The blinking number in front of Asher's face did not go away, no matter how long he looked at it he only had 15 sp left. As the sense of shellshock started to wear off he looked around his stats and abruptly realized where those 320 points had gone, he had maxed his luck without realizing it.
Asher thought about the last time he had seen his stats and it slowly came back to him; he had fallen asleep while assigning Stat points, he guessed that he had done the equivalent of falling asleep on the keyboard and simply held the button until it couldn't go any higher. this was absolutely not in the plan and he hung my head in his hands for a moment before shaking it off, or trying to.
"ok, this is still infinitely better then before my hospital stay" he thought to himself "this overinvestment might not even be a bad thing, I don't know how good luck actually is."
so, to sum up the situation, he now had almost all his points invested into a Stat that was nearly unknown because it was gated behind a rare skill, and he had it maxed farther then it was likely anybody ever had before, "at the very least I shouldn't dismiss my new Stat as a lost cause before even testing what it can do." he pulled out a pen and paper (which was much easier considering he found it in the first place he decided to look) and started a list.
Step 1, investigate how luck works on the world.
1)gamble, buy lottery tickets, record average money lost/won and percentage return, repeat with cards and sports betting.
2)find previous monthly work assessments, compare to future assessments
3)establish standard for what "lucky" is, if something positively impacts me but negatively impacts me in other ways which side is "lucky"
4)does luck go beyond what I consciously know? how do I figure that out?
step 2, test combat effectiveness, enlist friend to help me figure out how I can use my luck in a fight and how to make it more effective
step 3, find out what "bettering myself" in the quest means, is there any way to get easy progress reliably?
step 4, figure out which skills are best impacted by luck and acquire them.
step 5, assess my chances of competing in the regional tournament in 6 months.
Asher smiled to himself, his goals clearly laid out, and started to get to work.
