Thousands of years ago, humans lived in prosperity along with beastmen,dwarves,elves and the demons.
The 5 races lived together in harmony and after a discovery made by the elves who discovered a mysterious energy around us now known as magic. They shared their discovery with the other races and found it could create water ,build houses ,create fire and prospered off it. However the demon king, Damon, found that what was used to create could also be used to destroy.
The world plunged into chaos as the demons having the biggest population attacked the other races.The war lasted several hundreds of years never ending until one day a flash of light shone in the sky lasting an entire day, babies born at that moment from all the races except demons glowed after this phenomena.
These children later grew up to be known as "heroes" possesing extremely strong affinities for the elements and enhanced strength.
And so the demons were driven into a corner ending the war as they all went to hiding. The other races still did not understand the flash of light and was judged as the gift of god and later known as "elemental discharge" and so the world enjoyed its peace for the next 2,000 years.
And now a new story unfolds, a legend of the strongest of the awakened. Not a hero, not a sage but a ....

"what am i doing here?"
The sound of the thundering lightning struck as the heavy rain poured over me lying on the ground.
"why did this have to happen to me?"
I'm akito just an ordinary village boy who worked in a farm, except i'm not so ordinary. I am an "awakened" someone who has received the blessing of god, the elemental burst, however i am still nothing special I am not particularly smart neither am I strong and I can't even use basic magic. Regardless the village still treated me well since we were a small village we needed to stick together. That is until tragedy struck.
several hours ago.....
"wake up big brother!"
A little girl jumped on me and elbowed me in the stomach.
"Ow! How many times do i have to tell you not to elbow me karin."
"well it's your fault for not waking up on time brother."
This is karin my eight year old sister though she acts more mature than me who is twice her age.
She excelled in sport and studies and with her silky blonde hair accompanied by large red eyes and slender body there was no boy in the village who did not have a secret crush on her.
"Big brother, mom asked you te go out to hunt for more meat and find some vegetables."
"Alright alright."
Although i wasn't strong for an awakened i was still weak for my age for my level.....is 1. Even Karin is level 5. Somehow despite continuously hunting i could never get enough exp to level up. However the reason i can still go hunting is because of my bow and arrow. With the right tools and technique the level 1 me can even kill a level 7 boar. And with my gift of being an awakened "senses up" which was a slight enhancement of my senses I could spot and shoot a boar from a mile away and hitting the right spot would ensure instant death.
"Oh? finally awake dear? I thought I'd have to call the blacksmith over to refine your poor sleeping habits"
This is my Mom , Karen she was a beauty just like karin whith the same large red eyes but silver hair. Karin probably got her blonde hair from our father. I know i shouldn't be saying this as her son but the only difference between karin and Mom was probably the fact that Mom had a large chest which always seemed to be jiggling around. Our mother was so beautiful that you could always see the men pretending to walk by our house just to gaze at Mom. Of course Dad always gave them the death stare, that is until he died while out hunting.
" 'Yawn' Quit teasing me mom you know I was on night guard last night."
"HaHa of course i know my boy's all grown up now. C'mon eat up, your breakfast is getting cold."
"alright alright"
I down wolfed my breakfast and lazily made my way out for the hunt.
"I'll be off then."
"Take care big brother!"
I went off to hunt as usual but couldn't find a single monster, so i walked further in than usual hoping to find monsters, however....
"That's odd, i've been out for 2 hours now and not a single boar in sight.What's with my luck today."
"Wait, finally there's a boar about half a mile away guess we won't have to starve tonight."
I readied my arrow and was prepared to shoot until i heard someone whisper in my ear "turn around!" i turned and saw nobody behind me, however what I DID see gave me goosebumps. There was smoke intensely rising from my village!
I rushed back using all my power chanting the same thing in my mind over and over again " please have nothing happen!"
I reached the entrance of my village and saw it. Bandits were ravaging my village killing everyone in sight, even the children were mercilessly killed.
Looking at this horrific sight i just stood there thinking of what to do next. Then i spotted their leader, he was a big bulky man over 2m tall and his level was...101!
"Holy crap, a level 1 like me stands no chance!"
But looking at the gruesome scene of my neighbors getting slaughtered, I pulled out my arrow and attemped to take out an eye to at least make them retreat.
"Urgh what am i doing with my life, it's do or die now!"
I put all my pathetic magic power of 10 into this one shot. This was the strongest arrow i ever shot in my life i was sure i could at least take out an eye. There the arrow took off and hit it's mark.
"Yes! bullseye they must probably panicking right now, time to run."
However before i could run, i saw something odd. Rather than panicking they were... laughing, but why their boss just lost an eye until i realized. No matter how much i try there's no way to close that level gap.
The boss of the bandits turned to my direction and I was blown back against a tree.
"Heh, so you're the brat that shot me! I thought it would be a strong magic archer. Now let's see your lev- bwhahahah you serious, a level 1 bastard tried to kill me hahaha! You should have ran while you could."
"But you gotta admit he got you good boss it's been a while since you ever got hit! Hahaha!"
"Shut up newbie if you say that again you're dead. But it's strange I can clearly see his level but I can't see anything else not even his class."
That was something even i didn't know about, i figured my magic power was 10 after several trials and error but i could find anything else not even my class.
"W-why! why are you doing this to us, we are just a peaceful village in the countryside with nothing valuable."
"Huh? What are you talking about, since you're about to die, the generous me will tell you. It's because you're all weak, it is the right of the strong to do as they please to the weak and the fate of the weak to obey the strong."
"F-For that hypocritical reasoning you killed everyone! These people had a life! A future!"
"And all i hear is babbling from the weak. But I will commend your courage. I'll let you live."
I smiled at his reply "He'll let me live? I don't have to die?"
But a sinister smile spread across and said "AFTER I take an eye." My eye was immediately ripped and all i could hear was my own screams of pain " AHHHHHHGGGGGG MY EYE MY EYEEEEEE!"
"Heh! This is quite the literal use of the phrase an eye for an eye. Let's go boys we've got a lot of work to do."
All i could do was watch as the pain prevented me from moving as my consciousness began to slowly ... fade...
