Opening Author's Notes:

Welcome to the rewrite of chapter 3! Feel free to give me any type of criticism, because I want to be a better writer! Hope you all enjoy it!

"Talking" or 'Talking'

'Thinking'

I ONLY OWN MY CHARACTERS. THE OCS ONLY BELONGS TO ME. THE OTHER SCPS BELONG TO THEIR RESPECTIVE AUTHORS

- - - - - = Time jump. For when the current character gets knocked unconscious.

….

Doctor Miller was known as being a calm and focused researcher. Even in the monster-filled facility known as Site 19, somehow he's still relaxed.

And just like any other level 4 researcher, he now too knew of a new reality-bending entity that the Foundation just caught wind of in New York.

The high-ranking doctor thought that this would just be a simple containment. Just place a Scranton Reality Anchor down, capture the object, and administer amnestics to civilians and that's that!

It seems that he underestimated the anomaly.

Doctor Miller was sent footage that one of the Foundation security cameras picked up shortly before the departure of the entity.

The footage showed that the object's powers caused a brief CK-CLASS REALITY RESTRUCTURING SCENARIO. Then shortly after, the effects of said scenario reversed and everything was normal once more.

The Doctor was also informed that even though the reality alteration only affected a couple of blocks, all civilians seemingly disappeared at the start of the scenario happening.

Civilians were seen roaming the streets again after the reality restructuring scenario seemingly ended, and the anomaly walked out from the alleyway it was presumably staying in and blended in with the crowd.

After Miller finished divulging the information, he was feeling quite intrigued about this reality bender.

Because the object didn't apply to the rules of the more common reality-altering entities the Foundation had discovered.

And this new anomaly caught his full attention…..after it's in containment, he will make sure to learn about it in any way. He will dissect everything that makes it anomalous.

Past Manipulation

The user can selectively alter the past of a target (whether living, object, place, etc.) and determine when, where, what, how, or even why something happened in the past.

This is what Zach had in mind. He thought of it for a little bit after he planned to set up a base at Renwick Smallpox Hospital.

Even though he was still getting a little used to his powers, he's sure that he can at least pull off something like past or historical manipulation. Besides, he's technically a Swann-001 entity, and therefore he's pretty powerful if not the most powerful being in this fictional multiverse, right?

'First I'll try to erase the hospital from the public eye, then I'll either get on a ferry…..or teleport there.' Zach shook himself out of his thoughts as he was thinking of which option was the better one.

"Teleportation might be a better option…" Zach muttered to himself as he quickly turned down a passage of alleyways, as to get away from the uncomfortable clump of people walking the streets.

As his mind was still in the clouds of thought, he heard something.

*WHIRL*

*BANG* *BANG*

'What the?'

Zach turned the corner of the alleyway he was about to exit and saw a couple of construction workers fixing a storm drain that had been dented in the middle.

They didn't notice him. And the storm drain was wide open. 'The sewers could be a good way to teleport to Roosevelt Island without being seen, but first I have to get past these guys into the hold of the storm drain.' Zach thought.

He didn't want to hurt anybody, but….he wanted to go home, and he had to dampen his emotions to have them not get in the way of his goal. Plus, aren't they just a couple of fictional characters?

'Who's going to miss someone who never existed?' Zach thought to himself in an apathetic manner. He'll just erase everything about those men in front of him. Every memory of them, every legal document, he'll erase everything in just a snap.

If they feel anything, Zach will just muffle their screams. Who will hear them? Who will hear them? Who will hear them? Who will hear them? WHO WILL HEAR THE-

Zach's eyes shot open, he slightly stumbled backward into the alley. He was shocked a little, but made sure that the men didn't hear him.

He put his back to a wall and started to hyperventilate, his dark skin getting slightly pale as he thought about what just happened.

'What the H*LL was that?!' Zach screamed internally.

He slowly calmed down, as his breathing slowed.

Okay. Note to self, don't have a God complex. Just act emotionless and everything would be fine.

'Okay….calm down…' Zach regained his composure as he slightly adjusted the collar of his suit.

He slowly snuck out the alleyway, as he crouched and slowly made it closer to the sewer drain, the loud noises of hammers and drills covering the sound he was making.

Zach suddenly came to a halt as he saw the workers get in front of the sewer drain.

He internally sighed, knowing that he'll have to do this the hard way. He slowly took a breath in, making sure he was calm so this works as he plans.

Zach closed his eyes and went into the deep depths of his imagination. He imagined the three workers slowly turning into a pile of dust, and floating away in the wind.

Not long after, he willed that thought to happen, he heard the slight crumbling of something sturdy. Then just as the sound came, it stopped.

The reality-bender opened his eyes to see what he had willed. An abounding pile of dust in place of where the three men were standing

Zach then realized that the slight crumbling noise from earlier was the worker's bones.

He also took the time to practice his reality-bending while he was crumbling the workers to dust.

He erased their legal info, and memories anyone has of them, the one who would remember their existence was him.

He didn't give it another thought and climbed down the storm drain.

…..

This piqued her interest.

She wondered what this tiny insolent little reality-warped had in plan.

Yaldabaoth observed what the little mortal was doing throughout its little journey. Somehow, she still had a connection to the modern world, even after Mekhane trapped her with his own body.

She wondered if she could get one of her followers to pursue the little insect. She would make it part of her group.

She can see that it has potential, maybe even a way to get her out of this annoying prison.

The insect will help her revert humanity to its animalistic instincts again.

Until then….she'll be watching

Closing Author's Notes:

Hey guys and girls! I know I know, I've waited again, and I apologize, mostly I've been thinking of the plot and how to expand my story. It took a while considering how huge the SCP Universe is. But I plan to make a story that almost fully fleshes out the whole expanse of the SCP Universe.

Until then I'll try to update chapters more and stay more consistent, have a great day!
