Chapter 31 - Night Hunt 1

"She's a Witch."

Iris clenched her fists, she stood frozen in front of the door.

"I know." Thomas muttered again, the sound of small footsteps landing on the floor. "I trust her."

Alita groaned, she mumbled a few sentences of protest, the sound of footsteps and Thomas' footsteps approaching, Iris immediately opened the bedroom door a little harshly.

"Tomy, let's go eat meat!" Iris exclaims cheerfully, acting as if she didn't hear anything.

Thomas nodded slowly, he was about to take Iris' outstretched hand before Alita immediately caught his hand.

Iris glared at the vampire girl, she really hated Alita now.

Thomas withdrew his hand, he still wasn't used to the coldness of a vampire's hand, and he didn't like being treated like a child anyway.

"Come on."

Thomas walked first, he let the two women of different races walk side by side with a strange expression on his face. He saw Morgan, who was roasting meat with the dwarves, immediately sat down next to the werewolf.

Iris narrowed her eyes at Alita, she was sitting right behind Morgan and Thomas, her attitude as if indicating that the two men were hers.

Snow White didn't care about the razor sharp glares that Iris gave off, she sat between the two of them holding a bowl of fruit soup, Sie came with a ukulele, she sat on a rock and started playing it.

Snow White sang in her soft voice, Doe clapped his hands along with the other dwarves, the cold night became warm and friendly, making Iris feel at ease.

Iris looked up at the sky, scattered stars filled the dark sky, she squinted at the sight of crows circling in the sky.

"Hey brat, you should eat more before you die." Morgan sneered at Thomas while showing the cooked meat in the boy's face.

Thomas took the meat and snorted, the werewolf chuckled softly.

Iris took the apple slice that Mei handed over to her, she ate it slowly, occasionally she glanced at Alita, the vampire girl just sat with sad eyes, she looked bored.

"I want to sleep first." Alita stood up, the dwarf in the blue hat took her hand and showed her the room where Alita rested.

Iris put the plate containing apple slices into Snow White's hands, she stood up and followed Alita, her face looked irritated.

Morgan and Thomas looked at each other, the two men devoured the meat again, Snow White who sat gracefully touched the apple in her hand, she smiled faintly.

Alita arrived at her room, located at the far end of the room where Thomas was staying, the room was not large, only two meters by two, there was a bed with a white cloth, pillows and a small table.

The door opened and revealed the figure of Iris, Alita looked up and raised her eyebrows. "What is it?"

Iris sat on the small bed with her arms crossed, she glared at Alita. "You made Litzy circle outside?"

As soon as Iris woke up, she told Litzy to monitor the situation, she wasn't worried if her pet didn't come back, but when she saw Litzy circling in the sky confusedly she realized something was wrong.

"Yes, that's me." Alita took off her shoes and sat down on the bed. "I have to be on guard so they don't sense the existence of this village."

Iris turned her head, she understood that Alita meant them, it was Prince Andreas and his entourage.

"I just want to be with Thomas, please don't misunderstand." Alita leaned against the wall, Iris snorted, she stood up and smoothed her hair.

"My strength is space concealment, we are safe overnight. Except… the White Wizard who came."

"Up to you. Tomorrow we have to get out of here immediately, whether you come or not is not a big problem."

"I am coming along." Alita stroked her short hair, she smiled, her eyes glanced at the window that had not been closed, from a distance the points of light were visible, her smile immediately faded.

Iris didn't say anything else, talking more with Alita made her emotional, she quickly stepped out of the vampire girl's room, she rubbed her cold arm.

Iris walked out of the house, she looked up at the sky, Litzy was flying around and around faster and swooping up and down, she had a bad feeling.

"Iris!" Alita came from her room panting, the vampire girl she had just left her face turned as pale as a corpse.

"What is it?"

"White Wizard, I feel her approaching here."

Iris froze with wide eyes in shock, her lips became stiff immediately, that meant Prince Andreas had called White Wizard to find Thomas.

"We have to leave immediately!" Iris exclaimed, Alita nodded quickly, the two women immediately headed for the courtyard where they had roasted the meat earlier.

"We have to get out of here immediately!" Iris grabbed Thomas' hand, the boy dropped his glass on the ground in shock.

Morgan stood up and held Iris's shoulder, he watched the witch's angry face. "What happened?"

Iris was about to open her mouth before Alita cried out in a panic. "He'll be here soon, White Wizard!"

Snow White dropped her apple, she stared intently at the sky, the pink light still enveloped the village, she glanced at Alita sarcastically.

"You must leave immediately."

Doe and some of the other dwarves brought Morgan and Iris' horses, Morgan got on the horses followed by Iris while Thomas was with Alita. Iris looked at Snow White, the princess of legend firmly pointed in the opposite direction.

"Are you guys going to be okay?" Thomas asked worriedly.

"They have nothing to do with us anymore, it's you…."

Snow White did not continue her words, she glanced at Iris, the Witch rolled her eyes and nodded.

Morgan rode the horse, so did Alita, Iris looked back at Snow White's face who was far behind them, she could see the mouth of the legendary princess forming words.

Their horses galloped away, Iris cast her magic, the thick rose scent wafted through their smells, Litzy flew after them. Alita spurred her horse behind Morgan, he tried to hide their presence with his strength.

Iris gulped, they pierced through the thick foggy night, the cold chilled to the bone, her chest was pounding fiercely, she wasn't prepared to meet a White Wizard right now, her strength was nothing compared to when she met Sarah.

The White Wizard was a Wizard whose strength was above all, she couldn't face it now. Iris will lose.

"Relax, we'll be fine."

Morgan who was riding his horse made a sound, as if understanding the Witch's nervousness, Iris behind Morgan tightened her arms and nodded slowly, she leaned her head on the man's back and felt her heartbeat.

Iris took a deep breath, she felt calm for a moment.
