Chapter 26: NEW FRIENDS!!
On their way to the dining room, Alice and the others met up with Klaus, Joe, Vijay and hewon in the hallway.
Mia: So how many of you guys are living here?
Joe: Eight (8) of us.
Tommy: It's seven (7) of you guys here not Eight.
Klaus: Me, Ari, Joe, Aneka, Alice, Shaw, Lee and Millicent. That's Eight (8) of us.
Ashley: Who's Millicent?
Shaw: Millicent Is our princess and we will do anything to protect her.
Joe: That means if anyone makes her cry will have to deal with me.
Alice: Behave.
Marcel: So Lee is our leader?.
Klaus: He's our emperor.
Tommy: And what are you?
Klaus: I'm Head of security.
Ashley: So what do you do Alice?
Alice: Okay I can see that all of you are curious about our roles so let me explain it to you guys.
Joe: Yes explain it to all of us cause sometimes I don't even remember my role.
Alice: Of course, you wouldn't remember Joe.
Klaus: Then again Lee didn't appoint us to do anything.
Joe: Let's ask him when we see him.
Mia: That's a good idea.
A few minutes later and they all arrived at the dining room.
Lee and aneka sit together while Ari shares out the food.
Millicent had already ate and was taking a nap in her crib a couple of feet away from Lee.
Lee: Come and take a seat, you guys.
Hewon: Yes sir.
Everyone sat down around the table and started to eat.
Ashley: Mr.lee we were wondering what our roles will be and everyone else's role.
Lee: Okay...Alice is second in command which means when I'm not here she's in charge.
Alice: I'll do my best.
Lee: Klaus is in charge of security and will be the one teaching you guys how to shoot properly.
Klaus: I like that.
Lee: Joe is in charge of the vehicles and travelling. He will also be in charge of scouting.
Joe: I can do that.
Lee: Aneka is in charge of the health department and will be the head doctor. She will also be in charge of the medical supplies.
Aneka: Thanks, Lee.
Lee: Ari is in charge of air transport and travel. Ari will be in charge of our air forces.
Ari: I like that.
Lee: Shaw is in charge of military development and will also be a part of scouting.
Shaw: I'm the right guy for the job.
Lee: Alice, Klaus, Joe, Aneka, Ari and Shaw are ranked SS.
Auther: I'm rank S what's my duty?.
Lee: You will be in charge of farming and agriculture life.
Auther: What does that mean exactly?.
Lee: Means you'll be growing food for us to eat...you will be given workers in the near future.
Tommy: So what will the rest of us be doing in the meantime?
Lee: Alice where do you think Tommy should work.
Alice: Security with Klaus and Mia can work with aneka since she's a nurse.
Lee: So Tommy and Mia you will be assigned to those areas.
Alice: Marcel is a handyman, I think he can build us a hospital.
Joe: I'll help him out.
Lee: Okay that's decided.
Alice: Ashley was a daycare teacher she can take care of Millicent while we're out working.
Ari: I think sasheki can be the Cook if that's okay with her.
Sasheki: It is...for now.
Lee: Vijay and hewon will also be working with Klaus.
Alice: Then it's decided.
Lee: Then it is.
Ashley: Not to be rude what will you be doing Mr.lee?.
Lee: I'll be giving orders until I'm needed.
Mia: So how did you guys meet?
Lee: Long story...let's just finish eating and get some rest.
Lee finishes his dinner then gets up.
Lee: Alice remember to take up Millicent.
Alice: I remember.
Lee: Goodnight.
Lee leaves the dining room.
Mia: Is he alright?.
Ari: Why wouldn't he?.
Ashley: He seems quite in a rush to leave.
Klaus: That's Lee.
Alice: Remember all our lives are in lee's hands.
Tommy: I guess you're right.
Ari: And we only have a week worth of food left.
Alice: I thought we had a month's worth of food remaining.
Ari: We did but now we have seven (7) more mouths to feed.
Alice: Did you tell Lee.
Ari: Not yet.
Alice: Okay.
Mia: I'm sorry...it's our fault if we hadn't come here then you guys would have enough food for months.
Tommy: We're sorry.
Lee: Why are you sorry.
Shaw: Lee...how long were you standing there?.
Lee: ten (10) minutes.
Alice: So you heard everything?.
Lee: Yes.
Ari: Lee I'm sorry, I was going to tell you about our food shortages but you seemed stressed out.
Millicent suddenly started to cry, Lee walks over towards her crib and picks her up and pats her on the back.
Lee: There's a factory a few miles from here with a lot of food.
Alice: What kind of food?.
Lee: Rice, Flour, sugar, beans, cornmeal, wheat.
Klaus: So how are you sure someone else hasn't been there before.
Lee: In Milli's journal it states that the factory belongs to her father and that it's highly secure. No one can't enter without a password, the doors of the building is made out of 2-inch thick iron.
Joe: Yeah lee's right no one can Crack that unless you can hack and no one has the time to do that with walkers running around.
Lee: Mill wrote down the password and a lot more information about a lot of useful stuff. This is one of Milli's gifts to us and we will use it.
Vijay: When will we go to secure the goods?.
Lee: Tomorrow.
Tommy: Who will be going?.
Lee: You, Me, Mia and Joe.
Klaus: Why the newbies?.
Lee: I want to see if they can hold their own. They might have survived this long but I don't know how they did.
Tommy: I understand your concern.
Lee: Shaw get some guns and ammunition ready for us tomorrow.
Shaw: Yes sir.
Lee: This will be a two (2) or three (3) day mission. In the meantime Marcel I want you to get the medical facility up and running, hewon and Vijay will give you a hand.
Marcel: Yes sir.
Lee: Klaus you and Shaw should go and check out the buildings around the area.
Klaus: Sure thing.
Lee: Alice you're in charge.
Alice: I know.
Lee: Ari you and Ashley can take care of Millicent while I'm out.
Ari: Getting to spend a few days with my niece is great.
Lee smiles then said LET'S DO THIS.
