Chapter 17 - Snake's Nest 2

The man was wearing no clothes, only worn knee-length pants, his skin was pale white like the color of a vampire's skin, he was neither fat nor thin, his body was ordinary, like a teenager's stature, did not feature excessive muscles like Morgan's, black hair straight, very visible when cut, his eyes were golden, he hissed, baring his canines.

"Your name, Minu?"

Minu nodded then shook his head, he again stroked the ivory white oval egg lovingly while sitting on a flat stone with dry leaves. He hummed, ignoring Iris and Morgan's presence.

"You, not human anymore," Morgan continued as he approached, Minu chuckled, looking back at Morgan.

"So what? Is there a problem?" Minu replied in a disapproving tone, he very rarely interacted with other living beings so he became easily offended, his tongue sticking out, forked, just like the little girl earlier. "The problem is that you guys enter my nest. Look! My children are awake!"

Small snakes roamed around their feet, hissing at Iris and Morgan as if grunting along like Minu

Iris massaged her head, which felt dizzy for some reason, she knew that the effect of the curse of the White Wizard was his extraordinary childish effect, but she didn't expect it to remain permanent even after the curse was released.

"We need your help," Iris said with pleading eyes, sitting on a rock, stroking the oval egg along with her. Secretly stealing her heart to face Minu's childish behavior, when compared to Thomas, his attitude is sweeter than Minu's curt.

Minu snorting in annoyance, pushed Iris's hand away from the egg. For him, no one should touch the eggs but himself, he looked at Iris and Morgan alternately, his brow furrowed, his lips pursed. The man knew if someone looking for him must have something to do with the curse that happened to him in the past.

The curse that almost took his life, the White Wizard curse.

"Who got the White Wizard curse? You? Or you?" Minu pointed at Iris and Morgan without further ado, he was confused, neither of them showed any signs of being hit by the legendary curse.

Iris has long black hair, her body is slender, and she looks healthy, as well as Morgan who stands proudly, without being asked, Minu is sure that these two people are healthy and will live a long life.

Iris glanced at Morgan then shook her head.

"No, but… our friend." Iris cleared her throat, her face red, then glanced at Morgan.

Minu just nodded understandingly, in his heart, he grumbled again. If this was his friend, where was he? Is it time to just leave it? Is it dead? Why look for it if the person doesn't exist?

The man chuckled, he chose to ignore Iris again, he had a lot of work to do, his hand moved to pick up the oval egg and place it carefully on a pile of dry leaves, his hand moved to pick up another egg.

"He was taken by your partner," Morgan continued suddenly.

"PRAK!"

Minu glared, the egg in her hand came off and cracked on the ground. Luckily, it didn't break into pieces, his face turned pale, a second later, she immediately took the egg, stroked it affectionately with teary eyes.

"Ouch… honey… I'm sorry ... " He said in a soft voice, stroking the egg and kissing it.

Iris rolled her eyes, it turned out that besides Morgan, there was someone else who was more or less insane, one level below Morgan, she stroked his chest while taking a breath. The feeling of living in the swamp of death was better than breathing the same air as these insane people.

"Minu, we're serious!" Morgan insisted.

Minu put the egg back carefully, he hissed and looked coldly at Morgan. "I'm also serious, why did he bring it up?"

"He suddenly attacked us," said Iris hopefully anxiously. "And he brought Tomy."

"Just like that?"

"Yeah, just like that."

Minu took a deep breath, his eyes looked down at Morgan with a condescending look, then nodded for a moment, his brows furrowed as if he was thinking about something then he stood up and took a shirt hanging on a rock.

"Follow me."

"Is he going to do something?" Iris hurriedly followed Minu's footsteps, the man walked quickly, his bare feet firmly on the ground, unafraid of slipping on the egg-scented floor.

"Of course, who do you think turned me into a snake-man like this," Minu grumbled with his hands on his hips, his face red and tears starting to fall.

"I was a free human before, all because of that snake girl! I can't be tall anymore ....."

Minu looked up and looked at Morgan with hatred, he inched closer to Morgan, tiptoe to be the same height, but he snorted again when he was still inferior to Morgan's height.

"Will Tomy be all right?" Iris ignored Minu's complaint, she bent slightly to match Minu's height.

"He'll be fine if we hurry, the problem might be that your friend is currently having fun," Minu said as he continued to walk fast.

Iris felt her breath roar, sweat started dripping down her temples.

Minu pushed Iris, seeing her stooping down was the same as lowering herself, he lifted her chin high.

They continued to walk down the hallway going uphill, the steep rocks sometimes blocked their way, several snakes hissed every time they passed them, but they didn't bite, because Minu always greeted them with the word, 'my son.'

As they climbed upwards, the sun's rays began to seep in through the slippery and damp rocky cracks, the temperature became a little warmer, and Iris tugged at her cloak which had caught the roots of the plant a few times.

"What did you do to get cursed by the White Wizard?" Morgan looked up at Minu, who was walking in front of him, the man stuck out his tongue and smiled.

"I stole something."

Iris almost opened her mouth to ask, but Minu quickly cut her off. "I won't tell you what it is."

Iris snorted. Minu's attitude was more childish than Thomas's, it felt like Minu was deliberately making fun of them.

"Rather than that … why is your friend cursed by a White Wizard?" Minu asked, his body nimbly avoiding the stalagmites and stalagmite, the water dripped down, and a green underground pool could be seen on their right side, the water calm and without current.

"I don't want to tell you either!" Morgan replied curtly, Minu just chuckled, he stopped and looked at Morgan sarcastically.

Iris felt Minu's heart change drastically, several wrist-sized black snakes came from the cave ceiling, she immediately nudged Morgan until the man groaned. "Anyway, find Tomy first and then we'll tell."

Minu crossed her arms, nodded, then snapped his fingers. "Okay, I remember that."

They walked again, this time the sunlight had entered the cave completely, the sound of running water could be heard from outside, followed by a light breeze, a waterfall greeted them, followed by tropical trees and green grass, large stones were scattered around the waterfall that decorated it. It is shallow.

"Well … what are you doing to our guest?"
