Ray didn't even entertain the thought of getting this guy's bracelet, so he just gave him one last disdainful look and left to his next target.
The young man watched Ray's silhouette dissolve suddenly and muttered with a helpless smile, "I really got destroyed without even fighting." Such a defeat was even more frustrating than losing a fight. When you're opponent doesn't even want to beat you up and just ignore you like an ant then that could destroy your spirit and make you lose the desire to keep on improving.
The young man threw his bracelet away and dropped down on the ground with his head bent down to look at the ground. He then wept silently cursing his lack of talent.
Ray didn't know this but his actions were the reason someone lost hope in pursuing his dream. But even if he returned in time to change what he said, he would've done the same thing as that was what he truly believes and nothing could make him change that.
