The SCP Foundation: A secret organization responsible for securing, capturing, and containing various supernatural and paranormal phenomena that cannot be explained by current mainstream science. It would be a hot topic today, and probably widely known.
That is if it wasn't simply fictional.
Zach Coleman, one of the many people on the site that enjoyed reading and exploring the SCP wiki and its many articles, even writing some of his own on the site.
"But we found out that there is a God, and it is SCP-001. And it's a bunch of Horror Writers."
'Guess I'm an SCP then, huh?' Zach thought to himself, barely giving the thought any mind as he took another slow blink and yawned.
Despite reading this specific 001 proposal countless times, it doesn't stop peeking his interest. Does he wonder what it would be like if someone from the real world traveled to the SCP universe?
Would they simply play God and make the multiverse their plaything? Or would they take a more passive approach and try to be nice to all the different beings in that universe.
Beings like the Scarlet king, Yaldabaoth, The Hanged King, and many many more.
Zach snapped himself out of his thoughts as he let out another large yawn. He checked the time on his phone and the gears in his head moved into overdrive for a brief moment.
'10:46?! Oh crap, I have school tomorrow!' Zach quickly turned off his computer and jumped into bed, he set up the alarm clock on his nightstand to wake him up at the same time he set it every other day he had to get up for school.
Finally, to make sure all of his things are done before he went to bed, he plugged up his phone and set it right next to his pillow, unaware of the dark void that was about to swallow him whole as he was drifting off to sleep.
Zach groggily opens his eyes, his body aching from feeling like he slept on a rock.
His mind was still half asleep, he didn't realize he was laying down on the rock-hard asphalt that was in New York City.
'Ugh...man, that must've been the worst sleep that I've had in my life.'
As Zach grumbled to himself about his uncomfortable rest he felt the sunbeam straight down on his face.
He put his arm out in front of his face to shield his eyes, but he noticed something, his room smelled different, and the sun wasn't supposed to feel this hot if he was inside.
Zach's mind finally became wide awake as he realized that he wasn't in his room, or his house at all!
The ground felt hard, Zach looked down to see the hard asphalt that usually paved streets and alleyways.
In just one moment his breathing quickened, his heart was pounding in his chest, he was standing straight up now, eyes taking in every ounce of his surroundings that he could see.
He wasn't inside his bedroom anymore, he was in a city.' WHAT'S GOING ON?!' Zach mentally screamed to himself. He doesn't remember going anywhere else to sleep except for his bedroom in his bed.
'Okay, okay...calm down, this could all just be some dream and I'm freaking out over nothing.'
Zach gulped as he went over to pinch his arm, 'What if this isn't a dream?! What if I did wake up in some random place?! I...don't know what I'd do.'
He felt something. He wasn't in a dream.
Where was he?!
Zach took a quivering breath as he slowly stepped out of the alleyway, people were giving him weird looks, but he didn't care.
Zach was feeling his sweatpants pockets looking for his phone. He turned around and scanned the ground he woke upon.
Zach felt a sliver of hope in his heart when he saw it. He swiftly picked it up and dialed his mom's phone number over and over again, but, she wouldn't pick up.
So he tried his dad, and his sister, his brother, and all the other contacts on his phone, not one of them picked up. Even after he dialed each of their numbers more than five times.
'I...I don't understand. Why aren't any of them picking up?!' Zach dialed each number one more time, again, none of them picked up.
He was confused, tears threatened to flood his eyes, but he held them back as he once again stepped out of the alleyway he was in.
Zach started walking in an unknown direction, taking multiple random twists and turns before he finally figured out where he was.
Zach stared at the large dull green statue in shock, 'I'm in New York?!' He swiftly pulled out his phone and checked his GPS, it did show that he was in New York. Why he didn't check that before, he doesn't know.
He also checked the time and date currently. He saw something that was unbelievable, it was 2033.
Zach finally had it all figured out now, he power-walked away from the statue and looked at his GPS for the nearest closed-off alleyway that he could access easily.
He found one, he set up a couple of soft trash bags that were in the alleyway with him, he didn't care if anyone could hear him anymore.
He let out a loud, heart-shattering sob.
