While Jiang Ying Yue was inside the Brahma world, outside the servants were busy looking for a physician. But they couldn't find one. There weren't many good physicians in their kingdom in the first place. And those who were counted as one were haughty to the extreme and had weird tempers but above all, they all were hell-bent on improving their cultivations. So, when the servants went looking for them, most of them send them back with the same excuse 'Cultivating' and those who were available asked for an exorbitant sum of money just for a simple checkup. So, servants could only return lowering their heads in shame for their incompetence.
When they arrived at the mansion they saw their second young miss pacing around the hall and repeatedly looking towards the gate as if waiting for someone impatiently.
Seeing the servants enter the hall Jiang Ying Mei ran up to them and asked in an anxious voice," Sister Qiu, did you bring a physician?"
Qiu shook her head lightly then lowered her head, " No, the Head Housekeeper sent people sereral times and even personally went there but those people didn't even allow them enter the door let alone talking about treating people."
She was too ashamed and angry to face the little girl. Those physicians and alchemists were just too much. They wouldn't have given them a face even their Madam had gone there personally.
Weren't they just afraid of offending the Bai family?
Cowards!!
It was too bad their Mansion currently didn't have any alchemist or physicians. Some of them had gone to battlefield with the general and the rest...not long after the incident they had resignied.
Getting her to answer the little girl seemed dejected and turned to the other servant girl. The servant girl seemed to understand what the girl was about to ask and shook her head even before the little girl could ask her question.
The little girl's tears welled up and she started sobbing on the spot. She was really scared. Her sister's condition seemed to worsen day after day. Two months ago her sister was seriously injured in competition and lost her cultivation. After much effort from imperial physicians they could finally save her life but her sister could never cultivate in her life again.
When her sister regained her consciousness and came to know this it was a heavy blow to her. With her proud personality, how could she accept that fate? Her sister was a genius cultivator. She put all her effort into her cultivation so that she could make their family proud.
She was the chosen heir of the family as their family lacked a son. Thus, her sister took it as her burden and put all her effort into her training without caring for anything so that one day she could take over the military power and become a great general just like their father who was revered by everyone in their kingdom.
So, when her sister received this news she was heartbroken and locked herself in her bedchamber. She stayed in her chamber all day without doing anything just staring out the window absentmindedly. Slowly, slowly her condition worsened and three days ago she fell into a coma. Now when she finally woke she started to behave strangely. So, how could she not be worried about her elder sister?
Seeing the little girl cry the two servants tried to console their second young miss," Second young miss, don't cry. Madam entered the palace to request a physician. His majesty will surely grant this request at least to give the master a face. So, don't worry. You know they have excellent physicians in the palace so the eldest young miss will be fine. We just have to wait for a bit."
The little girl stopped crying on hearing this. It was true all the physicians from the palace were top notch so her sister will be fine she thought.
The three of them decided to head toward Jiang Ying Yue's chamber when someone entered the hall. Three of them turned to look at the person only to find that the person was Madam Jiang. She looked haggard and her eyes were a bit swollen and red. She seemed to be deep in her thoughts that she didn't even notice the presence of the other three people in the room.
Seeing her mother Jiang Ying Mei was finally relieved. She ran to her mother and hugged her tightly.
Madam Jiangcame out of her thought when she saw her daughter hugging her tightly. She adjusted her emotions and smiled at her slightly while asking her," Why are you here? Did you leave your sister alone?"
Then she turned her head around to look at the servant girls and finding both of them standing in the hall she knit her brows.
Because there was a collision on the main road Madam Jiang had taken a detour and hence she didn't know that Juan Young Your had already woken up. Thus, extremely worried.
Looking at the servants with a bit of reproach in her eyes she took a step towards her eldest daughter's chamber when she heard Qiu report, " Madam, Eldest Miss has already woken up."
" What?!"
In her chamber, Jiang Ying Yue was lying on her bed staring outside through the window thinking about what to eat to fill her rumbling tummy.
She came out of the Brahma World not too long ago when her stomach kept rumbling asking for food. She bade her goodbye to Baby dumpling promising to visit him again. Now she was waiting for those people to arrive.
After waiting for some time she finally heard some noises outside and turned to look at the door.
A woman was walking towards her bed followed by the other three people she had seen earlier.
She was around thirty years old but she had good skin. Her facial features were beautiful and it could be deduced that she must have been a stunning beauty in her youth, though she still was one. Her gait exuded a heroic ambiance that was only seen in warriors who fought on the battlefield for years.
Seeing Jiang Ying Yue look at her the woman seemed pleasantly surprised she increased her pace and reached the bed in a few steps. With a swoosh, she embraced Jiang Ying Yue and constantly mumbled under her breath," Yue'er are finally awake! You are finally awake! Baby, you scared your mom!"
The woman started tearing up, tears flowing down her cheeks that she had been holding for a long time.
Her precious daughter was so brutally assaulted by those people in the name of competition that she nearly died.
She was really scared that she might lose her daughter but she couldn't show her weakness in front of anyone. In the absence of her husband she was the pillar and support of their family so how could she show her weakness? Now that her daughter was awake everything was going to be fine.
Jiang Ying Yue was at loss. She didn't know what to do but for some she found herself tearing up; she thought maybe because she was sharing the same body and memory as the girl she seemed to possess some of her emotions too.
When the woman found the girl in her embrace crying she tenderly wiped her daughter's tears before smiling at her. Her smile was so warm and full of love which seemed to reassure her that everything was going to be fine. Looking at the woman she thought of her mother in another world, how was she doing? Did her parents know she was missing? Were they looking for her?
She missed her parents and unknowingly she burrowed her face in the woman's embrace trying to find some warmth. The woman smiled at her action and patted her back to comfort her.
Jiang Ying Yue was enjoying the warm embrace when her stomach reminded her of her duty to console it.
The woman heard the rumbling noise and looked at her daughter who seemed to be embarrassed. She chuckled softly and ordered the servants to prepare some food for their young miss.
Not long after the food was delivered to the chamber by the servants. The food was very simple with rice porridge and a few types of boiled vegetables or more like a few types of herbs.
Jiang Ying Yue couldn't recognize a single one of them.
Jiang Ying Yue tasted the dishes and found they only had salt in them and were slightly bitter just like herbs. But she was too hungry to bother about it, so she just ate whatever was in front of her.
Seeing her daughter's good appetite madam Jiang was very happy. Her daughter was not eating well for the past two months. So, now seeing her eat with gusto she was relieved.
Jiang Ying Yue ate two bowls of porridge and a plate of vegetables to fill her empty stomach although she found them too plain. After her meal, she went back to her sleep at her mother's urging.
