A stunning full moon hung on the sky, lightening up the land with its grace.
"It seems even the god of Frost and moon hope we'll have a good journey." Vaterian was cleaning his handgun, he was finally able to move around freely after some rest.
"It was just a normal moon phase, don't always use your religious view to interpret it." Igor didn't agree with Vaterian's view, he saw the moon as a normal cycle, not a
"Don't talk as if you had not expressed your heathen opinion before, if I am not mistaken you used to work in your church?"
"My mother always want me to learn how to read and write, that was the only reason I stayed there," Igor replied to Vaterian, he didn't care so much about studying when he was a kid, but his mother wanted him to learn despite they already had a tough life in the slum.
"However, it proved Layla had a good investment, not everyone can become the servant of a prince."
"But this prince needs to keep running away from his political opponent and as a servant, you had no choice but follow." Said Igor ironically.
"Hmm?" Vaterian raised his eyes brown, in the barrel of his gun there was still bullet and gunpowder, the gunpowder was wet and unable to be fired. He looked at Igor, he get the answer.
"What?" Asked Igor, he seems already forgotten how they fight in the cave
"Nothing."
______(Weeks after)_____
"You sure we need to do this?" Riding on the horseback, Igor wasn't secured about the choice they made.
"You can try to stay here and get caught when the second investigation Korps arrives. I will not bail you out of jail, and you need to face the wrath of the nobility alone." Vaterian staring at the full moon in the sky, it's been a month since it appeared.
"Shouldn't we inform Valenciano about this? He should know that two bastards stole his horses and ran away." Igor asked Vaterian about this issue, he didn't wish to be accused as a thief.
"Didn't need to, Valenciano will understand us, he gets two free workers in two months, what more could he ask for?" Vaterian jumped onto the saddle, turned toward Igor and asked.
"Maybe asked you to bring his daughter along?"
"Shut up, I didn't understand why you had that weird impression between me and Viridiana." Vaterian answered in a rather high volume, but neither did he panic nor shy about it, just unpleasant about Igor's statement.
"Maybe you could ask Viridiana herself? You may get a better understanding." Igor pointed at Vaterian's back. Viridiana was standing there dressed in a white dress.
"When were you there, Viridiana? Have you been trained to walk without any voice before?" Vaterian laughed and joked about it.
"Why don't you ask yourself? Why are you always unaware about everything around you when you focusing on anything." Viridiana laughed and said.
"Why do you know to use about to leave, Viridiana? I don't remember I ever told you about it." Vaterian asked his question, despite he could guess the answer, he still wanted to hear it from Viridiana.
"The newspaper had stated everything to me, I think my father also know about it but he just pretends that he doesn't know about it."
"Just like I expected, I'm not the only one who like to read newspapers. I hope there also such a delicacy in your country but I don't think the Carpathian emperor will give your people the right." Vaterian was sad about this marvellous creation wasn't available in the Empire, the foreign dynasty was very sensitive about every opposition under them.
Especially with the current emperor illegitimately taking the throne, the restriction was growing even further.
"Enough with all these chit-chattings is time for us to leave, Viridiana. I hope I can meet you again."
"So do I, Vaterian." Viridiana smiled and passed something to the teenagers.
"What was this for? Quite a fancy creation." Opened the packaging, Igor took a look at the thing hidden inside it, it was a brand new cloak for both of them.
"Igor you did know it was very impolite to open a present in front of the person who gave you," Vaterian warned Igor although he knew Igor never put that in mind.
"It wasn't a big offence for me, I would like to lin to your comment on it."
"That's made I'm the weirdo right now, never expected that to happen." Vaterian listen to Viridiana answer and laughed.
Igor wore the cloak in a nick of time, he looked quite pleased about it. "It looked far better than any other one in Helland, I finally understand why those Talismanian likes to follow the fashions from your country."
Vaterian opened his present, It was different to what Igor received. It was black and dull, the only thing special about it was the six-winged eagle sewed inside the cloak.
"Thanks a lot, Viridiana. I will utilize it well." Vaterian put the cloak on, it reached his knee, perfectly made.
"I had nothing to give you back, the only thing I had was my name and title. I believe this little thing will help you a lot in your future venture." Vaterian placed a badge in Viridiana's palm, the coat of arms of the royal family was craved on it, and also their motto "Gott Mit Uns".
"May the evening star guide you to success," Viridiana bowed down toward the teenagers and said.
"May the Vorsinger guide you to a new height," "May Saint Patrick and John guide you to success." Said Vaterian and Igor.
The boys didn't stay longer, they kicked the horse and let it galloped to the north. A newspaper being blown away by the wind it created, today's headline was written on it.
"Leaked news from Noble assembly! The Avant-Garde Prince accused Grand Duke of limiting the access for Merchant from other countries and the Mathar to monopolize the market, during the discussion over the second search for the Markish Prince."
