Five days has passed since that day. He has been continuing on conquering the first floor.
While doing that, he also made some improvements from himself. Literally.
He thought that if he can upgrade even his ability, then maybe he can upgrade his own body.
It seems like he can, though he let out a string of curses after seeing how specific it is.
Each parts of her bodies are separated from the upgrades. Anytime he is trying upgrade his body, he will be prompted first what part of his body he wanted to upgrade before he can upgrade it.
It even specifies whether it's the right side or the left side. Like his eyes and limbs.
Due to this, he has been using up most of his upgrades to his body. These are the upgrades that he made.

Upgrades : 25
The upgrades he made on his body makes him stronger. He can feel a well of energy inside him that makes him more vigorous. He also didn't feel easily tired now.
Also, it have the added benefit of making him look fit. His lean build turned into something like that of an athlete.
His vision is clear, and he can think things through a lot more faster than before he upgraded his body.
He felt a lot more healthier now. Even if he wakes up early, it didn't affect him that much anymore.
He even tried using his strength and found out that the heavy weapons that needs his arms to carry one can only be carried by one of his hands now.
It is a great transformation. He felt so invincible right now.
But he knows he shouldn't be too complacent. He only have one life. Making mistakes will be very detrimental, and in fact the worst thing he can do.
He is alone, so no one will help him. He have to be careful not to get injured, or he can only blame himself.
As for the progress on the first floor, he is making slow progress. He made a lot of laser turrets and wall turrets on each corridors on the first floor. He didn't leave any corner unassigned and leave securities in there.
As he goes deeper into the first floor, the amount of rat corpses that his turrets are making are increasing exponentially. Though there is a general direction right now.
The rats haven't reach the stairs these past few days. Most of their corpses are piled up deeper on the eastern side of this building.
So he makes sure to focus his attention there, making more turrets there as he slowly moves forward.
Today, he is going to make more turrets in there.
He have secured some rooms, but he wanted to secure a lot more.
After taking care of the rat corpses, he repaired the floor by upgrading it again.
After that, he moves on the most darkest parts of this building.
"... Hm?" He squinted his eyes as he got to another corner.
With his enhanced senses, he can hear some squeaking noises on the distance.
He immediately created a laser turret and one wall turret above the ceilings and at the same time, take the burn rifle on the dimensional storage and take aim on that direction with his one hand. At the same time, he puts the bright lantern besides him.
This is to better his aim on the front. His now free hand hold the rifle too, aiming more carefully in that dark area.
He can feel something staring into him, making the hairs on his back rises. He took a gulp of the stale air as he tries to calm himself, his eyes not leaving that general direction.
It took a suspenseful moment, until he heard the sound of something grating. Footsteps that are both fast and hasty quickly rushes to him, which causes him to widen his eyes and take a step back.
With his enhanced vision, he managed to get a general outline of it's appearance.
"Fuck!"
Without hesitation, he pulls the trigger on his burn rifle. At the same time, the laser turret and the wall turrets detected the fast approaching hostile and revved their nuzzles.
*SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
A sound that seems to come from the depths of hell itself resounded, causing him to widen his eyes in panic.
The bright light of the lantern shows it's appearance slowly, making him steps back a few more.
"Shit!"
He pulled the trigger once more, leaving a trail of burning light to the approaching assailant. The bullet wheezes through the air and hits the flesh of the approaching large beast.
It let out a shriek that is grating to the ears, which causes him to lose focus. He covers his ears as he takes another step back.
He saw a giant rat with it's pair of red orbs as it's eyes staring viciously at him. Along with that rat, there are many others following it's lead, making their own war cries that felt like the howl of beasts from hell.
"Fuck fuck fuck!"
He kept swearing as he takes two more steps back. Then he stood his ground and glared at them.
"Motherfuckers!"
He takes aim at the approaching giant rats and pulls the trigger repeatedly.
He didn't have to worry about the bullets. The DF system told him he have infinite ammos, thanks to his generous gift of infinite pizzas.
The laser and wall turrets also shoots their laser shots at the enemies, ridding them with holes.
The rats screeches in pain and anger as they were burned, cauterized, then brutalized by the large amount of shots.
There are so many of them, but he didn't want to take a step back. He have to destroy them here right now.
'I have to know where they come from!' He thought to himself.
Despite shooting a lot of them down, another batch of giant rats are just approaching.
"These giant lards of assholes!" He gritted his teeth as he stops using the burn rifle.
He didn't have the time to put it back to the storage, so he just throws it to the ground as he gets another weapon within the dimensional storage. This time, he takes the Power Repulser.
He holds the trigger in it, letting it charge the electricity in it's mandible-like tips. The laser turrets are holding off the horde of monsters on his front, giving him enough time to charge it up.
"Eat this!"
He lets go of the trigger, letting the concentrated charge of electricity fly through. It passes near the laser turrets and quickly hits one of the giant rats that's currently leading their group.
A huge pulse of electricity wafted through that corridor, electricity coursing through their flesh bodies. They let out a loud and deafening squeal, the smell of burnt flesh emanates on the air.
He pinches his nose at the smell while feeling a bit disgusted at the rats that are being electrified. The discharged electricity seems to have spread at their swarm.
It is their own undoing that they are swarming up on this narrow corridor. So the electricity passes through them like a baton.
He felt like heaving a sigh of relief, though he jumps in fright when he heard the sound of his turrets shooting on the other direction from the distance.
"Shit! I have to get out of here!"
Without waiting for it, he takes the burn rifle and put it on the dimensional storage. He also didn't forget about the lantern and take it.
Despite his clear vision, he still needs the light. It feels so scary not having any light source!
He runs away from this area, hastily going to the stairs. It is a good thing that the general path he is running away too is not the place where he's hearing it. It seems like some other hostiles are appearing on the other parts of this floor where he installed the laser turrets.
It might be obvious, but he thinks it's those rats.
He managed to get upstairs and go straight to his room without encountering any more of those giant rats.
