The room was dark when I entered but with the aid of my wolf's eye, I was able to see my mate who was curled on the bed with a blanket wrapped around her tightly
With a smile gracing my face with the cuteness of her posture I curled gently next to her
"Hey there" I whispered while brushing her hair away from her face and tucking it behind her ear
I know she isn't fast asleep because her breathing changed when she most likely felt my hand touch her skin but she didn't give a direct reply, just a hum
"I guess you are tired, I have to go to the office for a while, I have some business to take care of, I'll be back most likely before morning, have a good night's rest and I love you," I said gently all while playing with her hair
Somehow, I don't want to leave her alone but I don't have a choice, she didn't reply to me though, but I took no offense at it, I mean she must be tired, especially not after the whole ordeal, she went through this evening.
