Chapter 49 - The News

A few minutes ago:

It was a sunny day. C University's Campus was filled with students walking around, talking, laughing, sitting on benches, singing. Some students were reading books or preparing their projects with their laptops and tabs on.

But on the corridor, Mantisha was walking aimlessly. Her focus was lost, her mind was in complete chaos. She could not believe that even an influential figure like Uncle Adi, who blocked every paparazzi outside but still was unable to get the news out.

On this morning she was dropped at the C University by Adi. Though Adi insisted but in fear of getting discovered by the others, she got off from his car on an intersection away from her University Campus.

She was struggling with the idea of facing Herbert and Albert there, as their previous encounter changed their equations a little,or may be a lot, but to her surprise none of them came to her sight.

But somehow Judy managed to jump in front of her like she used to do, but this time she did not do it to scare her but she drag her to the cafeteria with her mind full of words and started gossiping with her and Megan.

At first she did not understand what they were talking about but by the each passing seconds, she got so scared by the news that she forgot she was still in the cafeteria.

"Last evening on a perfect place full of perfect people the fairy queen entered with the king of the heavenly realms. Hands in hands, eyes on eyes, they seemed like a perfect match made in heaven. But was everything really that perfect?

Then Cinderella of the party appeared without anyone, without any backups, but with a one in the world appearance, and a dreamy costume with one of the most valuable crown on her head, she instantly stunned everyone present there.

The Cinderella of the fairy tale was destined to be bullied. With no prince charming by her side, she put on guard and in front of her shielded appearance, no attacks could stand.

Here the modern princess, not only saved herself but also saved another princess of the party from Anastasia and Drizella's schemes.

Cinderella alone took all the blows, protected the decontamination of the young damsel princess, fought for her, and at the end she gained the trusts from the fairy queen and the king of the heavenly realms.

That party was filled with princes. But there were no prince charming of her, atleast who could chase after Cinderella by disobeying the order of the king of the heavenly realms. Thus Cinderella disappeared without leaving a trace from the party.

She came like a shallow sleepers dream and disappeared like she was never there.

Nobody knew her name, nobody knew her identity. She was like a true empress in the crowd of coward and scheming people, the pretentious princesses."

This was a mere piece of gossip, this would not be considered as a news. But a couple of blurry pictures attached with it made Mantisha's heart panic. Not to mention, wearing Ms. Eberly's famous creation, those were her photos. But to her relief, it was taken from her back.

But not giving her any space to breath, this piece of story made a huge sensation over the internet. Everybody was going crazy about the one, who was wearing the gown.

A particular comment cought everybody's attention. Someone identified the surrounding as Port of Heaven was a famous place, and many of it's pictures were available on internet, thanks to the top tier figures of the country's parties. Coupled with the fact that Miss Eberly's latest creation was sold just a few days ago, everybody assumed it was Mr. Adi Roy's party.

People's thrust pf gossip was getting heavier and heavier, as they commented about asking her identity, what happened in the party, who tried to bully whom, and especially, who's reputation was put on line.

Megan and Judy were also two of them. Mantisha felt suffocated by the each passing seconds. She could not imagine what would happen if the world knew about her being the daughter of the current Madam Roy of the Roy's Food and Hotel Chain.

Mantisha left them in the cafeteria with the excuse of going to the washroom. But did not go there. She could not understand what should she do now. She could not ask for Uncle Adi's help, right? Besides, in a situation like this, what could he do!

Letting out a long sigh, Mantisha continued to walk forward like a lost child.
