Chapter 10 - Long Distance Relationship

The sun began to set. Devan went to the beverage distributor where he worked part-time as a delivery man. He goes to the shop owner and says that starting tomorrow he will stop working part-time because Devan has already got a full-time job.

"Well, congratulations, van, actually I want you to keep working here, but for the sake of your future, you have to be moved to a better job," said the shop owner.

"Thank you, sir, I hope your business will be better," said Devan.

On his way home, Devan remembers that he has to deliver a letter to Nadia. He has had the letter in his hand for a long time but he has not had time to give it to Nadia because these days he has been busy preparing for his interview.

"Oops, I forgot it!! Ok, I'm going to Jakarta now, sorry, Tam, luckily Tama hasn't come to my house"

At that time Ara was driving her car. From inside the car she saw Devan who had just left the Beverage Distributor Office and was about to get into his car. Devan looked dizzy, he scratched his head now and then.

"Wow, where are you going, boy. It seems like today I have to follow him," said Ara.

Ara followed Devan's car from behind. She was very curious about Devan's condition. Ever since Tama died, Devan has been acting strangely, it was making Ara be a worry.

Meanwhile, Nadia had just returned from her office. That day his friend named Dewi asked him to go eat at a Korean restaurant that they had previously visited.

"Nad, do you have an activity today?" asked Dewi.

"Hmm, nothing at all"

"How about we go to the Korean restaurant that we went to yesterday?" asked Dewi.

"Oh, okay, I want to eat spicy ramyeon".

"Okay, eat ramyeon at Oppa Lee Yeon's restaurant"

"You, you still remember the owner's name, really surprising"

Arriving at the Korean restaurant, Lee Yeon Oppa, the owner of the restaurant, was standing in front of the cashier. From afar he saw Nadia and Dewi almost at the entrance of the restaurant. Lee Yeon seemed to be smiling and unfocused, even though he was talking to the cashier.

"Then there's more, Hyung nim? Sajang nim?"

"Jamkkanman," (wait a minute )

Lee Yeon walked quickly towards the door of his restaurant. Then he opened the door for Nadia and Dewi.

"Welcome back to our restaurant", said Lee Yeon.

Lee Yeon immediately invited Nadia and Dewi to sit down. After that, he rushed to take the menu book. When an employee wanted to give a menu book to Nadia and Dewi, Lee Yeon approached the employee and said that he would serve this one guest himself. There seemed to be something that caught Lee Yeon's attention. Is it Nadia, or is it Dewi? Lee Yeon was still unpredictable.

At Villa Putri, Tama is daydreaming in front of his room. Denok came to bring dinner. That night Tama asked Denok to accompany him to dinner, Denok happily entered Tama's room and put down the meal.

"By the way, denok.. Do you know, besides Kirana, who else can turn us into humans other than the full moon?", Tama asked.

"Hmmm... it's like an old woman who cursed Princess, and.. oh yeah, the grim reaper can also be?"

"Huh, grim reaper?"

After finishing dinner, Denok tidied up the cutlery and returned to the kitchen. Meanwhile, Tama contemplates while lying on his bed. He thought about how he could meet the grim reaper. Besides, is it safe for Tama if he meets the grim reaper? Will he succeed in turning into a human, or will he be taken to the afterlife by a grim reaper?

"Hmm, but I've already signed the contract, I should be free from being chased by the grim reaper".

Meanwhile, Devan waits for Nadia, who hasn't come home yet. Devan sat in the living room of Nadia's house, accompanied by Nadia's mother. Nadia's mother has tried to call Nadia but there is no answer. It seems that Nadia enjoyed her dinner. Devan began to feel awkward, he finally decided to leave the letter to Nadia's mother. After that, Devan said goodbye to go back to Banten.

Devan came out of Nadia's house, and Ara watched him from a distance. But Ara didn't know that the house Devan visited was Nadia's, because after Nadia moved to Jakarta, they all lost contact with Nadia.

Devan drove his car back to Banten, and Ara followed him from behind. Devan began to feel something was wrong, occasionally he looked in the rearview mirror.

"I have a feeling that the car has been following me for a long time, who is it, I think it's Tama's boss?"

Devan drove his car so fast that Ara couldn't catch up.

"Shit, why is he so fast, he's gone," said Ara.

Half an hour after Devan left Nadia's house, Nadia arrived at her house. Then her mother gave a letter that was entrusted by Devan to Nadia.

"From Tama?" asked Nadia.

"He, Devan was here, he's been waiting for you for a very long time, so just leave it," replied Nadia's mother.

"Devan gave Tama's cellphone number, didn't he? Or did he leave his business card?"

"No, just give me a letter"

After receiving a letter from Tama, Nadia went straight to her room. She put the letter on the small table in her room. Then she showered and changed clothes. After she finished bathing and changing clothes, Nadia returned to take the letter, she opened her bedroom window so that she felt a gust of wind into her room. Nadia sat in a chair beside her bedroom window. He slowly opened the letter from Tama.

The cold night wind blows to the bone. But Nadia remained strong. He read the letter quietly.

"Days pass without you, I miss you.. if I could repeat it once more, I want to share stories with you from childhood until we both wore a toga. But now we have to be separated by a distance that may be difficult for us to greet each other or say hello every day. But my love for you never fades by distance and time. Don't worry because I'm not there beside you. Even though I'm not there beside you, my prayers are always with you. See you again my love. From a man who always loves you. Ananda Pratama".

After Nadia finished reading the letter, there was a sound of thunder. Soon it was raining heavily. Nadia began to be unable to withstand the cold that night. She closed her bedroom window and got ready for bed.

"Separated by a distance that might be difficult to say hello to every day? It's too bad. Jakarta - Banten are close," said Nadia, frowning.

Nadia lay on her bed then she pulled the blanket.

"Good night Mr. Mysterious boyfriend, watch out, when I meet you, I pinch his cheeks until they are red".

Nadia began to fall asleep.
