Yamato suddenly woke up on a couch, she immediately sat up, and looked at her surroundings to find out she's back in ROB's office. She was very confused why she's there, and how. Yamato couldn't possibly die again, soon her questions were answered as the door opened, and ROB entered the room with a cup of coffee.
"How are you, Yamato?" ROB walked to his desk, and sat down on his chair. "I take your silence that you want answers?"
"Yes, why am I here?" Yamato asked. ROB took a sip on his coffee.
"Well, you didn't die, that's for sure. Instead, you collapse from exhaustion so, I used that to pull your soul out of your body to bring it here." ROB asked.
"Collapse from exhaustion..? Wait! I was fighting with New Jersey! I couldn't possibly just pass out in the middle of the fight!" Yamato said.
"I will tell you after you collapse what happened." ROB said.
===============
Yamato skillfully dodged an attack from New Jersey, but the black dragon was hoping for it as she launched an unexpected kick to Yamato's left side of her stomach area. Luckily for Yamato, she had her shield skill still activated, so the damage from the kick was immediately nullified.
The Empress pulled the leg of the black dragon more closer to her as she punched New Jersey on the face repeatedly before slamming the black dragon to the surface of the water, New Jersey pats Yamato's shoulder three times to know she surrendered as the Empress let's go of New Jersey to celebrate her win.
Many shipgirls that were rooting for Yamato cheered loudly as the shipgirls rooted for New Jersey only groaned angrily. The Admiral was impressed by their duel while Enterprise tries to hold her anger seeing a fellow Eagle Union ship get defeated. Yamato's victory was short-lived as she passed out from exhaustion.
===============
"That's what happened." ROB said.
"Nice, I won against New Jersey, but how did I get a shield skill?" Yamato said.
"Well, that shield that protected you from the attacks of New Jersey isn't a skill, but it's already part of you." ROB said.
"What?" Yamato said confusingly.
"It's a safety mechanic, but more of a gift from me because I wanted more entertainment from you." ROB said.
"Wait, so I'm just a fucking toy for you to watch?" Yamato said.
"Pretty much." ROB honestly replied.
"Wow… I can't believe God is helping me for entertainment purposes… How shitty." Yamato said, felt insulted.
"Anyway, here, have this as an apology." ROB said, throwing a chip to Yamato.
"What's this?" Yamato asked, inspecting the chip.
"A special tool that can help you in emergencies, although you can insert it inside the computer in your ship to know what's inside." ROB said. "However, once you activate that in your ship, there's no turning back okay? Don't use it unless it's a life or death situation."
"Alright then, also. Why did I collapse from exhaustion? Was it from using the wave motion shield?" Yamato asked.
"I will explain." ROB said, summoning a small model of the iconic Space Battleship Yamato with her wave motion shield activated. "The wave motion shield is a short-lived defense for the ship, it's extremely energy draining so use it carefully."
"Can't you just modify it, so I won't get exhausted?" Yamato said.
"Well yes, I can. However, where is the fun of that? Seeing a shipgirl that can block nearly any attack incoming towards her is boring, unfair and overpowered." ROB said. "Example, having such an overpowered superhero character will just bore the reader or watcher, but having a weak, yet strong enough superhero will make the people root more for that superhero than the overpowered one."
"I see… Like from Spider-Man 2? Where Peter Parker is constantly getting punished by the world, yet he doesn't give up. Which makes him a good protagonist?" Yamato said.
(AN: Watch "Spiderman 2 — How to make a perfect protagonist by Filmento" to know the context.)
"Yes." ROB replied. "Anyway, I will send you back to your world now."
"Okay then." Yamato said.
"Before I do that. Remember something from me." ROB said.
"What is it?" Yamato asked.
"Your Admiral is more than he seems." ROB paused to drink some coffee. "He's your ally, and enemy at the same time."
[Back on Earth]
Yamato wakes up on a beach chair, and looks at her surroundings to see she's back on the beach. She sighed in relief before getting hugged by Shinano who was very worried for her older sister.
"Sister! Are you okay!? You suddenly passed out!! I was so worried when you were going to wake up!" Shinano said.
"I'm fine, Shin. Just a bit lightheaded, that's all." Yamato replied.
"Here you go, Empress." Justin said, appearing behind Yamato with a glass of water.
Shinano let go of her older sister so she could drink the water given by the Admiral. Yamato grabbed the glass, and drank the water in one go before giving the glass back to the Admiral. The Empress wiped her mouth as her eyes wandered, and landed on the Admiral's muscular body.
"[He has the same body as my boyfriend in my past life, but the Admiral is more muscular than him. Wait, they are the same person, but one is older.]" Yamato thought. She stared at the Admiral's body before realizing Enterprise was giving her the death stare behind the Admiral. "[Okay, I should stop.]"
"Are you alright now, sister? Do you need more water?" Shinano asked.
"Oh, alright now. Shin. I needed some rest." Yamato said.
"By the way, you won against New Jersey. She's now venting her anger over there." Justin said, pointing towards New Jersey screaming, and waving her arms around randomly in the air. "She will be alright soon, I saw her become very pissed about something before. She won't hate you."
"Ah, okay then. That's good, she's quite the strong opponent." Yamato said. "[I feel so bad for her, since her attacks won't able to deal damage to me because of the shield...]"
[Timeskip]
It's now very late at night, Yamato decided to sneak out of her dorm to head towards her ship to find out about the chip ROB given to her. She quietly walks through the halls of the dormitory to prevent waking up a random shipgirl, once she's finally out. The Empress immediately runs towards the docks where her ship is.
Yamato arrived at the bridge of her ship a few minutes later, the electrics turned on thanks to Yamato commanding every inch of the ship. She goes to sit down in front of a monitor as she takes out the chip from her breasts pocket which is very convenient. The Empress tries to find a way to insert the chip.
Yamato took a few moments to find a hole on the panel attached to the monitor, the hole seemed to be the same size as the chip so, the Empress inserted the chip in there. Immediately, the monitor started to bombard Yamato with information inside the chip.
"These blueprints are all about the Yamato (BBY-01)!" Yamato said with a shocked face, a message popped out of nowhere.
–––––––––––––––––
Would you like to upgrade your current ship?
(Y/N)
Note: Once the ship is upgraded, there will be no way to return to its original self.
–––––––––––––––––
Yamato immediately ejects the chip out of the panels, she puts back the chip inside her breasts pocket while also removing any evidence of the blueprints. If those were magically leaked it would be a disaster, especially for humanity if the Sirens somehow managed to develop the right technology to use Wave Motion.
If that were to happen, the Sirens will become more powerful than ever. Yamato also double checks if there's no more information about the Wave Motion Gun because its destructive capabilities can destroy a country the size of Australia. Yamato checks the CCTV to see if anyone was on board of the ship, luckily there wasn't.
"Ha…. I should definitely keep this a secret until the time is right, having a ship that is far more advanced, powerful, and has capabilities to go beyond the speed of light can attract good or bad attention." Yamato said. "I should go back to my dorm before anyone will notice me gone missing."
