At the ever-green pack Erik, walked into Duncan and Maggie's house, "Sorry to interrupt, Alpha Duncan, I got a call from Alpha James, Blair has gone missing," he informed. "I'll gather the men, you get in the air and see if you can find anything," Duncan replied with a nod. Maggie's hand went to her mouth, "Be careful," she told her husband. He nodded and headed out.
Erik loved working the drones, they were his favorite piece of technology that they had recently added. He sat in the control booth at the edge of their territory with a few other pack army members and a map of the surrounding territory. They flew their fleet in a v formation, they began at her house and spread out from there. Erik was getting disappointed after thirty minutes of not finding anything. "Sir, there's a clearing here, but it's not on the map," one of the other men said. "It's probably just from logging or some development," Erik shrugged. "Sir," the man replied. Erik rolled his eyes and walked over to his screen. "What is that?" Erik asked. "It looks like an ancient symbol the black magic for," the man began. "Absorbing power," Erik finished.
Blair felt the brightness of the moon hit her face; her eyes squinted from the pain. Her head hurt and her wrists were burning. Blair tried to remember what happened, she remembered arguing with James, then running in the woods. Then she heard something, a twig snap and she began to run her heart racing and she was howling for help. Blair opened her eyes slowly, she was naked and chained to something, but why couldn't she shift. She heard the chains clank and was pulled to her feet. She blinked her eyes, her vision still a little blurry and someone forced a kiss on her, she kept her mouth shut and grimaced trying to push them away. "Still too good for anyone else," Craig sneered. "The silver won't let you shift," Craig added seeing her struggle.
Blair looked around; it was a clearing with a symbol made out of rocks. She knew this symbol, she had read about it in the journal, but she couldn't remember the meaning. "Craig, we need to finish the set up," a familiar voice seethed. He growled and snapped at the person, Blair turned and saw Simone, her eyes went black, and Craig winced and whined falling in pain. Simone straightened and her eyes went back to their amber color, "Bitches," he muttered and went into the woods. "He really wants to mark you, but I can't have you tainted," she explained. "Simone, what are you doing?" Blair begged. "Taking what is mine?" she explained clearly power hungry. That's when Blair felt it, she immediately turned around, "BEN," she gasped.
"We have to get to her before they do the ritual," Erik explained over the speakerphone to James as he and his team sped towards the clearing. "Let's go," Kaspar said. "We still don't know how many of the pack are helping them," James told him trying to stay calm. "Judging by the footage from the drones, it's business as usual with the rest of the pack. We saw people going out to eat, driving to the mall. There was no sign they know their alpha was in trouble," Erik added. "Sounds like the Winston witch is masking everyone," elder Wallace spoke up. "What do we do to stop her?" Kaspar asked. "Once she starts the only way to break it, is by spilling someone else's blood into the cup instead of Blair and Ben's," James explained. "We don't have much time, if she already has Ben, it won't take long for the ritual to be complete," elder Wallace added.
"Blair," Ben called once he saw her. Blair screamed as she struggled and tried to break her cuffs, "You sons of bitches," Ben fought against his cuffs, but they were silver, and he fell to his knees as Todd yanked and they burned into his skin slicing at the edges. They pulled him to the other circle below, where Blair was chained. Simone stood on a pedestal in the bottom circle, "I need the chalice," she called. Bruce brought her a silver cup with a purple amethyst in the center, Blair could only watch as Simone began chanting something in another language. Blair looked at Ben and he looked at her, "What do we do," she said inside. "I don't know," he panicked back. Simone was chanting in front of Blair, her eyes completely black. Todd, wearing gloves grabbed her from behind, as Craig grabbed Ben and held a knife to their throats, "I'm sorry I didn't get to mark your sister," Craig growled into Ben's ear, while Simone continued to chant. Blair could feel the blade burning into her skin slowly.
It must've also been silver, she screamed as it became unbearable. A growl stopped Todd, he pushed Blair to the ground and slowly turned around. James' wolf lunged at his neck and ripped his throat out before he could do anything. "Get them," Simone yelled at her small mangy pack. It didn't take the ever-green warriors long to overpower the pack Simone, Todd, and Craig had assembled. They were young, inexperienced, and unsure of their powers, Simone was nowhere to be found.
James ordered the pack to look for her in the woods, "She couldn't have gotten far," he called, and he shifted to human form. He ran to Blair, he wrapped his arms around her, "Blair," he called. Her eyes fluttered before she opened them. James smiled, "Are you ok?" He whispered. She nodded, "I love you," he whispered against her lips before kissing her. Her throat was cut but not deep, but already healing. "The cuffs are silver," Blair stuttered, still shaking a little. James nodded and searched Todd's body for a key, he found a small old fashion key, he unlocked Blair's cuffs. She fell into him, her arms wrapping around him, "It's ok," he whispered.
Blair looked up at him, but something move over James's shoulder. It was her father, he looked dead in his eyes as he walked over to the alter. "Daddy?" Blair called quizzically, as she let go. James turned, "Daddy," Blair repeated a little louder. He stood over the chalice, "It's the only way to protect you both," Kaspar told her grabbing the dagger. She looked at him confused, "I love you, both," he said tears beginning to roll down his cheeks. "DAD, NO!" Ben yelled. In one quick motion Kaspar held the chalice to his neck and slit his own throat with the dagger. As he fell bleeding into the chalice, something radiated from Ben knocking everyone over and he collapsed on the ground his nose bleeding. James grabbed Blair and turned her away, trying to shield her. She buried her face into James' chest and crying.
Erik and Ryan unlocked Ben and carried him to the house, Jen was there waiting with the pack doctor. They took Ben to his room and James helped Blair to hers, to put some clothes on, before heading back downstairs with everyone. "Once his blood filled the chalice the powers were broken and the demon was purged from Ben," Duncan explained as the doctor looked Ben over. "He's ok, he just needs some rest," the doctor told them coming down the stairs. He turned his attention to Blair, "I'm fine," she pushed. "Alpha, please," he insisted. James ushered Blair to a chair, and the doctor began to examine the cut on her neck. "It should be healed by tomorrow, but you may carry a scare, as your brother," the Doctor explained, Blair nodded.
"Alpha, your brother is still an exiled wolf," Elder Wallace reminded her. "Not anymore, the demon is gone. Blair can exonerate him and turn over the alpha title," Ryan spoke up. "Technically Blair, you were never named Alpha. You didn't have a ceremony either," elder Wallace added. "He's exonerated, and needs to be reinstated as Alpha immediately," Blair told them all. They nodded, "Elder Luthor, we should hold my father's funeral, immediately," Blair said and walked out.
James followed her to her room and shut the door, "Blair, you're not ok," James told her following her to her bed. She shook her head, "I need to take a shower," she said with a pause, "And I need to get through this," she told him, grabbing his hand. James kissed her cheek and nodded. Blair went into the bathroom and refused to cry as she showered. She put on the same dress as she wore to her mother's funeral. They rode in the same car to the same place, where her father's body laid on the same pyre. This time, Blair was stronger.
