Dante began to walk around the graveyard of corpses, and with no signs of life anywhere around him, he decided to see what the large opening led to that was the only exit and entrance from the corpse disposal area.
When he tried to go and check though, he heard loud footsteps approaching, and before he jumped behind a corpse to hide, Dante caught a glimpse of the Warrior Troll King from before.
It was mumbling to itself while picking up corpses, 'Master hungry, must collect food.'
With that, Dante saw the monster turn around and leave the way it had come from. He decided to follow the direction it was coming from, and was amazed to see that wherever he was seemed more civilised than the Dungeon, although the material it was constructed from was the same as the Dungeon walls so he concluded he was still inside of it.
It seemed as though he was in a primitive castle of sorts, and there were even large doors which were slightly broken, which was probably due to the Warrior troll King's strength.
Dante did not know where to go, but he wanted to explore, so that's exactly what he did. He entered multiple rooms, although most of them seemed barren.
There was a bedroom that looked empty apart from a bed and some bones in the corner. The bed was huge, and because of this, Dante assumed it was the Warrior Troll King's bed.
He had thought that this powerful monster may have been the boss of the area, but he had heard it call something Master, which would imply that it was simply a servant of some sort.
Dante decided to look at the Warrior Troll King as a sort of mini-boss of the area, and whatever its master could be was more than likely the real boss.
Having explored it in its entirety, Dante decided to leave the room he was in and return to the main hall area, but this was wildly unsuccessful.
This was due to one reason.
'Speak of the Devil' Thought Dante, before he dodged out of the way of a massive war hammer that smashed into the ground.
The 'mini-boss' that he had been thinking of previously had returned and had its eyes set on Dante, probably as a meal for its Master.
Dante was much smaller than the Warrior Troll King, but he was sure that he could fight back with his evolved form, and gain some experience and levels to fight against the real Boss.
The enemy's war hammer was stuck in the ground for a few seconds, but it ripped it out and it swung quickly upwards as a result. This meant it needed a few seconds to get back in a stance to fight.
Dante saw these few seconds as an opportunity, and before the monster in front of him could start and endless barrage of attacks, Dante began his instead.
He used his new attack, but rather than focusing it on the ground, he wanted to see if it would work on the enemy he was facing. This was risky, as he had never tried it before, or even the skill in general.
Dante's arms began to swing wildly, and incredibly quickly, and he could feel the insane power behind each of them compared to his old attacks. These punches all connected with the stomach of the Warrior Troll King, and Dante could feel the damage he was doing.
Although the enemy had previously seemed out of his league, he now knew that he would be able to destroy it with little to no difficulty. his punches continued, and he could tell that everything inside of the enemy was turning into a paste, and then further into a liquid.
When the attacks stopped, Dante could see the monster begin to swell, before all of the juices which had been stored inside of it were forced to be released, and everything came spewing out of its mouth, leaving a pile of disgusting blood and guts soup in front of it.
Dante could immediately tell after this that he had levelled up, three times from that one monster. Three out of fifty is all he could think, it wasn't exactly close, but it was a good start and it was quick to reach.
Seeing as he only got three levels from the strong enemy, he realised that the experience needed did not reset to what it had been at level zero at rank zero, instead it was still as high as before his evolution, if not higher.
This was not a hard fight, but it did make him realise something very important. No matter how strong an enemy, if they have no chance of attacking, then they can't do anything. Always striking first is an incredibly helpful thing to do, and not letting the attacks end is even more helpful.
He also realised that he needed to be hesitant, as if he had been. second too late, he may have been squashed by the enemy without even knowing.
This would mean he would have no chance of ever returning home, as he would be both in another world, and dead.
Dante snapped out of his sombre mood and thought about making his way to the 'Boss' of the area, and seeing if defeating it would do anything for him.
He walked around the giant corpse of his former enemy, and entered the room that it had come from, which seemed to be where the Boss was located. There was an obvious difference in the two rooms, as the previous room had been somewhat light with a few torches, whereas this hall was dingy and smelled like blood.
It was a very long corridor, but Dante's speed and stamina were top notch, so it didn't take him too long to get to the end of it. When he did reach the end, he was greeted by a massive stone door with a huge amount of complex engravings on it.
When he saw this, he felt as though the enemy behind the door may not just be an area boss, it may have been the boss of the entire area.
