I had been with the WhiteClaw family for a couple of days and their daughter Terra got very comfortable asking me questions. She was the same age as me and she worked as a delivery person and I trained myself for a while. Once a day I would walk with the wolf girl and trade tales of my days growing up. I accidentally told her I had a brother and she kept asking me about him. I avoided the questions like a deadly snake, the memory was too hard for me.
around the week mark of me being accepted to the school, the Princess, who was named Anith and she was mad I was wearing my old clothes. She asked me to put them on and I refused, " Why do refuse my orders? " She said to me getting more mad at me, I told her that the clothes I have on were made by Calay. " She back off and told me to at least wear something to mark you are a student. I looked over at the patch of the school and I put it on my cloak, Anith smiled and I was told to follow her.
I said goodbye to Terra and her family, but before I went they told me to use the sir name of WhiteClaw after my sword and Calay. We walked to a portal and walked through it to a school building in the middle of space in-between space and time. I was to keep following her and but I saw people and Races I've never seen before. I was marking them off like crazy. Apparently, there was six or more school across the world to cater to the gifted. There were six magic schools and the rest were for the peasants and servants. So you could say of not being part of any class was a great opportunity for me.
The whole place was filled with races of all kinds, some wore red uniforms to show that they aren't royalty and White for Royalty. I was still wearing my Black and red clothing from Calay, Everyone in the immediate area turned to look at me. Some mages and magic users of this world can sense the magic potential of every person they see. Mine was of a dragon and they were all scared of what I was as well. I couldn't hide my dragon side from being raised by a dragon, we walked on by and went to my new room where I would be staying during the school's terms.
I was then told something that made me very angry by the way the class system was in this world. If you weren't a member of the Royal family or a high-class citizen I would be put in the regular classes. Since I wasn't a Royal brat or born into a higher class of people I was considered a peasant. As far as I could see I was one of the strongest fighters and magic users around, The school didn't care and throw me in with the peasants anyways.
My first class was the basics of magic and I was introduced to the class, " Hello my children, this Is John WhiteClaw, he will be joining us for this day on. Go on John, tell us about yourself." The teacher said to me and the class. I thought about it for a moment, should I tell them about my mother or should I let them guess on their own.? I was so worried about what these people might think if I was a son of a dragon.
" My name Is John WhiteClaw, I'm from the east of this Kingdom and I was the one who rescued the group of students and Killed the monster attacking them. I am very well versed in fire and earth magic, as well as hand-to-hand and sword combat. My favorite thing to do is to study culture from lands all over this world. " I smiled then I went and found a seat near the middle of the group of kids. There were four kids near me that I recognized from the week before, They were the ones I saved with the Princess. They all glared at me and the Dark elf on my right lit a fire spell on my hand. She thought It would freak out, but when I just sat there she saw I was not fazed by her childish games.
" What kind of Human are you? Why don't you burn? " She said to me and I laughed a bit, " You think a fire user of my level will be affected by fire magic?" She looked mad at my comment, Then I set a stone on her foot and she couldn't move at all. She looked at the teacher who was going through the class like normal. She was showing everyone how to use their natural elemental stigma. (Everyone is born with some kind of magic element, some people can also use more than one. Those who can use more than two are known as Hero's by default, or as a villain based on where they are from.)
I saw what she was casting and I started to cast the same spell but on a smaller scale, It was an Ice spell and from what I know I need to know the basic Water and wind magic to use it. Still, I was casting it, and the group of four around me were watching me copy our teacher. I guess my special ability was to be able to copy anything in front of me. The teacher then had us go up and test our magic on this orb that would show us our natural element.
Everyone had one or two elements, but when it came up to me, I Had all six in the orb and the teacher was shocked and ran out of the room. She went and grabbed a Dark Elf from the room over and showed her. "He shows the evidence of a Hero, he has six elemental stems in him. " The elf looked over at me and she knew who I was, "You're the one who saved Anith and her friends. " She said to me then she looked at my uniform, she saw it was my own clothes. It had taken off the armor and made it look like a regular student's attire but with my clothes. This was to make the teachers happy and to keep my mother's spirit with me.
The teacher's name was Lyra and she was the one who teaches the Royal kids and the Princess personally. She wanted to take me right away but I didn't want to go anywhere, " Just because I have all this power doesn't make me a royal brat. " I said to her and some of the class gasped, Anyone here would kill to join to Royal kids. " Lyra then told me to reconsider the proposal, the whole class yelled for me to join the others.
"Are you guys sure? I'm not a Royal brat and I have no interest in becoming friends with any of them. " I said to everyone and they told me how rare it is to be a hero-level student in this day in age. I regretfully said yes after a minute of trying to get out of the Royal kid's class. I was even given Royal's room for my new student status. It was too nice and was huge more of a small house than a room.
That lunch, I was given a really nice meal and I sat alone, I didn't like the kids from the Royal class. They were very self-centered and throw around their power a lot or tried. Anith the Princess didn't do as they did, but she was very mean when it came to how good my magic was. I was eating and when I looked up I saw the group of kids from the old class gathering near me. The Dark Elf girl who was named Lilly, was very nice to me and the other greeted me with their names. ( Ronny, the Dwarf, Ross the other human, and Benny the Minotaur. )
I looked up and I smiled at everyone, they all asked me if I knew that I had six powers and I shook my head no, " I thought I had just fire and earth, my mother only knew those." The group looked at me right before Anith joined us at the table. "Who was your mother? " Lilly asked me and I was about to tell them without thinking. "John Don't you dare! They might not believe you, " Anith said to me almost yelling at me, I looked at her and she looked away. "If they promise to not say anything they can know. " Everyone told me that they would keep the secret with their lives, ( The group of kids I was starting to become friends with are servants kids of the King.)
I looked at them and then told them, " My mother is Calay the white dragon of the east, or she's more of my adoptive mother, I was to be sacrificed to her but was instead raised her. " Everyone looked at me like I was crazy but when Anith said it was true they weren't surprised that I was as strong as I was.
We sat eating together for a while till it was time to go back to our afternoon classes. The next classes were combat with magic and I was still one of the best ones in that class. I didn't hurt anyone but the teacher of the class stopped the practice fights when a girl got hurt from her own magic.
I stood over her and used a cooling spell on her burn from the bad spell, She seemed to be grateful and then a Royal brat started to talk to me like I was a peasant. " I can't believe that you did that to her, you're peasantness distracted her from using her magic. " The kid looked enraged by my presents then he walked towards me, everyone around me tried to stop the idiot but it was no use.
The guy swung at me and hit me, but the sword he used didn't even hurt or cut me. My body had gone through harsh training when I was young and it was hard as steel, most regular weapons won't hurt me if I see it coming. Calay always said though, to always watch your own back, because you never know who might betray you in the end.
I laughed a bit then I walked away from the situation saying, " Maybe she should take her lessons more seriously if she doesn't want to get hurt again. " I looked over at the girl and she looked mad at me, I mouthed to her, " I was talking about him, " As I turned to the brat trying to fight me. The girls smirked and understood.
The guy looked at me confused not getting what I said, It didn't take the rest of the group long to understand my insulate wasn't for the girl. I smiled and then a messenger came to the class, we were outside, the guy looked scared for some reason. Everyone then looked to the sky and saw a red figure in the sky. It was a huge creature, it might have been a dragon but I wasn't sure.
