"Apollo you're back!" Marley squealed as she ran into Apollo's arms.
"Hey there my little flower." Apollo responded as he twirled Marley around. "How are you doing? How's the baby?"
Marley placed her hands on her stomach and smiled up at him. "Growing everyday. Literally."
The god felt all the tension of the brewing war melt away at the sight of Marley's smiling face. He had told his father that he wanted to check up on her for safety purposes, but the truth is that he wanted to see her for his own selfish reasons as well.
Every time Apollo was around Marley he literally felt like he didn't have a care in the world. In her arms he actually felt safe, not from physical danger of course, but from all troubles of the world.
Apollo kissed Marley's cheek and embraced her. "I missed you so much, I'm sorry I couldn't come sooner. But I'm glad you're doing okay."
