Dragging the wounded man into her study, Jiang Ying Yue hurriedly closed the doors before sitting beside the man with a heavy thud, panting, forehead and back drenched in sweat, her back and limbs hurting.
Although actual owner of her body once a cultivator who also practiced martial arts but she was injured badly to point of almost losing her life, after which she went through a period of depression for a few months due to turning into a waste. All these factors added up and ended up making her body weak, which was also the reason she had to exert so much to lift a man from here to there.
Taking a few breathes she gazed at the man's face which only revealed his well- sculpted jaw and tightly pursed thin, pale lips which were turning paler by every second, urging her to hurry up with the treatment.
It was turning dark with the arrival of the evening and the air was also turning colder.
Jiang Ying Yue stood up without delay and lit the lamps of the study after which looked around for thick quilts and pillow which she used to keep the wounded warm with, before she busied herself looking for herbs and other necessities that she would require to treat his wounds.
Collecting the things required she immediately rushed back to into her study and started with the treatment.
With her skilled and adept hands she cleaned and sterilized the deep wound on his stomach and took out an ordinary needle and a reel of silk threads that quite resembled suture threats to stitch up the wound while sighing in her heart.
Wiping the beads of sweat that were formed as a result of running around, Jiang Ying Yue lifted the bottle of alcohol with the sterilizing the wounds. She was about to uncork the bottle when previously quiet Abhram spoke out suddenly, "Master, why don't use the water of Moon spring? It'll help him heal faster even without sutures."
"Huh?...", Jiang Ying Yue, who had no idea what the child was playing at, cocked her head, looking utterly confused, her actions paused in the mid-air.
"Baby dumpling, what are you babbling? Make it clear, I don't understand—and remember to be quick. I don't have much time to waste." With the last sentences added Jiang Ying Yue resumed her actions while landing her ears to Abhram.
Hearing his master's slightly impatient voice, Abhram too donned a look of confusion, which lasted a few seconds before a sudden realization struck his mind.
His small head that had been tilted to the side earlier, returned back to its original position while carrying the slightly crooked features of his round, chubby face which were currently changing to display the appropriate expression.
"Oh, now I remember!"
"Hmm? What do you remember or more likely what did you forget?" Jiang Ying Yue asked back without lifting her head as she worked to sterilize the wounds on the man's body, well aware of her little treasure's forgetfulness.
However, her actions froze midway when she came across the unconscious man's well-defined, muscular seductive body. Although the man had lean body, he had a hard chest, well-developed muscles and defined abs. Even after being riddled with many bloody injuries and scars, his body still managed to appear tempting.
Jiang Ying Yue had never seen such perfect body of Adonis.
'Gosh! He has such a nice body! I am even willing to keep him as gigolo!'
Like a lascivious pervert Jiang Ying Yue swallowed hard without showing any hint of embarrassment and continued to sterilize the wounds. Despite her wondering naughty eyes, her adept hands were strictly adhering to their duty of saving the patient.
Candlelit room was abnormally quiet as Jiang Ying Yue tended to her first patient that she met after transmigrating. Done with sterilizing when she was on her way of suturing them Abhram's timid voice rang up again.
"Em….master….it looks like I forgot to tell you something", Said Abhram while twirling one of his forefingers around the other one, his slightly lowered trembling eyelashes expressing his awkwardness due to his natural talent for forgetting some major details.
"Oh! That's nothing new—go on—", Jiang Ying Yue responded lightly with her head still lowered as she moved her hands skillfully suturing the man's bloody, gaping wound.
While the man lay there motionlessly, deep in his sleep, like a corpse incapable of perceiving any pain.
"Huh? Master?"
"I said go on—tell me, what did you forget this time?" Jiang Ying Yue seemed to have completely accepted her treasure's unique trait of forgetfulness after spending past few days with him.
The little cutie's face turned even redder hearing his master's remarks as he stuttered to tell his master what had forgotten.
"Master, it's….it's like this…the Moon spring that you have seen outside the Lotus castle, near the foot of the mountain has miraculous healing effects. Its water can cure diseases to some extent, neutralize most of the poisons, heal wounds and can even save dying man if the man still had his last breathe left."
Upon hearing this Jiang Ying Yue's lit up and her face showing her obvious interest towards this magical spring.
