The team is composed of 5 cultists. A Scout, a Spy, a Soldier, a Assassin, and a Hunter.
The role of the Scout is to collect information of their target from the outside of the territory without being noticed. He is equipped with dark clothes that will able him to hide behind the shadows. His main weapon is a cultist knife. He carries a bag of potions and equipment for his mission. Like a map, compass, telescope and smoke bombs. He must not be detected or the mission will be compromised.
The role of the Spy is also to collect information. They have to get inside without raising suspicion to himself. Naturally he won't arm himself and wear appropriate clothes in order to infiltrate the enemy's territory. They must have high social skills, composed and manipulative in order to make this mission success. It is far more risky than the Scout role but he gets more valuable information from the inside.
The role of the Soldier is to fight and distract enemies to himself when the time has come. He will charge a frontal attack alone and will knock out all the enemies without killing them. It will be a great problem for them if he killed one enemy by accident because of the curse they were given by their god. Because of the distraction he created, many will turn eyes on him, making it easy for his companions to do their job.
The role of the Assassin is to eliminate the key target they must kill. The other two roles will follow by to kill the key target's companion if necessary. The Assassin also uses the cultist dagger. They are much quicker than the Scout and Spy and far more merciless when it comes to killing. His mind is only focused of killing the key target, nothing more. After killing the key target, they will escape.
In case the Assassin failed the assassination, the role of the Hunter, who remained standby throughout the events, will be signaled by the Scout to hunt the key target down. He already studied the surroundings outside of the territory, so it is basically his battleground. He will occasionally stumble across hidden passage in the woods. He had the Scout to check it out and confirm that this is one of the possible escape route. They will tag it with color and craft colored fire works for signals. The Hunter is very fast at giving chase and will never fail to kill the target with their great accuracy with their crossbow. The arrow he uses is coated with lethal poison that takes effect instantaneously.
The mission they received is to eliminate the Mayor of the Ricchezza Comune City of Impero del Sole. They received tips that this particular mayor has been colluding with one of the enemies of the Altare Cremisi. The Mayor must die within seven days before he leaves the Ricchezza Comune City. The Scout went on ahead scouting the entire area for possible entry ways. The Spy is preparing their disguise and the Soldier is on standby at a local tavern. The Assassin observes the security of the Ricchezza Comune Soldiers. The Hunter is strolling down the woods looking for exits that may be used for escape.
The Scout determined four possible entry ways. On the mansion where the Mayor usually stays, the second floor balcony left side of the mansion is the best choice to enter because not alot of guards are guarding that spot. There is also backdoor where only servants enters, which the Spy can disguise himself as one of them to enter the mansion. The other one is the chimney that is directly inside the Mayor's bedroom. They cannot drop poison down there because they may cause unwanted casualty. The attic is so far the safest choice but harder to enter since it is locked from the inside. The Spy has to open the attic door for them to enter.
The security for the mansion is not that big. Only plenty of guards are guarding the gate and denies entry of the residents who wanted to meet with the mayor. The Soldier will have a good time knocking the guards out with his insane amount of power. The Hunter determined every escape routes but none of them leads to the mansion. But he did find one route directly to the secret brothel, which excites him very much.
Two days after scouting the area, they now discuss on how to enter the mansion and kill the Mayor. The Assassin suggested to have the Spy to enter first and collect more info such as the Mayor's timetable so that they can plan out more. The group has been killing big spiders from nearby, satisfying their thirst for blood. They can only kill one for each day. The curse really limits their activities.
The Soldier will be in stand by, which gave him free time to wander around the Ricchezza Comune City. He will occasionally deal problems for everyone when he sees something disturbing, such as breaking up fights of grown men who are very drunk. He is even challenged to a brawl. He easily overpowered the challenger and earned praises from the people who have watched.
The Spy puts on his servant disguise and entered the mansion through the back door without being noticed. He has to act like one and listen to the servant in charge of what he must do. As he does the task he was ordered to, he will eavesdrop the Mayor with the other men with high status. When he has the chance, he will steal the documents hidden in the drawer and examine it very quickly before putting it back. He learned by the sixth day, the Mayor will have a private discussion with the nobles in his meeting room by noon. He comes back with this information and shares it with the others.
They came up on a plan of sneak attack. The Soldier will distract the guards by acting he is protesting about the Mayor's connection to one particular noble, who has been responsible of the unfair taxing for the travelers from Frassino City. The Scout and the Assassin will be using the Chimney entry way since it will not be used for the time being. Based on the building blueprint, the meeting room should be on the second floor. The door to the room has two small end tables that has flower vase on top of them.
The Hunter lies in wait and the Spy will be knocking out all the people inside without anyone noticing. They waited for the sixth day to come and the plan is in motion before noon. After confirming that all nobles entered the mansion, the Soldier begins distracting the guards. He yells about how the City treats him garbage and blames the Mayor for siding for the noble who gave unreasonable taxes upon the Frassino People. The guards are provoked and comes to the Soldier. Chaos soon begins and the Soldier knocks the guards one by one. This alerted all the Mayor's men to attack the Soldier. The two cultists have the chance to sneak by.
The Spy quietly knocks out the servants without raising the alarm. He is doing his best reducing the likelihood of having them to spot the other two. The nobles are panicking and the Mayor is doing his best under control. The Scout kicks the door down and throws an exploding firecracker, which cause the nobles to flee. The Mayor calls for his guards but none came to his call. The guards are too busy fighting the Soldier. The Mayor whips out a flintlock pistol towards the Scout and pulls the trigger. It fires a small lead ball towards the Scout. The Scout anticipated it and moves out of the way. The Mayor's face darkened and shaken. His hands trembles as he tries to reload his shot quickly.
It was no use, the Assassin already took him out in one backstab with the ceremonial knife. The Mayor rolled his eyes up and vomits blood. Blood spurts out of his lifeless body when the Assassin pulled his knife out. Their mission is successful. They have to get out of there. The Soldier is still fighting against the guards. He knocked out many men using his bare fist. Many guards are afraid to attack him now. The Soldier is having fun with one guard who lasted longer than the rest. The persistent folks that doesn't give up ticks the Soldier off so he had no choice but to kill the guard with his own hands. The first kill he got for today. He bails out afterwards. The Hunter didn't do any action but had killed one of the pursuers that chases the Soldier using the crossbow. He aimed at the rider's horse and killed the horse then bails out.
During the chaos, the Spy pretended to escape and shouted loudly for everyone to flee. All the servants panicked and starts leaving and the Spy used this chance to blend in and escape through the backdoor. The mission is a success.
The aftermath after killing the Mayor is that the instability within the Ricchezza Comune City increases and the Empero del Sole has their focus on fixing the problem for the time being. The cultists got information of the recent movements created by their enemies behind the scenes. The Team 8 returned to their church safe and sound.
