"My sister."
I opened my eyes in confusion. "Get away from me," I pushed them both off of me and stood up. I dusted off my skirt and picked up my handbag. "What do you mean sister? You just tried to kill me."
Arthur scratched his chestnut brown hair and sighed. "I didn't think the reunion with my sister would be so sudden." Arthur walked back to his desk and sat down, he gestured for me to sit as well. Aaron who was now staring at me just followed behind me as I did.
"I should explain. 20 years ago, our pack was attacked by a group of rouges. Our pack beat them obviously but our parents thought it wasn't safe for you in our pack. Mother and father decided to send you to a pack in the north called Dark Moon pack till you were . However, right after you were sent there, we learned that an infant was kidnapped by the Shadow pack."
"That infant was me?" Arthur nodded and smiled apologetically. "They kicked me out because I wasn't an alpha like you," I pointed to Arthur and he nodded again. "We were still looking for you, we only knew you were kidnapped by that pack."
"How did you know it was me?" I asked slightly fidgeting in my seat. "Your looks and we knew you were an omega. Omegas are rare and the chances of a random omega looking identical to me is impossible to come across," he answered calmly. "Okay but why did they kick me out after kidnapping me? Why go through all the trouble?" I wondered out loud to which Aaron replied.
"Depending on the age they kicked you out they could have had different motives. Around the ages of five to ten, they could have done it so you would die out of starvation or get killed by a different for being a rogue."
I let my face rest on my hands as I thought back to when they kicked me out. "They kicked me out when I was fifteen, I was capable enough to take care of myself. They had no motives for kicking me out then, keeping me there as a way to blackmail your pack would have been the smartest move."
"Unless they wanted to watch you turn into an insane rogue and get killed." I nodded, agreeing to what Aaron suggested, it was after all the most sensible explanation. "The past is in the past, we have finally found you, we have to bring you back to the pack house. Mother and father will be over the moon to see you."
"Sure but uhm we still need to finish this interview," I giggled at my brother's enthusiasm and pulled out my notepad. "That is if I write something much more interesting like Arthur Jude's secret sister." I joked and the both of them thought for a moment before saying okay to it.
I stood up quickly and started protesting, "It's a joke, I'm not serious about that. Just finish this interview please. Hey, where are you going?" Arthur stood up and started heading towards the door. He fixed up his suit and turned towards us with a hand on his door handle.
"I personally think a headline like that is good enough gossip and I am heading back to the pack house, our parents need to know that you're here. Come on but I suggest you mask your scent until we get there. You're still not in the pack yet and I don't want to see you killed on the first day you're back." I rolled my eyes and masked my scent, I made sure to fix !y hair before following him out.
Aaron stayed close to me like he was trying to prevent any other male from even peeking at me. "So did you find your mate yet?" I asked, trying to get rid of the silence between us as we walked out of the office to where his car was. "I have actually, just three months ago. She's going to be pleased to meet you. What about your mate?"
Aaron cleared his throat and his cheeks turned a little pink. "I found him, not too long ago actually." I chuckled, giving Aaron a small wink which luckily went unnoticed by Arthur. "Tell me more about him, I want to know the creature my sister got paired up with by the Moon goddess."
"He's a werewolf too. I assume he's the beta of his pack, very attractive and I think intelligent too." I smirked as I continued to describe what I thought Aaron was like. "He sounds like a good guy. Doesn't he, Ron?" Arthur asked lazily turning to look at the guy who was now as red as a cherry.
"Yes, he does. You should ask more about him, Thur." He cleared his throat and ran his hand through his wavy hair. "Yes, tell us more. What pack is he from and why aren't you mated yet?" I reached a hand over to Aaron's back and pinched him slightly. "If I tell you, you are going to murder him. Aren't I right, Aaron?"
Aaron chuckled nervously and turned around. "Aaron, what does she mean?" Before Arthur could catch him, Aaron had made a run for the elevator. I giggled as I watched my brother chase my mate who was running for his life. A small sigh of content left my mouth, I had found not only my mate but also my family that I didn't know was looking and cherished me. What could go wrong, right?