Looking down at the ghastly wound that resembled a centipede after being sutured Jiang Ying Yue felt an impulse to try using the spring water on the wounds.
With this thought, she hastily looked for a bowl or a container to collect the spring water and headed straight to Brahma World, where she was led by Abhram to the magical Moon spring.
"Master, look, over there!", Abhram gesticulated happily while pointing towards the direction of the spring.
Jiang Ying Yue walked forward toward the direction pointed, holding a tea kettle in one hand while holding Abhram's small, squishy hand on the other. When the duo arrived near the source of the spring, Jiang Ying Yue bent her knee and knelt down to observe the sparkling water of the spring, which appeared to sparkling and shining under the tri-colored beautiful sky of the chaos world.
Jiang Ying Yue extended her arm and felt a warm sensation as the spring water glided over hand. Closing her eyes Jiang Ying Yue enjoyed this feeling for a moment before taking out her kettle to fill the water before heading to her study, not taking any notice of the drastic changes that the water of the Moon spring had brought to her skin.
Returning back to her study Jiang hurriedly poured some spring water in a small bowl and dipped her handkerchief in it. With her careful gesture, Jiang Ying Yue took the handkerchief to dab it on one of the minor injuries on the man's body, anticipating for a miracle. And to her surprise she encountered one, her eyes opened wide and mouth agape when she saw the bloody wound on the man's shoulder healing at an incredible speed, so much so that not even its scar was left behind.
Dumbfounded by this scene, Jiang Ying Yue blinked her eyes, after which she repeated the processes of dabbing the wounds again. And this time again she saw the wound healing in visible speed in front her naked eyes. Utterly speechless, she gave up and accepted defeat, believing in the miraculous effect of Moon spring.
Since, the effect of the water too strong, Jiang Ying Yue decided to stop dabbing it directly on wounds and instead diluted it and used it with healing herbs to cover up her secret.
Hence, the herbal paste achieved greater healing effect than before owing to the spring water. However, it didn't have incredible healing speed which was visible to eyes, which was what Jiang Ying Yue hoped for.
After handling the wounds of the man, Jiang Ying Yue kindly covered him quilt and took out a jade bottle from the drawer of her study table.
Removing the lid Jiang Ying Yue turned the bottle upside emptying its content on her palm.
On her palm there were two round shaped blood red pills.
These pills were grade one blood replenishing pills that were bought by her father last year before he left for the border.
There were total five pills which cost nearly a million silver coins when they were bought from the auction hall.
However, despite the sky-high price her father insisted on buying it for her as the former owner of the body was careless and often got wounded while practicing.
As, the memory replayed this scene in her mind Jiang Ying Yue nodded her head in appreciation. General Jiang was not only a good general but also a good husband and a good father.
He was such a perfect man in all aspect. No wonder the emperor was so jealous of him.
Walking towards the wounded man she pinched his chin to open his mouth and stuffed a pill in it.
The pill when touched his tongue it melted into nothing.
"Master." Abhram who had been silent for a whole suddenly called out.
"Hmm?"
Narrowing his eyes Abhram peered at the man who lay unconscious at the moment and uttered seriously, " Master, this man is very powerful—very powerful as well as very dangerous."
"Hmm, I can feel that from his aura and gaze. But how powerful?" Jiang Ying Yue asked him with a solemn look, thinking whether it was right decision to save the man.
"That…I can't say that. You know master I am very weak at the moment. So, you should work on your cultivation as soon as possible." Getting the chance Abhram started with his nagging.
"Alright, stop nagging already. You sound like an old woman."
"Hehehe, oh by the way master, why is he wearing a mask?" Abhram scratched his head awkwardly as he asked this question.
"Who knows?" Jiang Ying Yue also mused inwardly trying to guess the reason.
"Aren't you curious master?"
"Baby dumpling, let me teach you a lesson. When one is too curious they are bound to get in trouble. And I don't want that. Who is this man and what he does have nothing to do with me, I just saved him by chance. So, there is no need to for me to know his identity unless it troubles me."
As she said this Jiang Ying Yue poured a cup of water and fed the man some water with the help of spoon and tucked him in a blanket before leaving the study quietly.
However, unknown to her the man had been aware of her every action even in his unconscious state. It was just that he couldn't open his eyes and move his body nor respond her back.
