Synopsis
This is my comeback to fanfictions based on ships. It's gonna be different, because unlike my Sonaze fanfiction, it's more down to Earth, a slice of life as people call it. The story is told in the eyes of Amy, who is struggling with her past, and wants to find a way to have Sonic notice her without fangirling all over him. The rights for the Sonic The Hedgehog series and its characters belong to SEGA. Some characters in the story may not be in the Sonic games, but most of them are.

Chapter 1 - Part 1

A lot of time has passed, and I can't even remember what the past was like. All I remember is my stupidity that I had towards Sonic. I felt bad that I was just chasing him around, and it wasn't worth it at all. We both have changed since. I became a normal girl haunted by her past, and Sonic became a calmer person.

Basically this is where this story started. I was thinking about visiting the town, to get some stuff I might need. While walking I was thinking about my past. I felt bad that some people still knew me by that self. I just wanted to look different, wanted to hold back my feelings and all. On the other hand more people seemed to like me after I changed, so I guess it was worth it.

Arriving to town I immediately went to buy some food, because I was running low on those, and didn't wanna starve. I've noticed some clothing stores as well. I decided to take a look. I found this dark purple dress there. It was like an everyday clothing, so it didn't look flashy, but it did look more mature. I decided to buy it, and change into it in the nearest changing booth.

Upon walking around in my new dress I saw a brown hedgehog getting kicked out of a bar.

"Get out and don't come back in here again!" They said. The hedgehog looked angry, clearly thought it was unfair.

"Fine! I hope your bar burns down!" He said. I looked at him in disgust. He looked like he could do better, but he just refused to admit defeat.

"Pathetic. No wonder why they don't want him in there." I muttered to myself.

I kept walking, ignoring that guy, and soon enough I found the chili dog stand Sonic used to hang out at with his friends. Because he was busy with other stuff, he didn't have time for something like this anymore. It made me sad, I missed that if I have to be honest. I sat down on the bench, and was thinking about stuff. Mainly my past. I know people tell me that I shouldn't be thinking about that, they haunt me, no matter how much I try to change that. If I wasn't like that, Sonic would've liked me more. Well, what could I do? Honestly I just wanted to take it easy and just wait, so maybe there will be a perfect time for that. Then I heard footstep, and seen a shadow, and that someone seemed to come towards me. Then I looked up, and what I saw is what I couldn't believe.
