.D off from my spatial ring and show it to him.
Seeing my I.D, the guard nods and points to the open gate; indicating that I can continue my walk.
I didn't dare to stay in there for too long. After getting the approval, my feet started to walk on their own and hastily leaves the area.
I don't know, just looking at that guard's eyes makes me sweat. The pressure he has almost gives me a heart attack. Fortunately, I hold myself.
. . .
Wow!
After entering the gates, I see a blinding light engulfs my eyesight that causes me to blink before a new world sets in front of me.
There are many things around the place that I am yet to see but now. There are many expensive-looking sculptures that reflect the sunlight in the place.
There is also a huge skeleton tower with a huge raven clock that gives a sound of 'Tik Tak' in each second its hand moves.
Mysteriously, although the tower is huge, I can still clearly see the time when I raise my head to look at it.
I am yet to say everything what are in here, but I am afraid if I try, I won't finish until tomorrow.
