Back at Haven my life went on without any changes except that when I had fun with Salem and Lele Winter would join in. News about Winter being kidnapped has spread to the other kingdoms. And with it of course information about a golden knight who defeated Nicholas Schnee in single combat. They even started talking about how I took out a number of guards. That fight also served to boost Nicholas's reputation as the man face the golden knight to save his wife. I also would occasionally make appearances in front of other huntersmen to further establish my existence. Now there are rumors everywhere about a golden knight who has defeated every foe he faced. Sadly Even though a fought over hundred people not even one has challenged. That of course excluding for Nicholas.
On the upside thanks to me establishing the golden knight I get sent on missions more often. Sadly the current Grimm I have been facing don't offer much in the way of experience and GP. At first I would just save them up but now that I have tasted what real cooking is that became impossible. Right now if I eat anything that is not from Toriko it would leave me feeling unsatisfied. So no matter what I did I just couldn't amass too many points. My current options are to take some time off work go hunting, releasing the sealed grim or cutting back on my eating. If you have not already guessed the third option is out by default because how can I not let my lovely Ember cook.

Having said that I quickly went to change my clothes into a set of black jeans and shirt with a white trench coat. My coat is embroidered with golden flames on the bottom and cuffs. This coat is actually the reward I got for bring Winter back it also come with a new job. With the addition my new job my current status page has made some slight improvements.

Predator's intimidation: Due to the awakening of your gourmet cells you have become able release aura of intimidation. When faced against a beast opponent your presence has a chance to weaken them. If the opponent is far weaker than you then they will cower before you. Effect is based on how high your charisma is.

The knight job actually has a revealed another feature in the system that opens a whole world of possibilities. The feature allows me to unlock new jobs based on requirements and evolve others. Trust me when I say that my future now has infinite potential. After looking through the now more detailed job system I realized each job has rank. They are divided into low-level mid-level ruler-level and God-level the last of which is currently out of reach. My Makai knight job which was technically a freebie is classified as Mid-level and knight is low-level. As I was making my way to the academy I couldn't help but feel slightly annoyed. It took a while but I finally realized that my Yin yang bloodline is useless for the toriko system. As it turns out it only makes it easier to learn new cultivation laws from the immortal trial system. If one of the two systems were taken away I would actually be really weak. Upside since I slept with Winter my Yang Bloodline increased to 25%.
Idol thoughts filled my mind as I made my way to the dean's office to see what is he wanted. Once inside I saw not only the dean but also a young man with snow white hair and small glasses. If had to use one word to describe him then it would gentlemen. The two were having an interesting conversation about an upcoming event. When they noticed my presence the dean extended a hand signaling me to have a seat. Of course I sat down without an ounce of hesitation earning a smile from white hair.
Ozpin: Truly he is exactly as you him described him a man who while being arrogant shows respect to others. Good evening my name is Ozpin and I am the recently appointed dean of becon academy. Although I guess enough time has passed for me to drop the recent part.
I simply responded to Ozpin by giving him a nod then turned to my dean awaiting his last orders.
DH: To be frank with you Mister Sword I have summoned you so that we can discuss a matter most important. See once every four years the combat academies will get together to host a tournament. It exists as a way to allow our students a chance to text their skills as well as blow off some steam. This year it is Haven's turn to host the event so I talked with professor Ozpin on how to spice things up.

I honestly quite like the idea as it would allow me to get more attention and a chance to let off some steam. Ever since my duel with Nicholas my pride skill has remained quiet like nothing could interest it. Not even Winter's Glyphs were deemed as worthy. So I am understandably slight irritated at the world.
Escanor: If you feel that it is a good idea then who am I to reject such a fun and enjoyable event. Actually I have the perfect idea for the event. How about we let the winners in each bracket face me.
Hearing my words Ozpin cracked a smile and nodded show his support for my idea. While the dean as agreed to go through with plan they even decided that the grand prize will be a training session with me. With that out of the way arrangements for the fighting festival began.
