It only took Leo 7 minutes to run about a full mile to the edge of the city. Standing on the edge of a cliff, the dazzling moonlight shone and the breeze blew over his tattered clothes.
Leo had been fighting for the past three days that he had utterly disregarded his personal appearance, his previous jet black T-shirt now looked no different from a beggars clothing and the smell of blood on his body was so thick it could be smelt about half a mile away.
Looking at himself well, even Leo found himself slightly repulsive. "If only I could... wait maybe if i....".
Not even finishing his own sentences, Leo excited closed his eyes in an attempt at yet another experiment with his new Demon gifted abilities.
After focusing for ten seconds, the black shadows started to form all around his entire body as it completely clouded his appearance.

10 seconds after accepting, the shadows disappeared revealing the same youth, albeit now he was fully clothed and no longer looking like a vulgar barbarian.
His previously ripped clothing was replaced by a sensational black uniform with a red straight lines going down the arms like an athletic tracksuit. A hooded red cloak hung over the uniform like costume that slightly distorted his face to prevent accurate sight of his facial features.
All In all, it basically looked like an improved version of his favorite black shirt and red jacket he wore looking much more awesome, mysterious and cool. On the back of the cloak however was something that Leo didn't take notice in the slightest.

Leo clearly understood what his skill could do, sometimes he could get things free of charge while at other times, it was a trade by barter system requiring him to obtain additional ingredients which varied depending on how strong, powerful or weird the said equipment may be. The stunning duds he just purchased were definitely not ordinary as he wouldn't need to expend precious rune crystals if it were so.

With a wide grin, Leo gave himself a mental pat on the back for using his wide imagination to create such equipment. This skill was really Godsent and the only thing missing was a new pair of weapons as the Katana hanging on his back was now outdated for him.
Feeling satisfied with himself, he proceeded to take a look at the chaotic sounds coming from the nearby city that had ruined the cool evening atmosphere where a 4 foot tall gate was constantly leaking out dimensional energy.

