Chamnan, Desia, and Adrin sit around the campfire on the beach, located under the shade of a large palm tree.
Desia is butchering the two wolf-like rats. Adrin is eating the berries while quietly looking at the sea while Chamnan checks on his injuries.
"The scratch wound is not too deep here. Just try to wash it when you can and avoid having anything touch your wound. Just get some rest and eat well, then I'm sure that it will be gone soon.".
Chamnan said to Adrin, who remark
"Thank you, Chamnan. and thanks for these berries. They are very delicious and juicy. ".
Chamnan smiles and sits back. Then Desia says
"So what is our next move, captain?".
Adrin raise his brow and replies
"Captain? have I boss you around too much? I didn't mean to order you guys around, I just want to tell you what I have in mind.".
Desia chuckle a bit, then he says
"Oh, you are just overthinking things. I mean it when I call you that. We are probably panicking and starving right now if you are not here to order us around. Even though the Stormbreaker is gone, you are still the prince of Stormbreaker. I'm just a guy who is good at hunting and fighting.".
Chamnan smiles and remark
"And I'm the charming herbalist who knows how to forage. Each of us has our speciality. If we combine our strength, We can conquer this island and leave it for sure.".
Adrin smiles at them and replies
"Thank you, both of you. I never saw myself as a leader before. Even though I was meant to take captain Harta place once he is gone.".
Desia look around and jokingly says
"Exactly, and I don't see captain Harta anywhere, so you are the captain now.".
Adrin nods in acceptance, then he remarks
"Alright! I will be your captain for now... I hope Captain Harta is doing fine right now...".
He then turns to look at the sky, hoping to see smoke. The sky is clear with no sign of smoke. But the horizon is still plagued with seemingly unending storms.
Chamnan says
"I'm sure he and the rest of the crew are fine. We will meet them and leave this island eventually. But for now, let's focus and plan our next move.".
Desia nods in agreement, while Adrin remarks
"We have a knife, a blade with no handles, sixteen bamboo poles, freshwater, and meats that might last up to weeks if we dried them properly... We can make some bamboo spears to protect ourselves from now on. I can also do spearfishing so we have a more stable food source.".
Desia then remark
"Is it okay I have three bamboo spears? I don't use up too many of them. But If I have to hunt animals, I need to have some backups.".
Adrin turn to stare at the bamboo piles and says
"So we turn five of them into spears. The rest of the bamboos will be our backup.".
Chamnan nods in understanding. Then he once again asks what should they do next. Adrin went quiet to think about it, then he explains
"I think we should rest and relax a bit. We just got washed up on this island this morning, and we already have to deal with dangerous animals, Since we now have the basic necessity for today, We should stop to catch some breath and recover our strength.".
Chamnan shrug and says
"That is fair enough. but I think you two need to wash those blood off your body. those bloodstains can rot and make you sick.".
Desia replies
"I'm planning to wash after I finish skinning these rats. And I think all of us need a relaxing bath after what happened.".
Adrin then says
"I couldn't agree more. Maybe I will bathe at night on the beach. you guys don't mind that right?".
Desia smiles and tells him
"That sound nice, Do you mind if I join you?".
Adrin shrug and says that he doesn't mind since they are all men here. Then they turn to look at Chamnan. Chamnan then says
"Nah, I will pass. One of us has to be on the lookout, just in case some creatures come to attack us or try to steal our food. Unlike you two, I'm not covered in blood.".
Desia then remark
" Come on, Just relax. We are all men here. what do you have to worry about? If we are together, those beasts can't ambush one of us with alerting the rest. And if anything wants to steal our food, we would see it.".
Adrin nod in agreement and says
"He's right. We should stick together and don't go anywhere alone. I almost died from that ambush because I was alone. We are all in this together now.".
Chamnan still look upset, but he nod and remark
"Yeah, I get that we should stay close to each other. But I'm still not going to bathe with you guys. I will just stay at the campfire, where you can see me. It's not that I don't trust you guys enough or anything. I just used to have my privacy respected.".
Desia smiles and tells him
"Okay, fine. Do what you please as long as you don't wander too far. We still need you if we were to escape this island.".
Chamnan nods and says
"Thank you. Now you should focus on skinning those rats, maybe We can make waterskin out of them.".
Adrin then remarks
"Yeah, that's a good idea. I'm going to lie down a bit and rest.".
Desia replies
"I'm going to focus on not ruining the wolf-rats pelts. You guys should rest a bit.".
