I took the note from the little child putting it in my pocket for safekeeping. Strange that someone would send me a note. I will read it later for now I should get ready for dinner. But the whole packhouse is running around because James has called a meeting with all the men in the pack. I wonder why he called a meeting?
Rushing to my room to wash up and go down to see if I can find James and see what is going on I completely forgot about the note in my pocket. I will get to it later. Running down the stairs I can hear all the men gathered on the grass outside. Some of the women and children are hiding in the shadows trying to listen to the meeting.
James knows we are trying to listen in on the meeting and decided to talk in a low town for only the men to hear him. This is frustrating. Eleanor saw me and made her way toward me.
"Did you find out why he called a meeting with only the men?" I asked Eleanor. If any one of the women will know it would be her.