"Damn it Torres, Circle back we need to hold it off until the melee Attribute users get here, this Cyclops won't yield". A slender woman wearing a purple combat uniform yelled out loud while her hands continued to leak out a bright radiance.
Her companions were being pushed back while dealing out a ruthless assortment of firepower. The man currently locked in close combat went by the name Torres Telemont.
His body was currently about twice as large as his original burly figure and thick scaly like armor covered his skin while a short horn was rested on his forehead.
From his features alone, one could tell he was a Rune stone beast based user with a Rhinoceros transformation ability which aided him with high defensive capabilities as well as increased strength.
He was currently battling head on with a Monster that had come out from a 1st order gate with one eye and a humongous size swinging a giant club at the smaller fellow who was giving him a headache.
With another swing of its club, Torres who was initially putting up a good fight at the start was sent flying and crashing into an evacuated building. The heart of all the members of their fighting squadron stiffened as they witnessed that scene.
Torres was the main vanguard of their group squadron and also one of their three strongest Runic Beast Soldiers. His Rhino transformation ability at level 7 gave him strength that was able to rival some Attribute ability Hunters whose domain were based in super strength yet he was sent flying like a little chick.
Initially their squadron had come to this location to deal with the problem as well as the reward they would receive for defeating the monsters, but upon figuring out that this was a gate at the top of the 1st order, their idea to monopolize the crystals and any other treasures they could find was extinguished.
With their objective changing to delaying the advance of these creatures to avoid them from wreaking havoc, forcing them to attack without their other Vanguard and engaging in a head on confrontation. Even if they couldn't receive the full prize for clearing this gate, they would at least receive compensation as well as some precious treasures.
Their combined attacks were able to hold the one eyed monster known as a Level 11 Cyclops but the group failed to account for the fact that the Cyclops would bring backup. Several Level 5 Tasmadoors attacked the squad members from all sides as they rushed out of the gate in a feeding frenzy.
Gritting her teeth and steeling her resolve, a bright radiance exploded from her hands as her level 8 light ability reached the peak of its class. With her purple uniform exuding a yellow aura, the captain of their squad known as Carolyn Hart blasted out yellow light beams from her hands at the incoming cyclops monster that towered above 4.5 feet.
The Cyclops seeing the attack couldn't care less as the light beams landed on the its skin, Attacks of the lower level would be unable to do damage to its skin unless it was a rather outstanding ability.
However when the light beams came in contact, the skin slightly burnt to a noticeable degree causing the Cyclops to feel stunned, A lower level of the First order had actually caused harm to its skin. This caused the Cyclops to be enraged as it let out a wild roar instantly sending messages to its subordinates. The Tasmadoors that were entangled with other team members diverted from their fights and headed over to Carolyn in a full head on attack.
"Captain! Several members immediately rushed over to give aid to their captain as a male Speed attribute user rushed over with two dual daggers in his hand. This man was group assassin named Gale Wester and his speed attribute was at level 6, The captain Carolyn put her hands together in panic as she unleashed her full energy into a palm strike towards the floor.
Light Rebound!
The light impact flattened the cemented street into cracked surfaces as the shockwaves pushed back the incoming Tasmadoor pack. Like a agile sparrow, Gale came right behind a level 4 Tasmadoor and a slash with his daggers reaped that ones life.
Other group members came over,thee majority of them being attribute users.
Roar!
Torres had already jumped up from the earlier rebound and charged straight towards the Cyclops that was smashing buildings left and right with its giant club, the earthquakes it made shook the ground whereby the police line about a block away could feel the battle happening faintly. At that moment, the worried police saw a figure flash pass them at high speed.
BATTERING RAM!
For a heavy soldier with a strength Attribute ability, the Battering ram was his strongest charged skill allowing home to build up momentum to smash into his enemies. Only about a meter away from the Torres, the Cyclops rushed forward in an eruption of energy and met the attack head on.
Bang!
A stalemate had been drawn with Torres strongest skill being blocked easily. "This-This can't be!" Nevertheless a feeling of dread surfaced in his heart, the instant eruption in strength took place once more as Torres was pushed back to the point of flying, but while he was midair, the Cyclops grabbed his leg and slammed him into the ground making his head go extremely dizzy.
The Cyclops gave out a cold snort as it clenched its fists and drove down on Torres legs.
"Ahhhhh" The sound of breaking bones was heard by the struggling members of the squadron as Torres legs which had been reinforced with Rhino armor were smashed into and mangled. As this point the eyes of the Cyclops started to glow a deep blue color as it stood motionless above Torres.
"Fuck it hadn't even used its special ability, Everybody run!" Gale Screamed and instantly used his Speed attribute in the situation were it would show its brilliance the most, Escaping. Gale was the fastest and therefore dashed out of the way without hesitation, the rest however were not so lucky as a blue laser beam shit out from the Cyclops large spherical eye and headed straight for the remaining group of 4 people that had huddled together to stand off the Tasmadoors.
"Amy now" another group members headed Carolyn's orders and stepped in front of the group while placing her hands in the ground. An instantaneous barrier of blue light shielded the group of people as Amy's entire being radiated a protective aura.
Nevertheless, upon making contact, the shield she had poured all her energy into had been extremely pressured by the Cyclops single laser attack to the point of after resisting for a few seconds, it caved in and exploded from the outside blasting the group away inside the barrier. Only Carolyn managed to withstand the aftermath and be pushed back only few feet away.
Nevertheless, she was extremely exhausted as she instantly sunk to one knee while she coughed out a mouthful of blood, the might of that last blow had given damage to her internal organs. Still she ignored the damage and her hands now radiated a glow that was much dimmer than before as she had exhausted so much strength. Just being able to make it was already going past her limits, as for attacking she was not sure what to do and just needed to hold her squad together or they would all die.
The Cyclops however didn't seem to care about her bravery or willpower as four level 5 Tasmadoors that had survived the shockwave rushed at her like wild dogs.
Her heaving chest that had two voluptuous twin peaks made her helpless face look extremely beautiful even in the face of utter despair. Before she could raise her hands to shoot out the light beams a silhouette rushed past the Cyclops that was standing like an overbearing mountain.
With intense speed, it raced past the four Tasmadoors and the whooshing sounds as well as sounds of slicing of flesh could clearly be heard. The already lunging Tasmadoors fell to the floor with the heads falling straight off their bodies while one head its head sliced in half.
The Cyclops that had one hand on its large club looked at the four underlings and back at the human female that had a bewildered expression on her face as she looked at the four dead corpses in front of her. In a fit of rage, the blue laser beam shot out from the Cyclops eye once more and streaked towards Carolyn's position.
"Shit! Captain is a gonna, we need to....."
Bang!
A black shadowy substance had unexpectedly risen from nowhere and blocked the incoming attack, completely shielding Carolyn in a black dome and negating the laser beam.
Everyone had eyes filled with shock and astonishment. "That was the Laser that Amy's level 8 barrier couldn't completely resist, what the hell is that thing?"
Afterwards the dome opened up to reveal their captain on the floor and a Youth dressed red and black with a hood covering his face standing directly next to her. The curved Katana in his right hand exuded a bloody aura like it thirsted for slaughter.
"If I kill that thing, can I have its crystal"
