She looked around and noticed there was no one left on the streets apart from her, she was so carried away with the moon that she totally forgot that it was late and most human beings would have retreated for the night. apart from her there was no single soul in sight, she got scared staring into the thick darkness surrounding her.
There was no street light or any other source of light shining, only the moonlight luminated the dark, gloomy street. Although she loved the moonlight, she was still very much afraid of the darkness, it creeped her out and made her feel paranoid, it made her feel like there were a thousand eyes staring at her. The cold wasn't helping either as it seeped through her skin and chilled her bone.
She heard the foot steps again and she immediately began walking fast, she had been so fascinated by the moon earlier that she had disregard her fear of the night and stood there for hours, now she was blaming herself and also her drunken mother.
If it weren't for her drunken mother, she would never have come out this night, she had only gone out to buy some sobering drink for her mother and now she felt like she was being stalked.
"Hey guys look, it's a little girl" a group of boys had walked out from an alley behind her.
Fear engulfed Elara's heart when she heard this making her pause for a bit before she quickened her foot steps again.
"little girl wait up! quick she's getting away!" the men said and chased after her.
She ran with all her might but still there was no way she could out run them, in no time the boys cut up with her and then she was surrounded by them.
"little girl why are you running? we are not going going to hurt you" although the boy said this, the smile on his face said otherwise.
"what do you want?" her legs were shaking to the point they almost gave her body to the ground and her heart was beating so much that she thought it was going to break out of her chest but yet her voice was firm, she spoke calmly without any trace of fear.
"we don't want want anything, little girl the streets are dangerous for a girl like you to be walking alone at night, why don't we take you home ehn?" one of the boys said, he tried sounding sincere and honest but his expression gave out his true intentions, although it was dark, the moonlight was bright enough for him to see the face of the girl standing before him.
she was beautiful, very beautiful and he couldn't help but lust over such a beautiful girl.
"thank you but I can find my way myself" she decline then turned to leave but was stop again
"come on don't be like that, we're only trying to help you, we'll take you home but...you'll have to pay a little something in return" the boy said again, he had a mischievous smile on his lips as he took slow steps towards her.
Elara saw him inch towards her and then she too began taking little steps backwards.
"I don't need you to take me home, I can go myself! you're all just trying to bully me!" she exclaimed at him.
"Ahh!" she cried out when the other guys had suddenly pushed her into the arms of the guy walking towards her.
"tsk tsk, are you calling us bullies? that isn't a kind thing to say to people trying to help you right?"
He grabbed unto her waist and held her in place while one of his hands caressed her cheeks lustfully. Elara was disgusted by his touch, she wringled her body to break free from his touch but he just wouldn't let go.
"let me go!" she seethed through gritted teeth
"or what?" He laughed wickedly "right now I can do anything I want to you and neither you or anyone else can save you"
Hearing him, Elara became angry and scared at the same time, she was scared cause she knew he was right, they have surrounded her and there was no way she could escape. but how could they do this to a defenseless little girl, she hadn't done anything against them so why were they targeting her, they claim to want to help her but in actual facts they are just like a pack of wolves waiting to gnaw at her bone.
His lustful groping and the snickering from the other guys infuriated her the more, she clenched her fist angrily
"get off me!" her blueish green eyes flashed white as she yelled, she initially wanted to push the boy's body away from her but it was like the strength on her hands had doubled the boy's body was sent flying away.
"Ahh!" the boy shrieked as he hit the hard cold floor.
"boss!" the others exclaimed surprisingly.
some ran to help the fallen boy up why others surrounded Elara.
