Chapter 23: RISE UP!!
Clementine wakes up to see that Kenny is driving the van that they had to fix a while back. Clementine looks over to her right and sees Jane rocking AJ to sleep.
Clementine: What happened?
Jane: Clementine You're awake, Thank God.
Clementine: Where are we going?.
Kenny: Wellington.
Jane: We should go back to carvers place.
Kenny: That place was overrun by walkers.
Clementine: Where's Bonnie and Mike.
Kenny: Don't you remember what happened?
Clementine: No I don't.
Kenny: Mike and Bonnie planned to leave us behind while they escape with the Russian kid.
Jane: The Russian boy shot you and you fell unconscious for a while.
Clementine: Why would they do something so foolish?.
Kenny: I can see a gas station up front let's pullover.
Kenny stops at the gas station to see if there was any gasoline for them to take. A small Herd of walkers approaches out of the thick cold fog and attacks Kenny, Kenny shots the walker and ran towards a mini-mart spot.
He opens the door to find Clementine and Jane standing there.
Kenny: Are you okay Clementine?
Clementine: Yes...are you alright Kenny?
Kenny: I'm still alive.
Clementine: Jane where's AJ?
Jane: I ran away and left him in the van.
Kenny: WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU SAY!!!
Clementine: Calm down Kenny.
Kenny: FUCK THAT!!
Kenny punches Jane in the face then kicks her on the leg. Jane pulls out her knife and stabs after Kenny.
Clementine: No please don't fight.
Kenny: This bitch deserves to die after what she did to AJ.
Jane: FUCK YOU KENNY.
Kenny and Jane begin to fight again but this time clementine is trying to stop them. Jane pushes clementine down and tells her not to try and stop them.
Kenny pushed Jane onto the ground and sat on up of her and punches her in the face multiple times.
Jane manages to take up her knife and stab Kenny in the leg. Kenny screams out in pain, Jane rolls away and kick Kenny where she had to stab him. Jane stabs Kenny in the chest barely missing his heart, Kenny screams out in pain. Clementine saw a gun and crawls towards it.
Clementine takes up the gun but she doesn't know who she must shoot.
'What would Lee do"? Clementine asked herself.
Clementine points the gun and presses the trigger a gunshot goes off and Jane drops dead.
Kenny: Clementine why did you?
Clementine: Causes we're family.
Clementine help Kenny stand up then they head north towards Wellington, while walking they heard a sound like a baby crying. The two started to look around to see if they saw anyone, clementine opens up a car door only to see AJ wrapped up and tucked away.
Clementine: KENNY!!
Kenny: Holy shit, he's alive.
Clementine: Why did Jane lie to us?
Kenny: I don't know but let's hurry up and get the baby out of the snow.
The two walked away in the sunset together. A week has passed since then and they have finally reached Wellington.
Clementine: HELLO! ANYONE THERE?
Woman: We can only take one person and the baby.
Kenny: Clementine.
Clementine: Yes.
Kenny: I guess this is goodbye for now.
Clementine: No, No No. We're not splitting up.
Kenny: Yes we are.
Clementine breaks down into tears and starts to cry.
Kenny: Don't cry clem.
Clementine: if Lee was here what would he do?.
Kenny: He'd probably leave this place with you but I'm not Lee and you're taking care of a baby remember, Do this for AJ sake.
Clementine: Stay safe Kenny...please don't die.
Kenny: I won't clem. Now go.
The lady opens up the gate and Clementine enters Wellington with AJ in her arms. Clementine looks back as the gates were closing slowly, she saw Kenny standing there waving his hand and smiling at her.
The gate finally closed and she lost sight of Kenny.
Women: I'm Edith, what's your name?
Clementine: My name is clementine but you can just Call me clem.
Edith: And what's this little guy name?
Clementine: Alvin junior...AJ for short.
Edith: I'm sorry about earlier.
Clementine: It's okay. You're just looking out for everyone here.
Edith: There are not a lot of empty rooms left. Would you like to stay with me at my place?
Clementine: Are you sure?.
Edith: I'm sure, plus you'll need help with the little guy.
Clementine: Thank you.
Edith: Okay...follow me clem.
Clementine decided to take up Edith on her offer and stay with her at her place which is a lot bigger and safer for her and AJ.
A few minutes passed and they finally reach their destination.
Edith house has two-bedroom and a kitchen with a bathroom.
Clementine: WOW!!. Are you the boss of this place?.
Edith: Nope, I'm an important member.
Clementine goes into the kitchen and sits down on a chair.
Edith: Let me give you two something to eat.
Clementine: Thanks for everything.
Edith: No problem. So clementine tell me more about yourself. How old are you?
Clementine: I'm 11.
Edith: So young. Who took care of you all this time?
Clementine: There was this man, his name was Lee and he took care of me till his very end.
Edith: I'm sorry to hear that.
Clementine: It's okay.
Edith: Here's the food. Rice and chicken.
Clementine: Can I eat this?.
Edith: It's yours isn't it?.
Clementine: Thanks.
***MEANWHILE***
