Before I got the courage to open my eyes, my head was already throbbing really bad and when I finally did, it was like someone pressed the double option on my headache's remote control
"Argh!" I said closing my eyes immediately and holding my head together with my two hands as I struggled to sit up
"Hey, babe," Emily said as she stood up from where she was sitting to tend to my needs, and even though I was relieved to find someone beside me when I woke up, I was disappointed it was not Damien, after what happened, a part of me thought that he'd be the one here by my side, tending to my needs and using that as an opportunity to make amends but alas!
