Suddenly a shady application appeared in his phone. No one knows that it will be the one that change Ken's financial problem. Author Note : This is a system novel, mainly focused in managing business. I don't know if people will like this, but I personally always like Business/Kingdom/Dungeon Management type of novel. Also I am amateur at writing and also amateur in business, so feel free to correct me if you found mistake in the story. (If you are amateur at writing and business, why are you writing business focused story???)

Chapter 1 - Shady Application

*beep beep beep*

The beeping sound from the smartphone keeps getting louder and louder. After a few seconds, a hand reaches to that smartphone and snoozes the alarm. Meanwhile, the smartphone owner goes to sleep once again.

5 minutes later, the alarm ring again, and now Ken Spencer is awake. Still a little sleepy, Ken is checking his email hoping for some good news to be delivered last night. But too bad, not even one good news arrived.

"Well, I never expect to get the investment that easy.

"This is not good, if this continues I can't pay their salary next month."

Right now there is a little trouble in Ken's company, Creampuff Game Studio. Honestly, there is not enough money to continue the project.

Creampuff Game Studio, a little indie game studio with only 8 people working. Their project right now is Chibi RoboWar, a third-person-shooter multiplayer game for PC. All the characters inside are robots with a chibi style that make the robots look cute.

As of now, there are 10 planned robots at the opening of the game, with more planned for future expansion. Different robots have different strengths and weaknesses. For example, there is a short-ranged type of robot, it has very high agility but has little hp. There is also a sniper-type robot with super high damage. But that sniper can only walk super slow as it needs to carry the humongous sniper around.

Ken really think that the premise of the game itself looks reliable and has potential. Too bad, the development is not so smooth, many challenge pop up when the development starts. Well, that was something that would have happen to a team of amateurs. Because of these problems, the budget swell to almost double of the expected value. This forced Ken to use all his saved-up money to continue the project.

Ken is now looking for an extra fund from an investor. He is mailing all local investment firms about this project. A no-name studio with amateur staff, plus not so smooth development. Of course, the investor will think hard about this.

There is indeed some investor that is attracted by the project. That is a joyous occasion and Ken should have take that money, but he decided to reject it. They want to have a voice on the development, and that is something he would not allow.

He is now at his wit end, if he can't get the money until next month, the project could be suspended or even canceled.

Actually, there is one other way to get funds, crowdfunding. But Ken doesn't want to do this as the crowdfunder can influence the quality of the game. It is not rare to see crowdfunder feels like they also own the project and then dictate the development. This can lead to massive quality drop if the project decided to follow it. Of course the opposite might also happen but Ken doesn't want to risk it.

Other than that, he sense that if he decided to crowdfund the game and then the crowdfunder feels that the game is lacking, he will get cursed to death. He doesn't want that.

"Sigh... If the worst comes then I will consider opening crowdfunding. It is better than canceling the project. But I will insist that all of the paying mass can't influence the development. They can give advice all they want, but the development will still go according to plan. Okay, that settles it."

"Hmm? What is this? I don't remember installing this app. Is there a firmware update last night? Heck, I can't uninstall this app."

Finished checking his mail, Ken operated his phone to go back to home screen when suddenly he noticed that there is a new app installed in his phone. Ken's phone is a cheap smartphone with many bloatware installed. It is not weird to have another bloatware forcefully installed by the manufacturer. The weird thing is there is a firmware update for a phone this old. He then checked if there was a firmware update last night, Ken felt more confused.

"Wait, there was no firmware update for 6 months already. So, where did this app come from? A virus?

"Also what is with the name, 'Business Management: Do Mission, Get Money'. Scammer these days is sure stupid, no sane person will open this shady app. Looks like I should change my phone

"Forget it I have no money. I better wash up and go look for money. Maybe today is my lucky day, and I can get someone that wants to invest."

As Ken tried to stand up, he unknowingly started the application. Then the phone screen turned black with a line of text. Also, the phone gives a long beep while the process is occurring.
